| Lord Tarran02-20-05, 09:08 AM | Before you is a three story high, large, wooden building. It is obviously an inn, firelight pouring from the large front windows looking into the common room. Above the door is a sign. The Darkhole Inn Below these words is the picture of a hole. Entering the inn, you see behind the black marble counter a boy. His skin is pale white, his hair is pale blond. He dresses in black clothing, loose fitting, but at the same time form fitting. It appears that there is silver within the cloth, but only for a moment. His eyes however, they are the true feature. They are black, jet black, with a silver line down their centers, like a snake's eye. He is drying off a glass, placing it back into the rack softly. He glances up, sensing visitors nearby, and motions with one hand towards the door. The lock opens, but it was not moved by magic. The boy looks straight up, his eyes temporaliy glowing. Guests are arriving, my dear. Ready yourself. Echoes his thought speech through the building. He cracks his knuckles, and starts to prepare the counter for work. ((NOTE TO ALL: This thread starts one year after the end of the last one. For those who were in that thread, assume that eventually, the Feldriow were defeated. In the past year, Christopher (the boy) has had no contact with his friends, and as such, is not aware of the situation. Also, a note to all new players, and old players in the Darkhole who don't know. Chris is a natural born, and powerful, telepath/telekinetic, and reads surface thoughts without much thought. Hence, he will know your name before you tell him. So please, include the character's name in your first post. Also, the new character who I have yet to introduce is also a telepath, and will also so know. The rest of Chris and the new person's abilities will be detailed in the character posting place. Tarran out)) |
| Arcuna02-20-05, 06:46 PM | A young boy opens the door. He is wearing a familiar strange red and gold outfit, but it is several sizes larger than you remember, to match his increase in height. A morningstar is hanging from his waist from a thin rope. The boy walks in, followed by a man who appears to be in his late twenties. He is wearing a dark blue cloak, and an aura of powerful magic surrounds him. Chris easily determines (whether he needs to use psionics or not) that their names are Jake and Heimosu, respectively. Chris can detect the presence of another, as well, but it doesn't seem to have much more than a presence. Chris determines that the third's name is Avernus. Long time, no see, Chris! Heimosu cheerfully says as they sit down at the bar. We heard you had returned, so we dropped by. How have you been? |
| Illuminadus02-20-05, 07:40 PM | ((Just for your information, Tarran, my character is as well a natural born psion-kineticist, and as such, has mental defenses in place against other psionic-endowed characters. My surface thoughts should not be readable.)) A man enters the tavern, of average height and build, and he stands aloof in front of the door as he scans the tavern. His long, flowing white robe, trimmed in silver among the cuffs and hem, hangs down to the floor, just brushing the smooth surface as the man turns to regard the child standing behind the bar. Among first glance, the most discernable feature of the half-elf is his all white eyes, void of iris or pupil. White hair, flowing like thin foam above the river's edge, hangs to his shoulders. A smooth-carved staff rests easily in his left hand, a large red diamond set upon the head. As he faces the child, a hint of knowing comes to the smooth features of his face, and he nods slowly at the boy before taking a seat at a small table opposite the counter. |
| Khaira02-20-05, 09:44 PM | As Mazithra Amakiir, the Githerzai Planar Warrior, was running through the endless labyrinth-like tunnels of the Underdark he came upon what appeared to be an inn. Here? In the Underdark? His hand close to the sword strapped to his back, the seven-foot tall cloaked and hooded figure approached the door, pausing for a moment to listen to activities behind the door. When nothing in particular disturbed his senses, the mysterious figure opened the door, stepping inside, and looking around as he let the door shut behind him. It seemed as though this were a familiar place, and he seemed to recognize...some of these people. Yet, he had no recollection of coming here... He looked to the boy behind the counter, scrutinizingly analyzing him. Walking up to the bar and the boy, then, his low, bass-toned voice reached Chris' ears. "I seek a pair of drow; have you seen two suspicious looking ones pass through here not more than a half a day past?" |
| Illuminadus02-21-05, 05:25 PM | (( Ignore this if you are Psionic-resistent, or if you have the ability, decline to accept the message.)) A whispering wind floods into the mind of all in the area, calm and collected. The whisper slowly magnifies, until it reaches a cold, calculated voice. "I am looking for a man, a Zenythri to be exact, that passed through here possibly one to two years ago. His name is Larinthiose. You would remember him if you saw him; silver skin, metallic hair and eyes. He could have possibly been carrying two silver rapiers. He was chasing a man, a rogue by the name of Naiilo. Do you have any information?" A scent of malice, a feeling of vengeful anger, is entwined in the words, so strong it could cause the heart to skip a beat. The half-elf sitting at the table then turns his head towards the Githerzai, and a twitch flips the corner of his mouth up, but then just like that, it disappears again. His all white eyes seem to fading in and out with silver specks, like as if in water. "We are in the underdark, drow are a plenty, you have not but the pick and choose." The telepathic connection then closes, and the half-elf's eyes fade again into pure white as he sets his hands upon the smooth table, waiting.... |
| Arcuna02-21-05, 05:59 PM | Jake remains silent (but he heard the message), but Heimosu telepathically responds. <I vaguely remember him. He was somewhat bulky, and as I recall he seemed to have a rather private agenda. He was here roughly a year ago, soon before the Inn was shut down due to the feldriow problem. Unfortunately, it was also around the time that I was located by my freind here, and my memory of that time period is rather hazy. But you have my word that if I uncover any information about his whereabouts, I will let you know.> As soon as Heimosu finishes his response, he asks Chris, I'm curious. Have you come in contact with Malik or Legion since they were last here? I've had a rather difficult time tracking them. And what about Vent? Jake asks. He and I have some unfinished business we need to take care of. |
| Illuminadus02-21-05, 08:41 PM | The half-elf nods to Heimosu and his eyes again shift into a silver-white, murky texture. You have my gratitude, my father and I have something very important to discuss. I am Illuminadus Alcadius Demarko Delavoi, son to an Elf and Zenythri. You may call me Illum. Illum sent the message to all in the vicinity, and a slight frown forms upon his smooth features. For being in the Underdark, I suppose this tavern doesn't have the usual income, but it does seem oddly...quiet this day, does it not? Of course, everything is quiet to one who is deaf, blind and mute, alas the penalties for such a conception of opposite races from opposite planes. |
| Arcuna02-21-05, 08:46 PM | This Inn may not get as many bar fights as most taverns, but I can assure you that when things do get rough in here, it tends to be quite a spectacular show. Heimosu says. Jake smiles and nods in agreement. |
| Lord Tarran02-22-05, 11:47 AM | Christopher smiles as his friends enter the inn, as well as taking notice of the githzerai, and the psion. Christopher responds to Heimosu and Jake. No, I haven't yet heard from our old friends. I saw Malik once when I was visiting with my aunt. He was in no trouble at the time, seemed to merely be passing through the goddess's palace. Seems to have freed himself from the Abyss. Vent, I haven't seen since he departed, nor have I seen Miror. I did run into an old friend however... but she'll come down later. There is an unusual sparkle in the innkeeper's eye. He turns to the githzerai, shaking his head. Do you ever rest Mazithra? The two drow you seek have not past through this area yet, if they are to at all. I suggest you rest for a day, and then take up the hunt again tommorrow. Christopher moves back to behind the bar, but turns his mind to the psion. Welcome Illuminadus. I am glad to see another creature of the Mind here. But sir, please rest your mind guards while here. This building was ensorcelled to allow those like us to rest our weary heads. I merely was prying for a name, and a name alone. Had I the wish to discover your feelings and thoughts, I would. So please, relax here. As long as you are within these walls you are safe. No matter what beast of the mind hunts thee. |
| Illuminadus02-22-05, 02:04 PM | The psion nods to Christopher, dropping his mental barriers and visibly relaxing. But his mind again reaches out to the bartender. I understand, yet saying my name and safe together is oximoranic, and should not happen again. You do not know the beasts that hunt me, or what I hunt in return. There are things happening this night, things you nor I can control, no matter how strong our mental prowess. There are more dangerous things out this night than Drow. Safe is a state of being for the weak, the fools that believe themselves clustered in a life of recieving. I would hope that one such as you, in the location you are in, would understand this. But where are my manners, no? Could I get a drink, and possibly a room for this "safe" night? |
| Arcuna02-22-05, 06:10 PM | Unusual friend? Jake asks curiously. Heimosu turns to Chris and smiles. I think I know who he's talking about. |
| Lord Tarran02-22-05, 09:40 PM | Christopher silently poured <whatever he sees within Luminadus's thoughts as what he wants>, and sends it careening towards the man down the smooth marble counter. A key to a room follows shortly. I understand what you mean about safety, Illuminadus, but your name and safety, as long as you remain in this inn, are not oxymoronic. I have... friends and family, as well as many... ways to prevent anything unexpected to happen with my home. However, his face does not bely his thoughts as he smiles to Heimosu, his face somewhat shy. I ran into her outside of the temple of Selune in Shadowdale. It took little convincing her to return, though I was quite suprised to find that her skills, powers, and ever her Change have grown in considerable power in two years. His light skin blushes slightly as he pours Heimosu and Jake whatever he reads as their wishes. So how fare you my friends? |
| dungeonman302-22-05, 09:54 PM | A gargoyle halfdragon wizard/assasin enters the building he wears a gloomy frown on his face. He weilds a giant flame burst hammer, the robe of arachnia, and the eyes of petrifacation, he looks around the building. two flesh golems enter "don't worry they won't hurt anyone here" the gargoyle says "are pets alowed?". |
| Arcuna02-22-05, 10:08 PM | Well, I haven't had any...accidents in a while, Heimosu says as he takes a drink of his <something along the lines of an Irish Cream, but obviously not by that name>. Jake convinced me to speak with his master, and after a long debate and discussion, I have agreed to train under Jake and Avernus. Avernus has greatly restricted my power so that I cannot transform or summon anything. But I still have enough power to materialize my swords and use them effectively. I haven't technically joined Lord Vox's forces, yet. Jake cuts in at this point, obviously a little unnerved by the public mention of his master's name. He's doing quite well, and has improved greatly. My Master intends to defeat this far-plane god, some way or another. That is part of the reason we are training Heimosu. Furthermore, we are yet to locate Miror, whose recovery is a much higher priority than that of Malik. We haven't given up the search yet. Far from it. Jake takes a sip of his drink, which is the same as Heimosu's. ((If any of your characters would find it strange to see an 11 year old drinking alcohol, then Jake is a strange individual in their eyes.)) In other news, this morningstar that Vent gave me when we last saw each other turned out to be cursed. However, it had enough benefits as well that I decided to keep it and simply extract the curse. Unfortunately, I have orders not to kill him, and I doubt I could do too much to hurt him regardless. Heimosu and Jake both look up at the newcomer. That guy's either rich, paranoid, or extremely lucky. Avernus telepathically (and lightheartedly) says from the depths of Heimosu's mind. |
| Lord Tarran02-22-05, 10:30 PM | ((dungeonman3, please write in complete sentences, with complete punctuation, as well as some way to diffretiate diffrent kinds of actions (speaking, moving, telepathy, etc.) Use descriptions and read my first post please. Tarran out.)) Please leave the golems outside sir, I don't wish to house creations of ignorance. You may stay, but the beasts may not within these walls. I care not if they be safe, I, on principle, cannot allow them to stay inside. I apologize. Chris turns back to Heimosu, Jake, and Avernus until <dungeonman3's character's name> sends the golems out. I'm glad to here that the portal is well contained, and that all other things go well. Though Oaknopf is still a problem. I haven't been able to track him since he and I first me, and [shutter] I have no wish to repeat the process. Any news for Sin? Daleah? Christopher turns his head slightly, hearing the first soft step down from his and her private rooms upstairs. He smiles, visibly showing his snakelike canines, and making no attempt to cover his emotions. ((I'm going to be up for about ten more minutes, and then off to bed for me. K?)) |
| Arcuna02-22-05, 10:37 PM | ((Yeah, I gotta go, too. :( Talk to you guys tomorrow.)) Sadly, no. After the fight, they picked up their things and left. Jake hears the footstep, as well. He turns to the stairway, and Heimosu does too. Heimosu couldn't wait to see how much stronger she had become. He also hoped that she has gained some well-deserved self esteem over the past year. He decides to remain passive until he can make a clear judgement. No need to risk reopening closed wounds. |
| Illuminadus02-22-05, 11:21 PM | Illuminadus drains his Dwarven Brew Strongstout (think Killians), then rises and walks toward the stairs. he stops and looks towards the bar, then shakes his head. His eyes take on the silver sheen, and the key he left lying on the bar rises and floats to his waiting palm. once the key reaches it's destination, Illum closes his hand and steps quietly up the stairs. Please, wake me if anything interesting happens this night. He telepathically says to all in attendance. He then closes his link to all but Christopher. Tomorrow we shall talk, I have some topics I would love greatly to discuss with you.. The blind, deaf, mute, half-Elf/half-Zenythri plane-bread Psion then steps on padded feet up the stairs, leaving not but a chill feeling to the nightly air. |
| Khaira02-23-05, 12:08 AM | Mazithra smirked and chuckled, adjusting the hefty great sword hanging at his back. He shrugged nonchalantly and shook his head. "Rest? Relax? This is not how things get accomplished, sir. Scum do not get disposed of by those who are idle. I prefer to get things done; such is my purpose." Looking around, Mazithra seemed to recognize a couple of the individuals. However, he couldn't seem to place a finger on how he had met them before. Unbothered by such trivial thoughts, the Githerzai strode up to the bar. "I'll take something strong, though, while I wait for the scum to come through." |
| Lord Tarran02-23-05, 06:55 PM | Mentally noting Illum's request, and sending a tall <whatever Mizithra wants>, Christopher looks unconcerned as his friend comes down the stairs. Nezumi has changed. Greatly. To the suprise of all those who had known her when she was first in the Darkhole, her old air of sadness and insecurity seems gone, though only in degrees. She does not radiate confidence or happiness, but she seems quite secure in her own skin. And what a skin to be secure in. Her skin, once pale and frightened, now has a distinct broze like glow, a warm glow. Her brown hair, still long, now shines. Her body, which two years ago was a frightened shell of a mid-pubescent female. Now she shone as a beautiful young adult. But her eyes, her beautiful eyes. Years before they had been pale yellow, much the way a young snake's are. At this moment in time, they were golden, sapphire slits splitting the shining orbs. And they trapped the hearts of those present in their beauty. Christopher moves slowly to stand beside his dear, walking alongside her as they go back to behind the counter. He merely smiles, very happy with both himself and her prescence. She speaks, no longer timid, but still innocent and warm. Hello Heimosu. Do you remember little ol' Nezumi? ((Note: Nezumi is not a character of my creation, but of an old friend of Arcuna and me named Exiled_Beauty or later Jaded_ Garnet. I took the original character idea, and advanced her two years in time. I will not as of yet reveal her capabilities. Also Exbe or Jade, or whoever you return as. If you wish to retake control of Nezumi, just tell me, if you're there.)) |
| Arcuna02-23-05, 08:03 PM | Of course, I remember you. Heimosu says, smiling. But look how much you've grown! It's amazing to see how much you've changed in just one year. How have you been doing? Jake thinks to himself, So, this is the Nezumi I've heard so much about... |
| Illuminadus02-23-05, 08:08 PM | Illuminadus steps softly down the stairs, the wood creaking slightly as he steps onto the floor. He has changed, his magnificient white robe replaced with a simple wool shirt and traveling vest, faded brown from apparent use. Light brown pants tucked into soft leather boots showed comfortability over presentability. His beautiful white hair was pulled back into a pony-tail, and a single earring, a chain with a small pearl attached to it's end, hung from the top-middle of his left ear. A simple dagger was strapped to his traveling belt, along with the pouches normally there. Whose the beauty? Illum asked of Christopher as he strode to the bar. He thens looks around at all in the bar and asks Who here knows of the Drow outpost by the name of Zer'riak'olist? It is said to be not but a few week's walk from here. ((By the way, from now on Dark Red is the color of single-telepathic messages, Dark Orange the color of 2 or more people.)) |
| Lord Tarran02-23-05, 08:48 PM | ((Note the different texts for telepathy. That becomes important.)) The beauty is my love, my dear, Nezumi. She is a kindred spirit to me, and a follower of my goddess. Christopher responded without looking up from a glass he was polishing. Nezumi smiled. Christopher and I are courting at the moment, and though he has yet to say so aloud, he wishes to marry me. Her telepathy echoed in Illum's head. She and Christopher exchanged looks as she spoke to Heimosu and Jake, I've been well, Heimosu. I spent some time after I left the inn wondering around the world above. While in the sun, I met some clerics of Selune interested in helping me, and through Her direct aid, they were able to teach me the level of control that Christopher has over his forms, hence the reason my eyes are like his, but reflecting my own self. I trained along side those clerics in the arts of the divine, as well as privately honing my mind arts. She smiles sweetly at Christoper, as he looks slightly sullen. I've nearly honed my mind to equal Christophers in two years. He isn't really happy that I had it so easy. But my original potential that he helped unlocked threw me quite a bit forward. He clears his throat before saying, I still have a few tricks she doesn't though. They... purr as they cuddle closer for a second. She asks Well, I'd ask how you are Heimosu, but Christopher already relayed the info. What are your plans? |
| Arcuna02-23-05, 09:28 PM | As of yesterday, we have decided to take a short break to stop by and see how things were doing here. We are considering staying longer than we had initially planned, though. As far as Oaknopf is concerned, we honestly don't know. We are trying to enlist all the help we can, but killing a greater diety is no small feat. Jake's Master (Heimosu nods apologetically to Jake) doesn't believe He is powerful enough to take Oaknopf on. Among other things, He is trying to learn everything He can about Oaknopf so as to be better prepared for him, or anything he may attempt. But, with an extra soul living inside of me and defending me, I don't think I have to worry too much, at least for now. Jake telepathically asks Chris and Nezumi (going to great lengths to make sure only they can sense it), <I am aware of the fact that the two of you have direct ties with Selune. We have been praying for her assistance in this matter for a while now, but she is yet to respond. Forgive me for asking so casually, but do you think it would be possible for one of us to directly discuss the matter with her? I'll understand if that is out of the question.> |
| god the giant02-24-05, 04:17 PM | God the gaint, with extreme difficulty enters and just smiles. God is a huge giant fighter. The giant looks around the room and just stands there like he wants someone to say something to him. The giant has a foul odor,it seems he hasn't bathed in months yet it doesn't seem to bother him. He wears armor that he MUST have made him self since it looks like God just threw a dead piece of hide on his back. Besides the hide armor all he carrys is an axe and a smile. The only odd thing is the axe glows and you can tell by the blood stains that God has been in more then a few fights. |
| Lord Tarran02-24-05, 04:38 PM | Christopher and Nezumi exchange glances as the large man enters the inn. Christopher bows his head softly, going over to speak to the giant. Hello God! Nice to meet you. My name is Christopher, and I am the owner of this inn. The woman behind the counter is my friend Nezumi. The man standing there in blue is Heimosu, the smaller one in red is Jake. You are welcome to whatever you wish to have from the bar, but I must ask you a favor first. Outside, around the corner, is a small pool. Nezumi and I, as well as the other guests, would greatly appreciate if you could go bathe and then re-enter the inn. During these moments that Christopher speaks kindly and slowly to the big fellow, Nezumi responds a loud to Jake's inquiry. Christopher's mother has been out of touch with us since the inn has reopened. Though she still grants me my powers, and Christopher knows she is well, she has not reached out to us in a great while. Neither of us can reach her at the moment, honestly, because she sealed herself for a time away. We'll see if we can reach her later, but at the moment, no. Mind, what god should I tell her is calling if we get in touch? |
| Illuminadus02-24-05, 05:32 PM | Illum smiles to himself as he listens to the conversation. It is never simple when God's enter the forray, yet it is much more interesting, I must admit. He then looks pointedly at Jake and asks What God is it you seek? I have.....capabilities when it comes to Planes travelling, call a gift of being planr-born, and I may be able to see to your needs. |
| Arcuna02-24-05, 06:22 PM | Jake stops for a second. He is obviously uncomfortable about answering this question. Telepathically and privaely, he responds, <He is not technically a god, but for our intents and purposes, He is close enough. I feel I can trust you with this information. In mortal tongues, we usually refer to Him as Vox, or sometimes, "The Absolute". Normally, I would ask you to use His name sparingly, but considering how close you two are to Selune, I don't feel it would be as necessary. Of course, a god, namely Selune, would obviously not be held to this standard either.> Jake then turns to Illum, and says, We seek the goddess Selune. If there is anything any of you could do, or have us do to help you find her, we would be very grateful. |
| god the giant02-24-05, 06:30 PM | "God would do you this smell fevor and bath, but ther is big problem God no know how. All God know how to do is crush enemies and dinner. This is all that was taught to God. I would like to help you do thing you want to do if God you let help. I may be powerful warrior but please do not fear me, only time to do that is when im hungry like right now." once again God stands around waiting to be talked to and just smiles. Its kinda creepy that all he does is fight and smile. MAYBE HES NUTS!!! |
| Arcuna02-24-05, 06:59 PM | Heimosu stands up and walks toward God. Hello, God. My name is Heimosu. Allow me to assist you. This might feel a little strange. Just keep your eyes on me. Heimsou stops when he is roughly three feet away from God. He then looks him in the eye. God suddenly feels as if someone had just poked his brain gently with a stick. It doesn't hurt, but Heimosu was certainly right about it feeling strange. He suddenly realizes that he understands the concept of bathing. That's a little trick I learned from a friend. As Chris said, there is a small pool outside and around the corner that you may use to bathe in. If you need anything, just holler. ((Little does Heimosu realize that God will probably take that last part literally. :P )) |
| Lord Tarran02-24-05, 07:10 PM | ((Just a note. I'll be starting an OOC thread for all this OOC chatter. Also, God's player is a buddy of mine, and I warn in advance that God the Giant, though very good at heart, is...well... a little bit special. Or, more precisely LOCO CRAZY MAD WOMBATS NUTS AND :looloo:. You have been warned. And welcome aboard Mick.)) |
| Lord Tarran02-24-05, 07:15 PM | Nezumi notes the name with a nod, as Christopher returns to her side. They exchange glances, obviously sharing the recently passing events, before Christopher looks at Jake. I will speak to Mother about this, if I can get through. I'll try my brother if I can't talk to her, and he will be able to. Also, since Oaknopf is a chaos realm god, my mother's sister may be of use to Vox. I would contact her through other means. Aunt Shar is not one I wish to deal with. Christopher and Nezumi spend a moment telekinetically refilling everyone's drinks. A light goes off in Christopher's head, as his voice echoes in Illum's head, and only his. Illuminadus, I thought of something that may be able to give you your hearing and sight. Are you interested? |
| god the giant02-24-05, 07:46 PM | "well since i know now how to i go bath for you now. God not wish know how to bath. God like smeel manly. so now,can God go and kill something?" God starts singing- "walking through the snow, cold feeling on my toes, crushgoblin foes, then i pick my nose." suddenly God stands up " i forgot, (big surprise) I must defeat my evil rival the TICKLER. This is a man who goes in to your window and tickle your feat. It gets worse...zzzzzzzzzzz,cough,sorry,oh yeah he then steal your canned pickles. This big problem because hill giants love canned pickles." Ok if anyone wasnt sure it official God belongs in a straight jacket!!!Well maybe he just needs his nap. someone get him a bottle and blanket. This is the most random character on earth. |
| Illuminadus02-24-05, 09:55 PM | Illum stares intently at Christopher. There is no question his eyes are focused, although his gaze is pupiless. For a long while he only stares, then shakes his head slowly from side to side, a heavy weight seemingly landing upon his shoulders. his white eyes begin to swirl with silver and as he responds, Although the answer to such an offer should be easy, I cannot but decline your offer. You see, living my life as I have, I have become attuned to the things normally unseen. ...My mind picks up psionic resonance with surfaces, images blossom within my mind that are more prestine than that of a hawk's vision. I am blind, but yet I see. I am deaf, but yet my mind picks of the traces of sounds that echo within everyones mind. I am trully sorry, but I cannot change something that is myself, or I am everything but myself. He then turns and looks at Jake, I need my fresh air now, a hint of pain resonates in his tone as his telepathic message is sent, I will traverse the Planes, contact a few men....and other such......creatures.......who owe me favors, I will return within the day upon this Material Plane. With that a nimbus of white clouds resonates from Illuminadus, and he disperses without a trace of what was left. If you were to check his room, all his belongings would be gone as well. |
| Khaira02-25-05, 01:40 PM | As Mazithra take a long draught of the Drow Bite Drink, he leaned back and looked at the crowd; there were certainly quite a few people already gathering here. He wished the drow would come through so he could capture them and move on already. Moving to a corner table, no emotion or so much as a sign of life portrayed on his seemingly apathetic table, the Githerzai Warrior sat down, and took his gigantic, rune-inscribed great sword, constructed from his home of Limbo itself from the sheath on his back, and began to methodically run it across a whetstone. At the same time, his eyes remained locked upon the door in perpetual silence, his whole body, face and mind as readable as the face of a rock itself, at least to the average, run-of-the-mill patrons. But then again, one couldn't exactly classify these denizens as average, run-of-the mill people... |
| Arcuna02-25-05, 06:54 PM | ((Sorry I did not post sooner; homework and such has been holding me prisoner... :( )) That would be wonderful! I could see if my Master would be willing to attempt to contact her. Would you like me to do so? Heimosu sits back down at the bar and privately says to Chris and Nezumi, <In case Jake hasn't already said this, his Master has already tried to contact Selune. I get the feeling that she has some pretty important things she needs to take care of; otherwise she would have at least declined our request. Has she mentioned anything to either of you?> ((Just for my own ease, I'm going to stop saying when things are telepathic and when they arent. If someone's speech has < and > around it, then it's telepathic. Otherwise, it's public. And just so everyone knows, blue text is Heimosu's speech, red is Jake's and green is Avernus's.)) |
| Illuminadus02-27-05, 12:11 PM | A man strides into the tavern, his footsteps accompanied by the tapping of his black polished, entricately carved cane. The cane, perhaps three to four feet in length, was carved in an arcane, gold motif and was topped with a gold dragon's head as it's handle. The man wore a black, silk cape with no hood that hung to an inch above the ground. His black shirt, a rich velvet texture, was un buttoned to show a part of his chest. He wore tight fitted black leather pants that covered the neck of his black boots. His hair was a deep black color, cut short save for a single length of bangs that hung down over his right eye, almost to his chin. His eyes were a devilish, blood-red color. His skin was a rich, brown hue. No weapon is visible. As the man strides to the bar, the cane, seemingly by itself, slides into the mans sleeve, but no hint of the item is visible through the material. It just disappeared. Greetings, Christopher, I am Count Galtrude of Mercenia, although you most probably already knew this. I have been summoned by a friend to this fine establishment of the Dark exterior. Perhaps I could ask of you a chilled glass of wine-Red Vine Blood a favorite of mine- while I await my unusual friend's return. As he talks, glints of white canine teeth can be seen poking beyond the normal length of a tooth. And then the man smiles a ghastly yet wholly handsome smile, and there is no more question. This man is a vampire. |
| Lord Tarran02-27-05, 05:42 PM | Christopher pours the glass without fear, handing it to the vampire without changing his attitude. His voice is unchanged as he speaks to the vampire. Welcome Galtrude. A friend of Illuminadus is a friend of mine. Just please, don't bite anyone. If you are in need of real blood, I have a store ready for my sun disinclined guests. While he speaks, Nezumi speaks to Jake and Heimosu. She is speaking, but in her words she is hiding her thought speech entering the males' heads. Selune has not spoken to us as well. Both Christopher and I got the feeling that his mother was involved in something much greater than us, but neither of us have an idea what it would be. Christopher has spoken to several of his mother's friends and servants over the past few weeks, and no one is really aware of what's going on. He said something about talking to a mage named Midnight. Christopher said she would be the one person who without a doubt would be able to find Selune, but as far as I know, he hasn't spoken to this woman yet. On Shar, Jake, Christopher is telling me that at the moment the best way to get in contact with her is entering a place known as the Shadow wheel or something. He says there's a portal somewhere in Calimsham that Vox should be able to trace back to the Shadow... Nexus, that was it. Someone there should be able to get Vox in touch with Lady Shar. Warn Vox however, that Shar one of this world's greatest gods, among evil her only rival is Bane. |
| god the giant02-27-05, 07:36 PM | well god has not seen a vampire in very long, actually you are the first. since there is real blood for you to drink if need you i with you will drink. blood is an aquired taste that god has. by the way has anyone seen my canned pickles? im hungry and cant find them. OH MY GOD maybe i let the tickler slip right paste me. |
| Arcuna02-27-05, 08:04 PM | <Thank you very much,> He thinks to Nezumi, very grateful for the information. <I will relay this information to Him immediately and ask what, if anything, He wants us to do in the meantime. It is getting late and I am getting kinda tired, so I'll be going straight to sleep afterward.> Good night, all. Jake says as he places enough gold pieces down on the table to pay for his drink and a room for one night. He goes upstairs and you all hear a door open and close. (Those of you who can sense magical/psionic auras can feel a large amount of mana being drawn into his room.) He may not be a kid, but he sure sleeps like one. Heimosu laughs. He takes another drink of his [whatever you want to call it]. |
| god the giant02-28-05, 08:12 PM | sleep sound like good idea to God. by the time i wake in morning we should mobilize and head for battle. and if the tickler happens to stop by,first hide the canned pickles then come wake me so i can wid the univarse of his evil tickling and pickle stealing. with out another word God throws enough gold to pay for a room and a bed on the table. wierd he pays for a bed, then a loud thud and you realize why. God opens the door "sorry golds on the table, ouch have to pick splinters out my backside". |
| Illuminadus03-01-05, 10:05 PM | Before God returns to his room the vampire flashes a ghastly grin to God. Ah, finally a being that is not clouded by the right and wrong of un-pressed morality. It seems the drinking of blood is not sensible to the minds of the common populace. I would gladly share blood with thee. he then turns to Chris and nods his acceptance of blood, holding two fingers to signal for two shares. He winks at Chris as he says, Do not fear my vulnerability to sunlight, for I have none. I have transcended the ranks of vampire.I am a Lifedrinker now. Blood...well.....let's call that a personal taste. At that time Illuminadus returns. His faced has turned extremely pale, and his demeanor seems just as bad. He nods towards Galtrude then opens his mind and reaches out for Christopher. He makes very sure only Chris can perceive his thoughts. We have problems. Selune has been......busy. It seems Asmodeus, Lord of Hell, is going to begin a campaign upon the Material Plane. He has agents already active here. From what I could gather, two stand above the rest as his most favored, Glasya and Martinet. Selune, for what I could learn, is trying to learn more of what he is planning, but it seems to directly involve the Drow race. Makes sense, for Glasya is a Matron Mother to a House in the city of Na'ikish'letia, a city which I have found to be not far from here. Asmodeus has given full authority to Mephistopheles to continue the campaign against the demons in The Blood War. Never has the Devils worked so cohesively together. Never have they planned a war of this magnitude. It seems Glasya is the primary means of communication with Asmodeus and the Material Plane. Illuminadus's eyes glare brightly with violent silver color as he sends the last part: We kill Glasya, we kill the connection with Asmodeus.....for the present time at least. From what I could gather from my more....trusted acquantances....there is a certain place where more information on the matter could be gathered. I was not able to contact Selune herself, but my agents elluded to something that dealt witha place that dealt with Shadows and a gate called Nexus. I have heard of such a place in my home plane, but never have I heard it confirmed as anything more than a myth. Illuminadus then sits heavily at a table nearby, Galtrude following suite as he waves God to join them. Galtrude leans in closely to Illum and a connection establishes between them, but there are more defensive barriers to guard the message than a Illithid could conjure. |
| god the giant03-02-05, 03:29 PM | with out a thought God goes and joins them "cristoper can God have glass of blood it will keep me awake for a while and i think we should start plans for battle.my axe could really use a fight, i have not had one in hours and go i stu crasy. God has a feeling that we will be in danger very soon, and for the first time in life God afraid he not strong enough to kill enemy. i no want it my fault someone else die, could not live with that over my haed." |
| Arcuna03-03-05, 07:38 PM | Heimosu sits down next to God. If you don't mind me asking, who exactly do you intend to go to battle with? |
| god the giant03-04-05, 03:39 PM | well evil is always out there for me to kill. i could find something to kill and no doubt it would be evil. i want to vanquish evil and make the world safe. but the biggest reason my brother killed by evil and the rest of my famliy i look for revenge. |
| Arcuna03-04-05, 05:56 PM | Heimosu nods. It is apparent that he has something on his mind. He even looks a little worried. You said your brother was killed by "evil". What exactly do you mean? |
| god the giant03-04-05, 06:49 PM | i mean evil as in the killer of good. i would like to ask all a question, if your brother and family was killed by evil would you not take action to see family killer taken down? even though i may have killed evil that did not kill my brother and family i feel all the evil i kill brings me closer to the destroyer of my family. |
| Arcuna03-04-05, 06:56 PM | I agree with that, to an extent. Can you please describe to us what the family killer was like? Besides the fact that the person was evil, I mean. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-04-05, 10:31 PM | As the tavern door opens, a few people turn to see who's coming in. Seeing nothing, they return to their drinks. But, right on the counter, a small, lizardlike creature has settled itself down. It looks a bit silly, clad in a lilac, colored cloak with the picture of a book on it. It turns its head to two people, deep in converstaion. A voice pops up in both of them. "Sorry, not to inturrupt, but your talk sounded interesting, and I couldn't help overhearing. If you're wondering, my name's Kito Liadon, Psuedodragon of the Jester. What's yours?" |
| Arcuna03-04-05, 10:43 PM | Slightly annoyed, but glad to see a new face, Heimosu says, My name is Heimosu Steiner. Pleased to meet you. ((Welcome to the Darkhole. :) )) |
| Lord Tarran03-05-05, 01:49 AM | Nezumi remains at the bar as Christopher takes a dram of blood over to his vampiric guest, and his like minded telepath. Quickly, he fills Gertrude in, before speaking aloud. Illum, if what you say is true, my mother is not gathering information, but preparing her forces. I should have seen it earlier, but I've been distracted. I wouldn't worry for the safety of this inn, Illum. A grandson of Bahamut enchanted the building since I last had the inn open to prevent any major sieges again. No one short of Lord Bane would be able to break the barrier, and he better have slain me first, or there is more than a few gods and their legions who would like a word with him. Christopher and Nezumi trade looks, as he nods in submission. He announces, getting everyone's attention, both mentally and physically: Attention everyone! I should inform all of you that this inn, over the last year, has recieved more than a few enhancements. These include a nearly impenetrable defensive shield, that will remain so as long as either Nezumi or I are alive. However, included in the deal I made with the gods for making this inn a safe haven, was to allow it to be a beacon. Illum confirmed my fears, and Nezumi just checked, but Asmodeus is temporarily taking his sights off of the Abyss, turning to this world. He plans to use a nearby Drow city as his base of operations on Toril. The gods, most likely aware, or because this building is a beacon, are about to be aware, of this. This means quite simply, the gods and their armies are going to make this inn their base. Now, I know there are those of you who the gods, mostly the good guys, who have either problems with you, or you with them. If you remain, I can't guaretee your safety. If need be, I have a cousin in Menzobarranzan, who runs an inn similar to mine, who will be running the darker side of this war. I suggest all interested in heading to that inn talk to me. I can send you directly there. ((Mick: Please man, write in a way similar to the rest of us. I can't read what you're saying well, and I know you personally. Please dude? Everyone else, just a note that I want here, not in the OOC: With the mention of the second inn, sometime tommorrow night I plan to start a second inn, but this one shall be decidely more evil, being in the heart of the drow city. I'll see what the interest here is, but I plan to start it for sure. I'll post the name tommorrow.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-05-05, 10:23 AM | Remind me again how you're treating this so calmly? This tiny inn is going to be the base for a divine war? Believe me, I am not setting one claw in that drow city! Kito sighs, and slowly sips from a small cup. When he feels calm again, he speaks. So, when you say gods will use this place as a base of operations, which gods do you mean exacty? |
| god the giant03-05-05, 10:24 AM | the killer was a minotaur. he was flinching like he was going nuts as he fought. i have no idea why he would want to kill my family or why he left me alive. i have a small poblem,im not i faver of any of the gods.no matter i willstay and do what can i. |
| Arcuna03-05-05, 10:51 AM | After Chris finishes his message, the mana flow into Jake's room temporarily increases, and then disperses. He walks down monents later, and sits next to Heimosu. A large, colerful orb with what looks like a comet tail (if you've played FFX or FFX2 then it looks like a pyrefly) floats out of Heimosu's body as if it had been there the whole time. Telepathically, the orb named Avernus says, <I had better leave for a while. I will return once I know who all will be staying here. Heimosu, will you be okay without me?> Yeah, Heimosu responds. I promise I'll only fight if I aboslutely have to. Wait, Jake says. Why don't you head for the other inn and see if you can determine if Oaknopf will be showing up or not? <Sounds good. I'll keep in touch as best I can. Chris, would be so kind as to transport me there?> Heimosu turns back to his conversation with God. A minotaur? When I was younger, I got into a nasty fight with one. He barely escaped, but since it was mostly my fault the fight happened in the first place, I let him go. Of course, the chances are slim that we are talking about the same one, but we could try and divine your target's location. Do you know the minotaur's gender, or any physical traits that would make him/her stand out, to an extent, in a crowd of minotaurs? |
| Lord Tarran03-05-05, 12:48 PM | Remind me again how you're treating this so calmly? This tiny inn is going to be the base for a divine war? Believe me, I am not setting one claw in that drow city! Kito sighs, and slowly sips from a small cup. When he feels calm again, he speaks. So, when you say gods will use this place as a base of operations, which gods do you mean exacty? Nezumi turns to the young pseudodragon, refilling the cup with <whatever Kito wants, she knows>. She glances over to Christopher, still talking to Illum and Gertrude. Both their eyes flare with light, before Nezumi turns back to Kito to speak. Her voice is not her own, but Christopher's, as he explains calmly: I am quite used to the idea of divine war based around my home, and divinity in general. Hello, young Kito, my name is Christopher Selunson, and the body you are looking at is the love of my life, Nezumi. I, as my name implies, am the son of the goddess Selun. I am a cleric, a Chosen, and a champion of my mother. Her friends, who hapen to be my aunts, uncles, god parents, cousins, etcetera, will those here, as well as the gods I have built up personal relationships with over the years. My mother most likely will wish to work from her temple east of Menzobarrazan, instead of here. Her forces, though good, are not in the greatest favor with many of the gods that I host. I suspect that if Sune decides to join, it will be here that she will make her holding, but the whims of a passion goddes are hard to predict. The elf gods will most likely stay above ground for this, in prepartion if we fail to contain Asmodeus down here, as well as to combat the forces above. Liira will come here, with whatever forces she has, and Eilistraee will come here, simply because she is unwelcome in the drow city. Lathandaer is going to stay above ground, sun loving moron. Chauntea will bring to bear here. As will Helm, Torm, and Tyr, and Kelemvor. Ilmater will come, but it will take some convincing on my part. Mielikki will come here, or my mother's temple. Oghma will come alone, for there are things that need discussion before he will be willing to put his worshippers at risk. Tempus should be here before the week ends. And Cousin Tymora will come if I ask. Denier will come with Oghma, Eldath with Mielikki, Finder will go to my mother. My friend Gargauth will come to me, he hates my cousin and Asmodeus. Gwaeron will come with Mieikki, as will Lurue. Milil will come iwith Oghma, Nobanion will come by my call. Red Knight will come with Tempuis, Sharess will come if Sune steps in. Shialla with Miellikki, and my friend Bahamut. I have no predictions for the gnome, halfling, dwarf, and Mulhorandi gods. ((See: Darkhole Inn GOd List for the coming war.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-05-05, 01:51 PM | Ah, I see. Well, I actually think that Kelemvor might be a bit above this. He may be a death god, but he favors natural death. Maybe if the opposition brings undead or something, he'll come (And probably with Jergal). Waukeen might take a role here, war is profit, after all. And if Bahamut will come, some other dragons will be here. Lendys is certain, hebrings justice wherever he goes. Tamara might come, most likely to heal. Garyx the Firelord will be against us, for his sheer love of destruction Knowing that, I can pinpoint our enemies. Shar will kill any follower of Selune, let alone her son. Tiamat is Bahamut's enmy, so she'll leap at the oppotunity. Lolth will obviously war, for this is the Underdark. If Asmodeus if fighting, I suspect he'll 'persuade' some of his 'friends' to join him. Can you think of anyone else? |
| Lord Tarran03-05-05, 02:12 PM | Kito, my young firend, I think you fail to understand the situation. The Lord of the Ninth, the King of Hell, Asmodeus, is coming to this realm to conquer it. The gods are more than willing to put aside their differences in order to stop him. I know Kelemvor, personally, and he will be here. Asmodeus is overstepping his bounds. The deal is that evil souls will go to the Hells if that is where they are meant to go, and there is to be no active role for Asmodeus on this plane to bring death. Kelemvor will be here, I can guarentee. Bahamut will bring whomever he pleases for his armies, for this is war, and the other gods you speak of I do not know. And worry not about my Aunt Shar. She and I have an agreement. Christopher's voice says through Nezumi. Nezumi comes back to her sense, obviously not mifferd about Christopher's use of her voice box as she turns to Avernus, and sepaks in her own voice, Avernus, I can send you to the Blackgate Inn. Be warned however, it is not the happy place that this is. Watch you back. She casts a seemingly simple spell, that makes Avernus aware that he just needs to say 'blackgate' and be at the other inn. ((Taeldrin, check the thread I'm about to make about the gods and where they'll be. PM me with any gods you think should be somewhere, but give me the info on them as well so I can make the decision.)) |
| god the giant03-05-05, 06:45 PM | " the minotaur was male, had hair that was red and a cross shaped scar on his face. he kept saying something about a revolution, what ever that is. all i can remember besides that is me hitting him with my axe, a perfect shot, then he laughed smacked me with his hand and i was knocked out." God starts to cry a little. |
| Illuminadus03-07-05, 10:08 PM | Geltrude flashes a smile at god. Do not weep, child, I have been un-wittingly knocked out plenty of times before. Sometimes I believe more than what was naturally required. Yet look at me now, hard as steel and feeling just as well. All that beating will do you good. That last comment bring a faint, if forced, smile to Illuminadus's lips. Then he mentally reaches out to the pseudodragon. The Death God will be pleased with this war, if only to stock his houses with more residents. Ever the goals of a God is to keep intact his or her influence in this world, whether through good deeds, vile acts, or pledged neutrality in the outcome of a war such as this. But fret not, for the Death God shall be present; Geltrude can confirm this, he was just within the company of the God not but a tenday ago... Geltrude frowns towards Illum Where is thy diplomacy, Illuminadus of the Planes. Alas, it is true, and I shall vouch for the God. He expressed unsual.....interest.....in the outcome of this campaign. Whether his acts shall be for good or evil, however, are unclear to my eyes. Yes, true he is the God of Death, but Death itself is not evil, it is only.....natural. Of course, for men like me, Death holds a grudge, consider it can't clasp it's filthy claws around my soul. Yet the God and I are, what you could call, friends. He is astounded in the ways I have eluded his grasp for these past millenia. Ahhh......the old times..... His voice trails off as he sips on his cup of blood, a glossy sheen in his eyes. Clearly his mind is in different times. |
| Arcuna03-07-05, 10:30 PM | I can't blame you for feeling bad. But, once this war is over, I would be willing to help you find him, if you like. Jake sits down in the chair closest to Chris. He gets out his morningstar and begins to examine it. Without looking up, he quietly asks, How much time do you think we will have before the fight breaks out? |
| Lord Tarran03-07-05, 10:55 PM | Very little time unfortunately. Don't worry though, the fighting will never reach this cave. I doubt it get much farther than a mile around the city from which Asmodeus is based. Christopher says as Nezumi goes with a very large handkerchief to God. There, there God. No reason to cry now. Keep on a happy face, and Christoper and I will help you find that mean ol' minotaur. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-08-05, 09:56 AM | Kito starts wincinga bit, and is constantly flinching. He flies over to Christopher. You don't suppose you could contact your brother? If you could, tell him to stop treating my friend like dirt. He WILL use his abilities if he has to. Kito calms down and returns to a table. He sits in front of a window, looking out. He quickly speaks. Just watching for the gods. |
| Lord Tarran03-08-05, 03:54 PM | I have no control over my cousin John, Kito. If your master is having trouble with John and Ele there is nothing I can do. I run my inn, he runs his, and we purposefully don't mingle in any way when in comes to management of our turf. We only speak when there are multiversal concerns, or when there are simply problems that family need to take care of. Though, if I were you, I would greatly discourage the use of power against my cousin. Or more correctly, not to use any force against Eletia. I don't care if your master is Lord Ao, my cousin's ward will defeat them. The best way to deal with Ele is to appease her in some way, for she will try to take what she wants if it is not given. Christopher reads from Kito's mind the events unfolding at the Black Gate. I hope that you can survive without your master Kito, or hope that he has someway out of the building before Eletia grounds him into the dirt. ((Taeldrin, I need you to understand, and everyone else too, that the Black Gate and the Darkhole's only connection is that John and Chris are cousins. It ends there. Events in the separate inns will only effect each other in the way that some people may have characters in both places, possibly connected characters, but please leave Black Gate affairs and Darkhole affairs separate unless I specify otherwise.)) |
| god the giant03-08-05, 05:04 PM | God blows his nose." thank you, but this war come first.im ready. let the evil come and i will defend everyone and thing to my ability. " another wierd vioce is heard,"stop crying ya big lug,. we'll help with this war then track down that killer. im sorry i was a sleep, i am blood thirst the axe. now God these are people that will lead us to alot of killing good choice. im going back to sleep wake me in an emergency. oh yeah nice to meet you all, hey look a vampire hahaha!" |
| god the giant03-08-05, 08:12 PM | "stupid axe if you werent the last thing my father give me i would have thrown you away years ago.cant take no more need to fight. if you need a will use my ranged fightering ability and it will bring doom apon the enemy. Geltrude you say you knocked out many times and that it is all right, but it is not for me. since that day i only knocked out once and cause of that orc king kill Gods wife so it will never happen again. no need to help me find orc king i killed him and hundreds of orcs for revenge. now i do have question nezumi why you call him mean old minotuar? christoper you think we have little time so that mean that God get to fight now. i will fight with all my honor and no inoscent people will die under my watch." (LT!come on need to fight.please???) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-08-05, 08:38 PM | (Ah, gotcha) Well, here's hoping Taeldrin can find his way out of this mess. You know, he might be a goodally in the upcoming war. But, I probably don't wanna know what the drow are capable of. Kito starts sniffling a bit. He takes a big, long slurp from his drink. After a small bout of coughs and hiccups, he seems to be okay now. I hope you're right. Say, did I mention that my partner is demigod? |
| god the giant03-09-05, 05:04 PM | "i have a wierd feeling like...like... THERS EVIL AFOOT!!! i must ask another question, its hard for me to ask but, do you have a bathroom i need to tinkle." |
| god the giant03-11-05, 05:32 PM | so much talk about GODS. i would like to ask wah tGOD does evryone here serve. i am proud to say that i am the first prime to my LORD APOPHIS. he is the most powerful GOD in ANY galaxy. i would proudly die for him. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-11-05, 06:27 PM | Sheesh, don't deafen us. If you have to know, I am a proud, high-ranking clergy member for Lady Hlal, the Jester dragon. Like her, I follow whims, and spereads stories and jokes. Oh, and speaking of, Christopher, when exactly will the gods start showing up? |
| Lord Tarran03-11-05, 06:34 PM | ((Taeldrin, careful with contradictions. How do you serve a demigod and worship another. Annoying things like that ruin good characters. And Mickey, please man, be serious. Note to All: It is approaching 10:50 pm in the Darkhole.)) Christopher and Nezumi smile, glancing at each other's glowing symbols of Selune hanging around their necks. Christopher speaks after glancing to the sky. No reason to say which god is our patron. To answer your question, young Kito, I honestly don't know. I suspect at some point in the tommorrow, maybe later. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-11-05, 10:00 PM | (Eh, uh, LOOK OVER THERE! Shoot, sorry. I didn't say Kito served him, the two are just really good friends. Oh, and can Taeldrin stay here? I don't want him to lose his soul.) In a flash of turquoise light, a figure appears. He is panting, sweat-covered, and apparently terrified. He wears a flowing indigo robe, a red vestment, and black, baggy trousers. Looking up, he runs over to Kito. "Good gods! Eletia is psychotic! Kito, thanks for giving me the information on the war. And," He looks up at Christopher, "Thanks for letting me stay here, if you can." He walks up to a table, and sits down. |
| Lord Tarran03-12-05, 12:41 AM | I suppose that my cousin's young charge is quite insane. You can stay Taeldrin, if you must. Christopher and Nezumi both seem rather tired now. Nezumi more so of the two, she kisses Chris on the cheek before heading up the stairs to the private rooms that she and Christopher share. He looks mournfully after her, turning to Heimosu. I haven't slept in a few days. Can you hold down the fort for a few hours. I want to be rested when the gods begin to arrive. |
| Arcuna03-12-05, 01:48 AM | No problem. I'll take care of things while you rest. Heimosu goes around behind the bar. If anybody gets out of hand, I'll just put them in my prison. Jake rolls his eyes at the mention of "the prison". |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-12-05, 03:44 PM | Kito turns around. Noting that Taeldrin has fallen asleep at a table, he turns to Heimosu, and attempts to make conversation. What do mean by 'prison'? I've seen extradimensional cages, heard of captives in purgatory, and things like that. What's your 'prison'? |
| Arcuna03-13-05, 01:36 AM | It's an extradimensional cage of sorts. It is actually anchored in my body itself. It's large enough to house three, maybe four ogres comfortably, but I rarely have more than one person in there at a time. As of now, it is empty. Jake tends not to like it simply because I have actually put some efort into making it look somewhat nice. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-14-05, 06:34 PM | So, uhhhhhh, can I help you hold down the fort? I don't feel tired. Kito flies over to Taeldrin. He quickly sips out of Taeldrin's cup, and resumes speaking. Christopher has done alot for us. So, are you gonna stay up with us, God? |
| god the giant03-14-05, 07:49 PM | " yes i stay up with you but i need the strongest ale on tap and some food if there is any i have not eaten in three days. im getting a strange feeling down deep inside me. i...i feel something is terribly wrong in the misty mountains. oh no... maybe .. no it cant be.. i.. yes he is...maybe not maybe he. maybe he still there" a could sweet starts to run down Gods face as he is overcome with fear. ( hey i am being serios LT.) |
| Arcuna03-14-05, 09:10 PM | If he is here, we'll help you take care of him. Now, what is it you said you wanted? If you want the strongest ale here, then keep an eye on how much you drink. And as far as food goes, would you object to feldriow eggs? |
| god the giant03-14-05, 09:20 PM | " the eggs are fine and dont worry i can out drink a hundred dwarves. are you goin to eat anything?either of you. id hate to eat alone. odd my wierd feeling is gone...must have been gas." |
| Arcuna03-14-05, 09:30 PM | Heimosu makes a face for a second at that last comment. Sure, I'll eat with you. He fills up a glass of dwarven ale and puts it on the bar, intending for God to take it. He then goes into the kitchen and takes out two large eggs from a cupboard that is magically enchanted to help preserve food. He cracks them open and drops the insides into two large frying pans. The eggs should be ready in about five minutes, he shouts from the kitchen. |
| god the giant03-14-05, 09:36 PM | God swigs down the ale in a matter a seconds. " thanks that was good. when do you think the gods will mobilize thier forces and show up here? i mean there is no way that so many GODS could come to this one small tavern. kito do find watching for GODS fun cause you do it quiet often? my talk do not mean much im starting to ramble a little." |
| Lord Tarran03-14-05, 09:48 PM | ((I'm glad you took up so well Arcuna. I'm thinking about leaving Heimosu in positions more often. Mind?)) Christopher watches on for a moment as his old friend takes over his own duties. Walking slowly up the creaking stairs, the innkeeper makes it into the warm room which he shares with Nezumi. His love is already asleep, and he follows suite, falling to the bed out out cold. He does however have the energy to cuddle next to her, as they rest for a few hours. ((I'm going to concentrate on the Black Gate for a few days and then come back. Keep control arucna. ;) )) |
| Arcuna03-14-05, 10:01 PM | ((Thanks. I wouldn't mind at all. :) )) Heimosu comes out of the kitchen carrying two plates, each with a large, freshly cooked egg sitting on it. He sets them down on the table that God is sitting at. As he goes back to the bar to get himself and God a drink, he says, I doubt the gods will have trouble finding room here. The Inn is much larger than it lets on. Furthermore, I don't think it would be too difficult for them to create their own extradimensional space to live in for a little while. He sets the drinks and then himself down. He looks at God with a serious expression on his face. [color=blue]If he is nearby, do you think he knows where you are? If so, what will his most likely move be? |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-14-05, 10:20 PM | Fieldriow eggs? What are those? I'll just stick to what I know is unpoisoned. But thanks anyway. Kito closes his eyes. With a puff of smoke, a plate with what seems to be several herbs materializes. Kito starts to eat the meal. |
| god the giant03-15-05, 03:47 PM | never mind |
| Arcuna03-15-05, 07:27 PM | the only man i konw who can protect me is a man with readhair,a cross shaped scar like the minotaur, and carrys a sword with the blade on the wrong side. his name is kenshin and he is my oldest friend. no one not even most gods can compare to his god like speed and finese with a sword.((You have got to be kidding me. Can't you make someone up? I mean, that show is good and all, but he doesn't exist in this world.)) |
| god the giant03-15-05, 07:49 PM | (wanted to come up with something fast and didnt have any other ideas sorry.) |
| Arcuna03-15-05, 07:52 PM | ((That's okay, we can just pretend that it didn't happen. :) )) |
| god the giant03-15-05, 09:01 PM | (okay pretending that didnt happen, lets try this) " . his nextmove will be to try and kill me.there is only one man i know who can at least slow down the minotuar, a indian archer i met in the far east. his name was human man with bow thingy i can sense his presense and the miotaurs. if any one can slow that stupid minotuar down its him with his lightning fast arrows and tomahawk. hope he can stall the minotaur and the TICKLER a little while." there is something different in the way god talks and acts. the good mood he has been in the whole time has dissapeared and a very serious, angry look now lingers on his face. God eats his egg. |
| Mazithra-Amakiir03-18-05, 02:21 PM | I will find you. Always I will find you. There is not a place in all the realms, all the planes, nor all the worlds that you can go that I will not seek you out. I am always watching, always waiting. No manner of magic can halt me from bring you back again. No manner of weapon that you wield shall harm me in my search for you. Green fields, burned black by the damaging fires of war. Battles will be fought, wars will be waged. You will emerge victorious and still I shall find you and defeat you... Armies, vast armies, decimated by a single, individual figure. Moving shadows, overcoming the light... No amount of armies can stop me; no method of war will have an effect on me. I will take back what is rightfully mine. You will be my pawn, as you always have been..... Then darkness...nothing but darkness... Mazithra's head moved up gradually, his yellowed eyes sliding open as he moved slowly out of the trance state that he had been in. He hadn't realized how much time had passed; through blurred vision, he saw that the positions of the individual patrons of the tavern underground had changed. How long had he been out for? He supposed it didn't really matter; time was of unimportance in this realm and this place. His gaze looked to the door again; had the drow already passed through? Silently, he cursed himself for allowing the visions to once again assault him. Grasping his sword, the Githerzai slid the blade through the sinewy flesh of the palm of his hand, muttering in his native language under his breath. He will be cut to pieces...never shall I rest until it is done. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-19-05, 12:47 PM | (Wait. Are you that creature who's hunting God? This your first post, so I don't know.) Normally, I'd make a comment on states of mental breakdowns, but I'll leave you alone. Whatever is after you, your 'protector' will stop him. Kito looks back to Taeldrin. He starts to stir, then gets up. He shakes his head, as to regain his senses. "Wait, where is Christopher? I wanted to thank him." Relax. He can read minds, so I bet he knows. He's gone to rest. Do you have buisness elsewhere? Taeldrin looks to the inn's door, then up. "Yeah. The war may be waged here, but I have some buisness to attend to throughout the rest of the planes. Kito, you be the medium." With another flash of light, Taeldrin disappears, off to do his buisness. Kito closes his eyes, deep in thought. |
| Lord Tarran03-19-05, 01:36 PM | ((Glad to see you back in on this Khaira. Also, is Tatri okay for Dante? You never were clear on that.)) Yawning, Nezumi comes down the stairs. Glancing at the Githzerai, the girl quickly scans the creature's surface thoughts. Sending a cry up to the sleeping Christopher through telepathy, the female moved across the floor to Mazithra, as a bottle filled with a black liquid flies of the shelf behind the counter, followed shortly by a clean white cloth. Nezumi poured some of the black liquid onto the cloth, obviously meaning to treat Mazithra's slef-inflicted wound. You can take the sword out of your hand now, Mazithra. It'll take but a moment for me to heal this up, and then we can talk. Something seems wrong, and I'd like to help you out. Turning slightly to sit next to Mazithra and face the kitchen, the young woman yelled, Heimosu, get me a plate of Feldriow Egg! Mazithra needs something now! |
| god the giant03-19-05, 05:56 PM | " hope you slept well. we were talking , eting ,drinking and having good ol time." odd but Gods good mood has returned. the axe lets out a yawn and goes back to sleep. |
| Arcuna03-19-05, 09:53 PM | ((Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted much, but my computer decided to die on me and there wasn't much I could do. I'm on a friend's computer right now, but I hope to have my computer up and running by Tuesday.)) Heimosu runs into the kitchen and begins preparing another egg. He attempts to magically accelerate the cooking process without burning it. In a minute, he runs out with a plate carrying the freshly cooked egg. Here. Eat this, Mazithra. |
| god the giant03-20-05, 07:27 PM | ( hey mizithra, wah tare you talking about. are you hunting God or what?) |
| Khaira03-21-05, 05:02 PM | ((Geez, I go on vacation for two days, and come back assaulted by a dozen angles with questions! Tarran: Yes, Tatri is fine God, Taeldrin: If you are asking if I am hunting god the giant, no, Mazithra is not hunting him. Rather, Mazithra is being hunted. I see it's clarification time...the first paragraph is a vision that Mazithra is having. The dark red text is that of the entity who is hunting Mazithra. The black text (all of this in the first paragraph) is narrative of where he is/what he is seeing. The second part of the post, of course, is Mazithra's actions. And him sliding the blade of the sword through the flesh of his hand was more of a vow to himself. It was something of a "I won't rest until I kill him (him being the figure who is hunting Mazithra), I swear by my own blood" vow. Of course, the other characters may now know that. Anyway, I hope that cleared some things up. I'll post Mazithra's response later tonight...)) |
| god the giant03-21-05, 08:49 PM | ( ok guess that makes sense now. thanks for clarification.) |
| Khaira03-21-05, 11:05 PM | As the blood began to flow from Mazithra's hand and fall onto his clothes, the Githerzai seemed to be dazed by the magicalness and free-flowing of his own blood. Holding his hand up to his mouth, the Githerzai tasted the blood that now covered his hand. It was then that the Githerzai noticed the women before him. Where had she come from? At her words, the Githerzai's seemingly blank looked up to Nezumi, though it took an unusually long time for the Githerzai to register the words that she spoke. At long last, he leaned his now bloody sword up against the table, his blank eyes showing emotion for the first time he's been here. In fact, as Nezumi finished speaking, the fog of confusion seemed to be very briefly replaced by a look of confusion and sleight anger. But these emotions were only a flash before Mazithra's eyes. With a slow shake of his head, the still dazed Planar Warrior spoke in a soft, expressionless voice. "For all your kind words and actions, I doubt that you can help, lady. My affliction is more than life or death itself." |
| Lord Tarran03-22-05, 06:20 PM | As Christopher rolls over in bed, ignoring Nezumi, the young woman works about tending the flesh wound. I was talking about your hand, Mazithra. Nezumi voice changes in Mazithra's ears, as she realizes that the young girl is speaking not only in Githzerai, but the exact dialect that Mazithra grew up with, making Nezumi's words unknowable. I knew it was a blood oath from the moment I saw it, Mazithra. The potion I poured on this cloth should make it easier for you find whoever you are looking for, but I was curious, if from outsider to outsider, you would like to talk. I may not be a true planar outsider, but I know what it is to be an outsider among my species. Come, talk to me. Speaking dark thoughts brings light upon them. And hell! the girl laughs, I might even be able to help you out. |
| Khaira03-22-05, 09:43 PM | His formerly tense, cold body seemed to let down its guard as Nezumi spoke not only in the language of his home species, the natives of the Ever-Changing Chaos of Limbo, but also the dialect of his very own family. At the same time, however, his eyes grew ever colder; there were only two possible explanations as to how this woman knew the exact tongue of his own family - she was either an infiltrator, a spy sent by the hunter, polymorphed into an innocent shape in order to dull his senses and make it easier for his death; some manner of spell may have been cast upon him, altering his perceptions to cause him to hear only his native language. While he hoped that the latter were the case, he still had no reason to beleive that she was, in fact, an ally to him. The Dark Lord's bounty hunters had been notorious, after all, for getting close to their prey, and performing all sorts of endearing, trustworthy acts against their prey, just to draw the illusion of friendship around their hunted, only to ensure a clean, effortless beheading when the time was ripe. It was for this reason that Mazithra's eyes remained cold and empty, his hand close to his great sword - just in case. Help me out, eh? In what manner would she choose to apply her helping hand to my already scarred body? The word 'help' differs in a great and varied manner depending on the speaker and their motives. To some, that 'help' is intended to end the pitiful life of a certain hunted. For others, that 'help' is to relieve one of one's money pouches or valuable oragns. For the very few, 'help' is a genuine venture of concern and caring. Which manner of 'help' she desires to administer, I suppose, depends on what manner of creature she is ... and how much, if she is a servant of Him, she has been promised in payment. Mazithra seemed to weigh her words carefully, before his analytical, yellowed eyes rose up to meet hers, his own tone carefully weighted, so as to not reveal too much trust nor suspicion in her "What causes you to believe that I am an outsider, that I hold regret within my heart for being an outsider, or that I even have so dark of thoughts as you think?" |
| Lord Tarran03-22-05, 10:13 PM | Because I know, Mazithra Nezumi taps her temple. I know. I am no infiltrator, as you think, nor have I cast a spell. I have copied the information of your native tongue from your own brain, much as my beloved Christopher did when you first met him. The reason I know is simple. Like Chris, I am a natural born telepath. Add what Christopher shared with me, and I know everything about you. Well, almost. Neither Chris nor I have had the reason nor the right to dig into your deepest feelings, your inner most thoughts, but those that are truly hidden, we can pick up without trying, unforunately. What I have learned, is that at one point you were tossed from your family, you have witnessed the death of close friends, and that life in general has not been kind. Tell me, Mazithra, who is this Dark Lord? It may be that I know of him. Nezumi's face is unreadable. Mazithra has no way to know if Nezumi just trying to get him to talk about the Dark Lord aloud, or if she honestly knows nothing. |
| god the giant03-23-05, 03:41 PM | " oh my head. something must be wrong ,all my thougths are filled with darkness. please help me im scared. look into my head find what is happening." out of no where God falls to the floor and is overcome with fear. " help me...help me...help me ...help me." all God is saying is help me over and over and is turning pure white. |
| Arcuna03-23-05, 03:55 PM | A little confused as to why he would want someone to read his mind, Heimosu runs over to God. He sets him up against a wall and puts his hands on either side of his head. After magically calming him (at least a little), he says, Try to relax. Heimosu then proceeds to delve into God's mind. |
| god the giant03-23-05, 03:59 PM | just barely hearable "so much blood...why are they fighting...i am scared...someone must stop the fighting... who are they...killing weaker then them...WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME!!! they are so strong..look...look like us but different. " God once again starts saying help me over and over. |
| Arcuna03-23-05, 04:01 PM | ((So, what does Heimosu see?)) |
| god the giant03-23-05, 04:11 PM | in Gods head are the most evil and horrible things imaginable. people are dieing everywhere. many of the people in the inn are fighting to protect something or someone it is not clear. it seems that some of the group has fallen, God being one of the few but he is the only one clearly seen. many of great power have gathered to fight even Gods protecter the archer. it would seem evil beings are killing many good beings that have gathered for an unclear but common cause. thunder and lightning are clapping and flashing every where. this is unthinkable there is no way that anything this horrible could ever happen. the last thing seen is a minotaur wielding an axe similar to Gods, and with a swing of his axe everything ends. " hes coming to kill me, when we do battle with the other gods." God starts to bleed out his ears and passes out. he is in extremely bad shape. knocked out, pure white, bleeding, barely drawing breath ,he must be healed right away or it seems he will die soon. |
| Arcuna03-23-05, 04:47 PM | A bright light eminates from both of Heimosu's hands. There is a flash, and suddenly God disappears. He turns around and faces the others. I have placed him in my prison until he heals and wakes up. I'll keep an eye on him until then. In his mind, I saw visions of us fighting intruders, and defending his archer friend whom he mentioned earlier. I do not know if this vision is something meant to pass, or just an idea that had such a vivid horror that it overwhelmed him, but I think we should take it seriously, just in case. Chris, would you prefer it if I put him in a bed upstairs? He should be comfortable, and I can easily watch him, but we can move him if you think it would be better. |
| god the giant03-23-05, 05:05 PM | God is wake and alive just barely. visions still racing through his head. the visions now are very calm, kinda. suddenly he starts to replay a vision in his head, the night his parents were killed. he can see the minotaur kill his little brother, then his mother. his father trys to protect them but is over powered. God is sitting in the corner,as his father falls God picks up his fathers axe and slashes the minotaur in the back. but then God is thrown through the cave wall. a few hours later bleeding and almost dead God awaits a miracle and gets one.an archer come and rofces a few potions down his throat and treats his wounds. the next vision is God training with two of the very few good giants. the minotuar then jumps out of the bush kills the other two giants, but this time God has ran. God has no idea how the minotuar found him but he knows now he must be the hunter. "must get revenge" are the new words God repeats. his wounds seem to have healed a tiny bit. he should awaken with in the hour. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-23-05, 06:24 PM | Kito is in a state of shock, after seeing God's condition. He walks over to Heimosu, and starts looking around. So, uh, how will he be? Quite a few people don't seem to be okay. Could this be a sign that the gods are coming, and their auras are affecting us? If so, who could be next? I know Christopher set up some mind-thing barrier, but just how prepared are we for this holy war? And say, where exactly is that extradimensional prison of yours? |
| Lord Tarran03-23-05, 06:36 PM | In an extra dimension. Christopher comes sliding down the bannister, leaping off, doing a triple flip, and landing on his feet. Tada!!! Heimosu, bring God upstairs. You will find a room on your left after the second flight that will fit him. Kito, no. This inn is a haven, a safe place. Now, had God been outside, your hypothesis would be perfectly resonible, but in here, it would have to be his own inner demons. He snaps, as blue runes traces themselves over the entire building, lighting up the cave, before fading away. They will be arriving soon, everyone, be prepared. ((NOTE TO ALL: The gods will be arriving on Friday night. Review the list if you need to know whose coming. Tarran out.)) |
| Arcuna03-23-05, 07:03 PM | As Heimosu heads upstairs, he says, I think the answer you wanted to know is that it is tied directly to my body. It was the easiest place to create it, because my body serves as a gate to and from a dying far plane. Avernus can explain it in much greater detail when he returns. For now, we have to take care of this giant. He should be fine, but nonetheless, we should keep a close eye on him. I doubt the gods' auras are the direct cause of God's trouble, but I suppose the situation could have been caused by something about the gods' presence that triggered a long lost traumatic memory to resurface in God's mind, which then gave him a big fright...I know that's a little farfetched, but it's just a guess. I wouldn't be able to find the problem without going back into his mind, and in his current state, I don't know if he could take that. Chris, on the other hand, might be able to do it. Turning to Chris, he says, Of course, it's up to you to decide if that's a good idea. I'll be back in a minute. Heimosu heads upstairs to the room Chris designated. He releases God gently onto the bed, casts a basic monitoring spell on the room, and then heads back down. |
| god the giant03-23-05, 07:09 PM | God has finally calmed down and is sleeping.he shall wake with in 15 minutes ( im gonna consider the post after this 15 minutes for God) |
| Khaira03-24-05, 01:13 AM | He smirked as Nezumi proceeded to explain how much she knows about him. "You know much about me and yet, you know nothing about me. It is the hardest thing in the cosmos, to know an individual." What she had discovered...was just the beginning. It was only the beginning of Thanatos ... his trial. And nowhere was the end in sight...again, he looked to Nezumi, shrugging at her supposed knowledge of his past. "So ... you know of my beginning. But only my beginning. Shall I relate to you of how, for the past 30 years, I have been hunted by this bounty hunter or that one? Or how, of all the planes that I have sought solace in, I've always been found? Or, perhaps, how He impaled me with my own blades? Or, perhaps, of every vision that I have had, every dream that he has visited me in..." He smirked, a sly look in his eyes. "For all that you and Christopher know of me ... neither of you know much of anything. The tale goes much deeper than mere blood..." As she asked, then, about the Dark Lord, he had to pause; He'd had so many names, titles, forms...how did one explain what He was? Shrugging nonchalantly, Mazithra seemed somewhat uncaring as to the description of Him. "He is a shapechanger, the Dark Lord. He's had a thousand titles, even more forms and, at his disposal, an entire army to send after whoever he sees fit. In Limbo, in my own settlement, he was the true power behind the throne. He was the reason for the bounty that was placed upon my head. I used to be a Samurai; because I desired to keep my brain the the Illthids to live and fight another day, I was to be executed. Even though I escaped, a bounty lies still on my head. If you were to behead me - or another came through the door, and were to do such a thing - there would be no repercussions, as I am not worthy of a trial nor any form of fair treatment. At least, in the eyes of the Dark Lord, the king, and the Samurai's Code. He paused again, his voice bitter and resentful when he spoke again, though he first seemed to be quoting some law. "To run from battle is among the gravest disgraces that a fellow Samurai could commit." He looked straight into Nezumi's eyes. "Even when hordes of Illthid's approach and even more feast on your companions' brains. Or, at least, what is left of them. Even when all is hopeless, death is certain, and you shall not survive to further the bloodline...it is forbidden. What can I say - I guess I'm a walkin', dead Githerzai." Oddly enough, as he spoke these last words, his rage seemed to dissapear and he appeared calm, relaxed...and uncaring. " |
| god the giant03-24-05, 03:49 PM | God comes slowly limping down the stairs using his axe as a cruch. by the look of him there is no way he should be out of bed. his cheeks have barely gained any color and it is most likely that he will die if he has another vision very soon. " my thanks Heisomu. if you had not put me in your prision i surely would have died. the things i saw no giant or human should ever have to. the worst part about it i have no idea what caused it. my head hurts so much, its like someone dropped a lot of boulders on my head. please i would like you look into my mind again and see what you can find out ,but only if you want to." God sits down on a chair, getting a little more color back in his face. "please someone i need a drink, but not ale, water and something to make my head stop hurting." |
| Arcuna03-24-05, 07:19 PM | Heimosu looks over to Chris. Do you think it's safe? My suggestion is that he should rest a bit longer before we try to enter his mind. What do you think? |
| Lord Tarran03-24-05, 08:28 PM | Christopher gets the water for God, as well as a black powder, which he mixes into a second glass. This should make your head feel better. He turns to Heimosu. It would be safe for me to enter his mind, my friend, though I sense that it is too early as of yet for his mind to be stable enough for you to be of any use. He looks apologetic. Sorry. After God has drunk the water and black liquid, Christopher raises himself far enough off the floor to touch the giant's temples. Entering God's Mindscape, Chris sees nothing. Hmmm, he thinks, staging area between my mind and his. Someone major screwed with his head. No matter. Christopher proceeds to enter the true mindscape, looking around for the giant's internal avatar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nezumi ticked off in her mind what she had known already about Mazithra, rewriting the ist where it became more clear. She smiles internally, glad to see the Githzerai willing to come, somewhat, to terms with his past. You are not walking dead, Mazithra, and here you can find solace. In the coming war, we will need people like you to help bring the fight to the devils, or at least help here, to organize, to lead. Once this war ends, I'm not sure when, I swear a blood oath that Christopher and I will do all in our power to have to brought to your former glory, and more importantly, put the Dark Lord away, somehow... ((One more day people, get ready!!!)) |
| god the giant03-24-05, 08:30 PM | " do you know how to get rid of the evil thoughts in my head? i dont like seeing innocent death over and over. my head feel much better. thank you." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-24-05, 09:15 PM | Kito has flown back to the window. He is convinced that God and the Githzerai's problems stem from the gods. Looking out, he sees nothing in the cold Underdark tunnels. But suddenly, the door flies open. He turns around, preparing to lunge. But nothing happens. Nothing except a small letter fly in. Kito picks it up. He fumbles with it for a minute, then reads it out loud. Kito, and anyone GOOD who might be listening, I offer my aid. My friend is coming here to assist you. If it is not wanted, she'll come anyway. Expect her in a day or two. Best of luck.-Taeldrin Laesrash |
| Khaira03-24-05, 10:34 PM | Mazithra's eyes quirked upwards at the mention of a war; in battle ... that was where he belonged. His mind always felt so ... disconcerted all the time. Battle was the only way he could conquer that boredom, that disconcertion. His whole life had been about war, battle, and conflict; indeed, his very body and mind was a battle ground for two clashing forces. His battle-scarred hand grasped the great sword still leaning against the table, his sleeves sliding up his arm as he sheathed his sword. It was then that Nezumi saw varied scars, burn marks and, under all of the signs of his previous battles, tattoes and runes etched into his very skin. Crossing his arms, then, the Githerzai looked at Nezumi, his yellowed eyes glinting with the prospect of action, at last. He needed to know that his bruised limbs and weary mind still was capable of its old strength. "War, you say? War against whom? You can count me among the striking forces; I cannot sit here, my limbs and mind lying in dormant servitude to a still body when I could stave of the boredom that runs rampant in my soul." Mazithra shrugged, however, at her mention of battling the Dark Lord. "Help or not...you would not be the first nor that last to go against the Dark Lord. Nor would it be the first time that he has been defeated..." Mazithra closed his eyes and when he spoke again, his voice held a certain doomful tonality to it. "The Dark Lord, watchful from every shadow, Created from the beginning of time, Servant of the very shadow that constrains him, The Rune-Inscribed only can slay him, Only by sacrificing his life and soul." |
| Romeo03-25-05, 01:06 AM | <--- dumbarse forget about post |
| Arcuna03-25-05, 01:10 AM | He looks apologetic. "Sorry."Heimosu smiles. Don't be. It's not your fault that your psionic abilities are far greater than mine. I admit, though, sometimes I envy your power. Jake, who had apparently nodded off in his chair, looks up at Heimosu with warning eyes. Heimosu. Yeah, I know. "Do not be jealous of others, for everyone has his or her own purpose." It's just that Chris-- Heimosu. I didn't mean it like that. It's the fact that he is able to control his power, and I wish I could do the same. That is why you are training. Some day, you will obtain full control over your power. First, however, we have to get through this war alive. Otherwise, there's no point in training. Jake says that last part with a smirk on his face. Heimosu also smiles at the lame joke his friend and instructor made. |
| Lord Tarran03-25-05, 01:45 AM | Christopher is still aware of the happenings outside. Heimosu hears Chris's voice in his head, souding like it was smirking. It helps to, Heimosu, that I was born a telepath, trained as a telepath, oh, and have a lifetime of experience over you in mind matters. One day, you'll be able to do what I do now. Though I wonder what'll be my level at that point. ((Mick! I need a description of the dreamscape to continue please.)) Nezumi looks surprised that the Githzerai is not aware of the vents going on around him. A great war is coming, Mazithra. Asmodeus, the king of Hell, has set up base in a nearby drow city, and this cave is being used as home base for several good gods in their war against the lord of evil. |
| Khaira03-25-05, 11:00 AM | Mazithra nodded, now somewhat intrigued. "Sounds like the Time of Troubles all over again; I'd heard that the deities of Faerun were meddlesome, but this must be an appocalyptic-sized event to have the majority of them involved. If you have need of me in this coming battle, miss, tell me where me and my blade may be of use." |
| Arcuna03-25-05, 11:37 AM | Turning to Mazithra, Jake says, You're not fighting in any wars until you are healed. Chris, I think that, by that time, I shall be very afraid of you. ;) Seriously though, I realize that I'm only running on four years of experience, and you probably top me by several hundred. To be honest, I had never intended, let alone dreamed, to become a telepath. You know, I used to be a simple rogue. Man, those days sure were different. |
| god the giant03-25-05, 01:42 PM | the inside of Gods head is odd. God is alive and well. he has kids, a wife and his parents and siblings are alive. there is no war between the ruling parties. God rules over his domain very kind and gently. many are loyal to him willing to give their lives for him in war. but God does not wish war,he only desires peace. the long time champion of God is the archer is his best friend. this does not seem right. his mind has been twisted so much. there is no way this is way that any of this is right. the God you know loves the thrill of battle and woud destroy the minotuar the first chance he had. there is how ever a clue to what has happened. every where Christopher goes there is a wizard speaking with the minotaur. the wizard seems to be planning something. finally Christopher reaches a part of Gods mind and thing are truely evil. this part of the mind seems to have been blocked from God. God has been tourchered and questioned. the wizard and minotaur stand over God, he struggles with every once of strength he can muster and breaks on of the chains holding him down ,but that is all he can do. the wizrd casts a spell.God laying on the table is in true pain yelling "these memories are not real,i dont believe them." for what seems like forever the wizard pumps false memories into God. God denies evry one until he starts to believe these false memories. the real memories are the ones of Gods families death but the good and bad memories seem to have some how been intertwined, causing God to have the attack. his body must finally not be able to keep the horrible memories back. almost seven percent of his brain is holding back these memories this would explain his limited intelegence. his body is truly fighting a war it cant win. to destroy the false memories, but all it has been able to do for years is hold them back. if released this much trama may very well kill God. |
| Arcuna03-25-05, 02:20 PM | ((Are there any physical signs that God is in pain? Because, if so, Jake intends to do what he can to help. He isn't a natural psion, but he knows a lot about anatomy and physiology.)) |
| Khaira03-25-05, 03:19 PM | Turning to Mazithra, Jake says, You're not fighting in any wars until you are healed. Turning to the the obviously confused stranger, the Githerzai eyed the psion. When he spoke, his voice was expressionless, like unreadable stone, though it held a hint of humor. "I appreciate your concern for my well-being, sir, but believe you me, I am not as incapacitated as you would like to believe me being. I have weathered many a battle - aye, and a war, too - and emerged victorious. Whatever injury you have convinced yourself of me having...I am as ready for this war as you are." |
| Arcuna03-25-05, 03:29 PM | The boy tries to force a smile. Then you aren't ready at all. But, I intend to at least make a dent in Asmodeus's forces before I am defeated, and it is obvious that you are capable of doing the same, if not much more. My apologies for underestimating your condition; I understand that you have survived much worse, but I just want to be sure that everyone is able to fight as best we can. |
| god the giant03-25-05, 05:36 PM | ( no pain on the inside but outside he is a wreck. he could really use medical attention even though he wont admit it.) |
| Arcuna03-25-05, 06:27 PM | Jake stands up. That's it. I can't take this anymore. Chris may have his mind under control, but his body is messed up. Jake walks over to the barely consious giant and puts both of his arms on God's chest. Both Jake's arms and God's chest take on a reddish glow as Jake pumps positive energy into him. |
| god the giant03-26-05, 10:46 AM | " ah wounds healing. i fell my strength returning. thank you jake. but my wounds are extreme this may take some time" God stops talking because it would seem he will pass out if he talks anymore. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-26-05, 10:53 AM | So, is he okay? I still say the god's aura is causing this stuff. I suspect that as they get closer, more wierd stuff'll happen. Do you think that they'll get here soon? I think we'd better start preparing. ((Speaking of, where are they?)) |
| god the giant03-26-05, 11:05 PM | ( like gandalf in the lord of the rings the GODS are late. come on LT where are they.) |
| Daleah The Faithful03-27-05, 08:29 AM | http://www.wtv-zone.com/sunshine/hpd/gifs/holidays/easterbasket4.gif |
| god the giant03-27-05, 10:06 AM | Happy Easter Everyone!!! |
| Lord Tarran03-27-05, 12:45 PM | (( Tank you Daleah. I don't suppose that means you will be joining us? And sorry that this post is late. I've not had the time to do this properly.)) The ground below shakes slightly as the cave outside the inn floods with the light of a thousand Gate spells opening at once. Celestials of all sorts pour from these gates, quickly organizing into rank and file troops, as hundreds of lesser creatures of various sorts come through next. Soon, the armies have formed, thousands upon thousands of troops, all for the forces of good,, making the cave glow as if it were day. The gates soon close, as in the center of the cave, the only area except for the inn not occupied by a soldier explodes in heavenly divine light. A portal has opened, as the gods, all of those that Christopher had named before slowly walk out and make their ways to the armies carrying their banner. One god, however, does not make his way to an army. He looks like a bard ready for battle, a lute on his back next to his sword, strapped to his chainmail armor. He walks across the length of the cave, to the inn, knocking upon the door before entering to sit at the bar. Christopher and he trade glances as the boy pours a glass of fine wine for the guest. Hello, Oghma. How art thou, my lord master of Scribes? Asks Christopher, respect heavy in his voice. The god considers the question a while as he looks at his wine. I am well, personally, Christopher. However, the state of affairs makes me quite worried. My worshippers tell me that if Asmodeus breaks free, and is allowed to get to the surface world, that it is the End of Days for Toril. Is that true? Christopher nods. Yes, Uncle Oghma, I'm afraid that they are quite correct. The god looks quite disturbed by this. Well then, I guess I'll be going to fetch my friends and armies then, won't I? The god stands slowly. Is that room upstairs still okay? Christopher nods, as the god walks towards the stairs. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-27-05, 01:41 PM | Oh, uh...Lord Oghma! It is an honor to meet me, er, you, and, and, hello. Kito's face has somehow gotten even redder. Who else is here? ((Remember my suggestions.)) |
| Arcuna03-27-05, 02:41 PM | ((Of all the times my parents could have "decided" I had spent too much time on the computer...Sorry about not posting sooner.)) Heimosu and Jake both stand in a corner, bowing profusely, but sincerely, to any god who happens to look their way. Despite how awkward and out of place they both obviously feel, it is very apparent that Jake is much more accustomed to this than Heimosu may ever be. |
| god the giant03-27-05, 07:27 PM | God slowly stands and to show his respect drops to one knee and bows his head. " now this is more like it. the Gods have assembled and are ready for battle. i to am ready. my wounds have healed enough. there may still be healing to do but if a battle is about to start then i am ready." God is not ready, his wounds have not been completely healed and he is obviously acting odd near the Gods. Gods champion the archer walks through the door." God i am here to tell you that the minotuar has defeated me in battle." the archer drops to the ground and is dead with an axe in his back. "NOOOOOO!!! i will kill this minotaur. my champion is dead and he was the closest thing i had to family." God is burning red standing up,muscles bulging, and ready to go. all of the sudden the wounds on Gods body open up,he passes out and it seems like he is about to die. he seems to be having some sort of panic or heart attack. he may not survive this one the first one almost killed him and he was in way better shape. this time his wounds may be to great to heal. |
| Arcuna03-27-05, 07:37 PM | Forgetting that they are in the presence of gods, Heimosu runs over to the archer, and Jake to God. Heimosu checks his vitals (or lack thereof), then sarcastically thinks "Welcome to the Darkhole Inn" to himself. Jake begins to pump more positive energy into God. (If God doesn't have any supernatural afflictions, the healing should be complete in about one game minute.) |
| god the giant03-27-05, 07:40 PM | the archer is dead and the healing is not helping God. He dies, and with his last words syas " my last friend is coming to replace me." Then God is lifeless. two good people are dead one reason obvious the other not so obvious. |
| god the giant03-27-05, 07:46 PM | a man in a cloak charges into the room and forces a potion down Gods throat. " i am to late. it took me 4 years to make this potion." looking at him,its a giant turtle, with a quaterstaff on his back that glows. this may be Gods friend. wierd how such a nice guy had so little friends. the turtle begins to softly cry while whispering to him slef "its my fault God is dead." over and over again. |
| Arcuna03-27-05, 07:55 PM | Jake is completely baffled as to why his healing had no effect. Furthermore, he let someone, whom he had sworn to protect, die in the presence of the (literally) holiest of guests. Then, his confusion slowly turns into anger, hatred, and self disappointment. Black smoke engulfs his body, and a smokey outline of two shadowy wings form on his back. He begins to lift off the ground, when suddenly, (<Everything happens for a reason, Charon. There was nothing you could have done, regardless of your good intentions. Calm down.>) the smoke and wings disappear, and he lands back on the ground. As if nothing had happened, the small child lifts the giant off the ground. Calmly, but bitterly, Jake says, Heimosu, help me find a place to bury these two. Heimosu attempts (but fails) to act as if he hadn't seen Jake's anger begin to get the better of him. He gently picks up the archer's corpse. They proceed to leave the Inn. ((This is getting interesting!)) |
| god the giant03-27-05, 08:15 PM | the turtle is kinda amazed. " those wings were unreal." becoming truely serious"it was my fault that God died. myself and the archer engaged in battle with the minotuar, thinking we could win in a two on one situation. what we didnt know was it was an ambush.the potion i gave to God took me ten years to gather the ingredients and four years to make. for God this potion would have cured him and he would have been him true self. for anyone else it would do to them what it did to me. ultimate knowledege. i realized that it was not right for me to have so i made an antidote and got ride of it.for God he would have been very neer God ship.God was the ruler of all giants at one point. no giant starved, homeless, theywere all treated equal. the minotuar had tried to do the same thing only his kinsmen would not cooperate. so the minotuar thought if he killed God the giants would think of him as some kind of God. well the two fought, but the minotuar had taken Gods family hostage. so when Gods was about to win his family was killed and God was held by ten mages using powerful spells. Gods head was messed up by a mage.so i created a potion to block the memories. the problem was Gods mind eventually started to reverse the effects of the potion. this caused an attack on his mind. i felt it, because we were linked. so this potion would slowly negate the other potion and he would hopefully slowly accept the real past. if i had not gottin into the fight he would still be alive so this is 100% my fault." the turtle breaks into tears" most of my race were killed trying to get this potion to God. there were almost 4 million of us now there are only 300,00 of our greatest warriors. they are going to hold back the minotuars army as long as they can then will run back to our home to repopulate our population." to keep himself from crying the turtle throws a potion on the ground. a monk appears with a quaterstaff and the two spar. the monk gets knocked out, dissapears and the turtle is now some-what calm. (( intresting but sad. i hate to kill God but i want to keep my other group and this group the same.)) |
| god the giant03-27-05, 09:06 PM | " if you would like i could send the two of them to their homes. it will use some of my last potions but i can always make more. i know god wanted to be burried at his home. the archer well i dont have a clue where he was from but the potion will send him back> but if you wish you can burry them hear as long as we preform the proper ceremonies." |
| Arcuna03-27-05, 10:25 PM | Jake stops. Without turning around, he says, Very well. However, we should do it outside. The smell of a corpse can become almost unbearable, and I hear that gods have a very keen sense of smell. |
| god the giant03-28-05, 10:36 AM | " that is fine." the three go out side the inn and find a proper spot to bury the two who have passed on. the turtle (who has not yet givin his name) starts to prefom his ritual. throwing powder in th air and chanting. air is swirling around the graves, and there is a strange vibration around the grave. the archers sould and Gods raise from the ground the archer flies away, but Gods soul remains to say something, and as he does all the people he has been talking to in the inn appear in front of the grave."it was my time to go,even though i did not help in this war i will always be watching." he looks directly at the turtle 'my friend finish it for me." with that God grabs his axe slams the ground a vanishes. as he dissapears all are teleported back to the inn. " well guess you would like to know how you were transported outside. God... that was the last of his magic even though he stopped casting spells long ago guess he wanted to go out with something spectactular." |
| Lord Tarran03-28-05, 10:50 AM | ((Mick, I will remind you that I require that the name of a character be given in their first arriving post inside the inn. Please post the name in the next post.)) Both Christopher and Nezumi look sadly on as their friends had tried to ressurect God and the archer. Their personal abilities told them before Heimosu had left his seat the the now dead two were beyond hope. Sure a nearby god could bring the two from dead, but it was better to let the two die at this point of suffering. Christopher recollects himself, having to escape the mindscape much more quickly than he had wished. He sets about preparing the inn for possible new guests, while setting out on the counter the foods and drinks he knew that Heimosu, Jake, Mazithra, and <Eric's character's name> would enjoy. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash03-28-05, 11:35 AM | ((What about Kito? Pseudodragons have to eat as well!)) Geez, so much has happened in so little time. This war is becoming corrosive on our minds. Of course, we are lucky that God is watching us. But how long will that peace last? |
| Khaira03-28-05, 11:41 AM | As Mazithra sat and awaited an answer from Nezumi about where he would be best suited in this coming war, the inn suddenly exploded with action. First a man walked in, severely wounded by an axe, and then God himself fell, unknown afflictions finally taking its toll on his already burdened body and soul. Then, the inn was filled with all kinds of celestials, ammunition for the coming war and, finally, the Gods themselves appeared, from out of countless gates, littering the Inn with holy, cosmic powers. Arising out of his chair, the Githerzai bowed to the various deities that had graced the Inn and all of its patrons with their all-powerful presence. His voice, while seemingly expressionless, still held a hefty measure of respect and reverence as he greeted the various deities. "Greetings and a thousands welcomes unto all of thee. 'Tis a blessing and a pleasure to meet you all; it is unfortunate, however, that circumstances of this meeting were not better arranged." With those few words, the Githerzai once again sat down, an idle hand drumming a absent-minded rythym upon the table as he watched the various deities and their fodder of war go about their business. |
| god the giant03-28-05, 12:31 PM | (well what if i dont have a name) "my name..what is a name? my name is donny. yes so much has happened in so little time and there is not much we have done fo God. but that is in the past and we must move into the present. there seems to be a major conflict from what i read from Gods mind. well are there any questions from any of you about me or what happened to God? i would be pleased to answer them." the turtle sits down and takes a few deep breaths. he obviously is haveing trouble letting go of the memories of God."could someone please tell me what God was like mentally when he arrived? i must konw because then i can determine wether or not my potion really would have worked or not." donny stops talkiing and pulls a locket off his neck. 'this is the one thing i treasure most." he opens it up and there is a picture of him and God training, with the inscription- strength comes from the heart. |
| Arcuna03-28-05, 06:12 PM | ((Now there's an interesting spell...Capture Image...it's the D&D version of a camera...This is what lack of sleep does to me.)) Jake calmly sits down at Donny's table. Heimosu silently gets his and Jake's plates (he mentally thanks Chris for the food, but speaking orally would be too much for him right now) and sits down at the table as well. At first, he just seemed paranoid. But, as his odd behavior progressed, he seemed more and more fearful. It was as if he was being torn apart from the inside... I saw images of us fighting an unknown enemy and attempting to defend the archer. In his vision, he was already...I think he may have seen into the near future. I am still not ready to believe that he has fully passed away, though. The timing seemed way too...convenient. The two of them slowly eat their meals while they talk. |
| god the giant03-28-05, 10:31 PM | " oh no...this is very bad! God could see things when he had lordship over the giants. the main reason besides him being kind was he saw into the future and saved them from destruction many times. every image came true. i saw what you saw through my link to his mind and preyed that just this once he was wrong. but, he has fallen and so has the archer, soon we may all die. the last vision God had was me running in the room and giving him the potion. i thought it ment i would get here in time, but i was wrong. the chances were slim but the potion may have worked." Donny starts to cry,not caring that there are gods present." why did he have to die...why couldnt they experiment on my mind instead of his...if he could have only held on a few more seconds... he knew i was coming... he always told me he would be alive to take the potion... so many of my people needed his leadership... i promised him i would help him. WHY!!!!! Donny is crying so hard he is barely breathing. he makes a fist a his viens bulg and seem like they are going to burst. "ITS JUST NOT FAIR!!!" |
| god the giant03-29-05, 07:26 PM | For a few moments Donny gets a hold of him self. " he's not truely dead. When he said he would be watching us he ment it. he has become a higher being. not a god but a creature more powerful then a god. if he was able he would stop all fighting everywhere. the only problem is there are rules of him being so powerful. he can not meddle or in anyway do anything to help us. there are others like him.they feel getting involved with our problems is below them." Donny takes a few deep breaths to keep him self calm. " i can bring him back.the only problem is he has to some how tell me he wants to come back but he is forbidden to do so. if he breaks these rules the others will either send him back with no knowledge or destroy him. i will try to bring him back soon but if he doesnt know im doing it, it may not work. the archer i can not bring back sadly." he starts to cry horribly again. |
| god the giant03-30-05, 10:29 PM | ( LT maybe down a day or two. internet acting up on him.) |
| Arcuna03-30-05, 10:36 PM | ((Thank you for letting us know. :) )) |
| god the giant03-30-05, 10:42 PM | (no problem.) |
| Lord Tarran04-02-05, 09:13 PM | Outside of the inn, the portals were beginning to close, or at least shrink, as the armies of the gods' finished filing in. Camps were being finished, and there was a general calm outside. Within the inn, there was mourning for the loss of God and the nameless archer. Christopher, as was his style, let little emotion show, though within he was grieving as everyone else. Nezumi let a few tears fall, before remembering the tasks at hand. Oghma was upstairs, calling in favors with the few gods that he could to get down here. Soon, the humble inn would be a base of command. Silently, the girl made here way down into the basement, and then down again into the arena below. As it had appeared long ago when Christopher had shown it to friends, the arena was made of tan, and dusty stone, the seats of the amphitheater long and stone, all completely empty. This would make a fine site for the gods, or their avatars at least, to orchestrate the workings of the war from this side of the underdark. Using the sorcerous gift, coupled with her psionic gifts, Nezumi quickly shapes the latent magic of the arena to form the grand circle into something usable. A great map of the Underdark forms in one section, as conferance areas appear in others. Soon, the construction is finished, as a portal opens next to Nezumi, allowing the gods passage to the HQ. Nezumi collaspes at that moment, the use of magic and psychic gifts beyond her actual ability. Laying in the dirt, the girl sends a single cry from her to the mind of Christopher. The innkeeper moves like a man possesed from where he stodd to beside Nezumi far below. Without thought, he scooped up his love, craddling her in pride for the great thing he saw with his own eyes. The blue portal opened in the center of the cave outside the inn where the gods had originally appeared, with magical runes above asking the gods to enter. None do at the moment. As all this takes place, a woman enters the inn. Her skin glows, as does her gold hair and silver eyes. Her wings reveal her to be an angel, the trumpet at her side suggests that she is an archon. In a ringing tone she asks: Do any of ye here wish to join the ranks of Lord Torm for the first charge on the dark city? |
| god the giant04-03-05, 12:33 PM | Donny follows Christopher down the stairs, now in control of him self. "Christopher is she alright? it may just be me but she looks 100% drained. we should let her rest. would you like me to bring her to her room while you tend to the needs of the gods? ill do what i can to help, but i just dont know how much i can do." Donny seems to be thinking very hard. "Christopher can i ask you a question? do you right now mourn the loss for God or is it just me?" |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-07-05, 07:25 PM | What was Christopher doing? His rapid and distressed movements seemed troublesome. It might be worth seeing. He flies down the stairs, to a bizarre sight. It seems like an underground theater. A shining white figure, an angel is next to a crouched figure. Peering closer, it seems like that figure is Christopher and Nezumi! Kito's face is pale. He rushes to Nezumi, bumping aside the angel. He looks around her, but finally leans over her while waving his arms as hard as he can. I'll see what I can do. If the god's power harmed her, then maybe my magic will be enhanced. But really, Christopher, you should focus on greeting and sorting out the oncoming gods. Me and the turtle-man can sort this out. |
| Lord Tarran04-08-05, 12:19 AM | ((This is one of the ok OOC posts that I will make. Taeldrin and God, answer me this. How is it that your characters, which are still in the main inn, have no way of seeing Nezumi, have no telepathic connections to her, and she is far below ground, nearly a mile below the inn, how you can go to her? From the way Christopher was moving, he could have been going to the basement to get something. Hmmm? Please read guys.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-08-05, 10:02 AM | OOC: Sigh, the little things always get me. But moving 'like a man posessed' should attract someone's attention, right? |
| Khaira04-08-05, 12:33 PM | As all this takes place, a woman enters the inn. Her skin glows, as does her gold hair and silver eyes. Her wings reveal her to be an angel, the trumpet at her side suggests that she is an archon. In a ringing tone she asks: Do any of ye here wish to join the ranks of Lord Torm for the first charge on the dark city? Mazithra looked around as an angel commander for Torm himself appeared, and requested individuals to help with the first charge. Looking around the Inn, Mazithra was quite surprised to find out that nobody was standing to go to battle for Torm. Calm, pale yellow eyes met the angel's own eyes as he stood up, a muscled, scarred hand securing his rune-inscribed great sword into place at the sheath on his back. Then, approaching the angel, Mazithra bowed, his voice reverent, respectful and his eyes, glinting with the anticipation of the prospective battle. "Greetings and welcome unto thee. I am Mazithra Amakiir, Native of Limbo and Planar Warrior, at you and the Lord Torm's service. Gladly will I join the forces of the Lord Torm for an opportunity to be a member of the first charge against the dark city." |
| god the giant04-08-05, 03:15 PM | (ok my bad, but you dont know everything about this turtle) " Greetings, and if you would honor me i would join the forces in the first wave. knowingly there will be much combat. please tell me what i may need to be ready for this battle?if i could have a vision right now i would, but most of the time i cant control my visions.wish i could, maybe i should practice." |
| Arcuna04-08-05, 06:01 PM | OOC: Sigh, the little things always get me. But moving 'like a man posessed' should attract someone's attention, right?((He teleported without leaving a trace. The posessed part was after he teleported. He and the angel are in completely different places. And just for future reference, OOC posts have to be in double parentheses. :) )) Jake stands up and walks over to the angel. Greetings. My name is Charon Xuyna, and I would gladly assist in the coming battle. Just tell me what I need to do. ((Okay, so the name sucks. Naming isn't exactly one of my specialties. And sorry I didn't post sooner, homework has seriously been bogging me down.)) |
| god the giant04-08-05, 06:14 PM | (( hey guys and gals we have a thread for occ. think its time we start to use it.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-08-05, 06:50 PM | ((Sigh. Please, let's just move on. Please?)) Join the ranks of Torm? Assault on the Dark City? I don't think I'm ready for this. And just how will we do this? I'm sorry, your master probably has this all figured out. But assisting you would be an honor...I think. Ehhh, my name's Kito Liadon. I suppose I will join you. Kito resumes his concentration on Nezumi. But he is also muttering to himself. This is getting confusing. With God's death, the gods getting here, and this angel's message? I dunno if I can handle this. And Taeldrin's letter...Will she be ready for something like this? Should I have come here in the first place? |
| god the giant04-08-05, 09:01 PM | "i feel very uncomfortable. none of these gods are mine, ah yes i forgot,i do not worship such false gods. i dont believe that anyone should have power over another. all these gods around are driving me nuts. none of my powers are working correctly. the only thing that works is my telapathic abilities. the last time i used them i was talking to God." donny stops talking for a second and then is a low voice," it is time for me to bring God back. i will only have one chance at this." Donny starts to preform a odd ritual outside. as in the funerail of God throwing powder in the air and chanting. suddenly the most amazing thing happens, a blue flame rises from the ground and in all of Gods friends in the inn he appears in their heads" Please do not to try to ressurect me. i can now see things in a way i never could before. i feel i can do much good as such a powerful being. you are all my deerest friends and i treasured every moment with you all." with that God is gone and on a table in the inn is a locket for all of his friends with their names on it. inside it is the inscription "strength comes from the heart" "it is over i will never have another chance to bring him back." Donny walks over to the table with his locket and they all start to glow. "these can keep us in touch with each other. while in battle or in a time of calm." Donny hands them out to everyone but Chris and Nezumi since they are down stairs. |
| Lord Tarran04-08-05, 09:03 PM | While Christopher begins to make his way back to the common room, the angel looks about those volunteering for the first charge. She smiles. Well met all, my name is Rak-el, Angelic Commander for my Lord Torm. I and my master are glad to see so many mighty warriors so willing to make the first charge. Meet me in one day at the southern most exit of this cavern, and we shall make our way towards the front lines of the dark armies. With that, she leaves. ((All charcters going on to fight, please make your final moves over the weekend here in the inn. The first charge will be a separate thread that I will make Monday night.)) |
| god the giant04-09-05, 03:35 PM | Donny nods, and even though he said he does not believe in the power of gods he shows a great deal of respect.he looks at Kito" please when chris and nezumi come up please give them the lockets. i must kelnoreem(meditate) before i fight. i will meet you all at the designated point. if you need me hold your locket in your hand and think my name. after doing this a temporary link will be forged between our minds." with out another word Donny takes off his cloak folds it and leaves in on the table. with lightning fast movement he dashes out of the inn heading for the point of combat. |
| Arcuna04-09-05, 03:43 PM | Someone's eager. I may as well go, too. Jake puts the locket in one of his pouches, nods to Heimosu, and disappears in a thick puff of smoke that dissipates (spelling?) in a matter of seconds. |
| god the giant04-09-05, 03:46 PM | (( it should only take donny about 5 minutes to reach the exit. hey LT you made me wait six pages i better see heavy combat.please please please please please?????? good thing im not the only one going to fight i would hate to be alone. oh yeah to whom ever is not coming see you soon. remember use the locket if you need to.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-09-05, 04:42 PM | Ehhh, whatever. Kito quickly hands the lockets to Christopher and Nezumi. He walks back up to the ground floor of the inn. He zips through the door, ready for battle. On the way, he clutches his holy symbol, a tome. Guide me, Hlal. |
| god the giant04-09-05, 08:03 PM | (( not to sound negative but i hope that there are more then 4 of us. and i mean player characters. i really think we should start to use the occ thread, i mean isnt that the point of having one.)) |
| god the giant04-09-05, 08:51 PM | ((this is for future refrence)) ((when anyone arrives at the spot donny is hanging upside down in meditation. when (who ever) gets there just say his name and he will come down.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash04-10-05, 09:58 AM | ((Sheesh, this from the guy who said we should use the OOC thread. Get my drift?)) |
| god the giant04-10-05, 09:40 PM | (( last one. im going to use the occ thread my bad.)) |
| Arcuna04-10-05, 09:55 PM | Heimosu puts his locket in a pouch, as well. It's getting late, so I'm going to get some rest. If anyone needs me, I have one of Donny's lockets with me. He puts [the proper room fare] on the counter, heads upstairs and enters the first available room. |
| god the giant04-10-05, 09:58 PM | A full armored samurai walks in and walks to a table. he takes off a helmet that has the name mirumoto on the back. mirumoto turns and bows" i am mirumoto, samurai of the dragon clan. it is an honor to meet you all. please may i have a room? i could use about 15 of meditation." |
| god the giant04-12-05, 07:23 PM | bump |
| Arcuna04-12-05, 07:45 PM | Heimosu stops before he reaches the stairs. Hello. My name is Heimosu. Since the owner of the Inn isn't here right now, I'll get you set up with a room. Heimosu hands Mirumoto the room key he had just picked up, then goes to get himself a new key. It's getting kind of late, so I'm going to take a quick nap. Please excuse me. |
| god the giant04-12-05, 09:04 PM | " thank you, i will rest for a short time then come and see what help i can give to the Gods." |
| Lord Tarran04-13-05, 06:37 PM | Christopher finished making his way back into the common room. Sending a welcome telepathically to Mirumoto, as well as a thank you to Heimosu, the telepath made his way up the stairs to his the room he shares with Nezumi. Opening the door with his mind, and then shutting it again and locking it behind him, the innkeeper lay his love upon the bed. He sat for several minutes watching her sleeping figure, holding her hand lovingly, before closing his eyes, just to open them a moment later glowing silver. He was now within Nezumi's mindscape, as she entered his. Closer than any mortal couple could ever be, the two Chosen shared their experiences for the past hours, catching up with one another as Nezumi's body recovered from the huge expenditure of magic. I'm proud of you, love,The son of Selune confides. But next time ask for help, I wouldn't want to lose you, ever, but especially before our spirits are linked to beyond death. We could have been wed, already, Christopher. All you need to do is ask. This war needs to have no bearing on us. In his mind she looks him over. Just ask, dearest. Both left their trances at the same moment, sitting before each other awake. He smiles at her, before saying, Not yet, Nezumi, not quite yet. He kisses her once, before standing , the door unlocking and opening before him. She watches with a satified smile, before going back to sleep. Christopher is smiling as he makes his way back behind the bar. Throwing open the doors with a mental push, the innkeeper sits confident that new guests will arrive. |
| god the giant04-14-05, 08:38 PM | mirumoto goes to his room for about 5 minutes then comes back down looking well rested. walking to the bar looking at christopher" excuse me good sir, but why are all these gods assembeled here? i passed many more warriors then a have ever seen outside, which entails that there is either a huge problem or it is a some odd warrior convention that i have never heard of. would you mind xeplaining this to me." |
| god the giant04-17-05, 06:05 PM | bump |
| god the giant04-19-05, 07:31 PM | "well would someone mind explaining all this to me?" |
| Lord Tarran04-26-05, 09:45 PM | Well, Mirumoto, the gods and their armies have arrived in order to send the devil king Asmodeus back into the Hells, after he brashly rose from them with his armies to try to take Faerun. My inn, and that of my cousin John are being used as basis for the independent sentients who will be fighting against the devils, but not wishing to march with the main columns. Any other questions? |
| god the giant04-27-05, 04:22 PM | " i indeed have another question. how many other guests are here besides the gods? and do you have any holy water?" |
| Master_of_Flames05-07-05, 10:15 PM | Two elves, one female and the other male, walked in at perfect unision. on their cloaks was the symbol of the daggerspell gaurdians. They sat at a table and waited for a bartender to come over. "this new assignment is very peculier." the male elf said. "indeed. why would the guardians be interested in the affairs of the gods? it just doesn't make sense, it is beyond their training." the other elf said. |
| Arcuna05-07-05, 10:39 PM | ((Glad to see that this thread is still alive. I apologize for not posting sooner; with finals coming up, my study and homework loads have increased twofold.)) Heimosu walks downstairs and sees the newcomers. He walks over to their table. As he walks past Mirumoto, he says, I have some holy water with me. I'll get it in just a second. As he walks up to the elves, Heimosu says, Greetings. My name is Heimosu. Can I get either of you anything to drink? |
| Master_of_Flames05-07-05, 11:12 PM | The male elf looks up. "I would like some firebrandy and my sister would like some frostwine." he says before turning back to thier conversation. |
| Arcuna05-08-05, 01:23 AM | Give me just one moment. Heimosu walks into the kitchen and rounds a corner. He gets out the two bottles, and also takes down two glasses. Then, he looks over his shoulder. When he is sure no one can see him, he puts his hands about a foot apart, palms facing each other. An orb of white light appears for a second, then fades, revealing a vial of holy water that hovers just long enough for Heimosu to gently grab it. He then carries the five containers into the common room. He sets down the two glasses at the elves' table, pours their respective drinks, and then hands the holy water to Mirumoto. He looks at everyone and asks, Anything else I can get any of you? |
| Master_of_Flames05-08-05, 01:34 AM | "thank you" the two elves say in perfect unision. "as i was saying sister, throwing the guardians into a war ma not be the best plan. I have looked into it from the pool, and there is very little chance of winning the war." The male elf said, taking a sip from the firebrandy. "but what if we send in the elites? they have the abilities to knock out the key points and may be enough." the female said in return. |
| god the giant05-08-05, 11:16 AM | mirumoto takes out a rag from a small pouch on his belt, puts both his swords on the table and cleans them.after cleaning them for about three miuntes he goes over to greet the new guests. "it is an honor to meet you my elven friends. it is nice to see new faces around here since the war puts a small damper on everyones spirits." |
| Master_of_Flames05-08-05, 06:12 PM | "indeed. My sister and i where discussing-" The male elf was cut short by his sister. "- Whether to bring the Guardians into the war. The fame gathered would-" "-Help the guild grow. We could spread the guilds influence to other planes." |
| Jaded_Garnet05-15-05, 12:07 PM | Nezumi drifts through sleep, a deep healing sleep that takes her far from reality. Her breathing is slow, soft, and gentle, the rise and fall of her chest a slow rhythm, as is her heartbeat. She doesn't stir at all, and all seems placid in her thoughts and mind. Yet no dreams manifest... ((i'm glad to be back and even more grateful to resume playing as Nezumi!)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash05-15-05, 06:11 PM | (I never really worked out the chosen thing, but I swear with the focus of a Modron that I won't god-mod her.) The inn door slowly opens. A hooded figure walks in, and walks over to Heimosu, who looked reliable. The figure pulls back the hood, revealing the young face and long black hair of an elven girl. She has a worried look, and speaks quickly. "Sorry I'm late, these caverns can mess up one's mind. Anyway, where is Kito? Taeldrin has another letter for him." |
| Arcuna05-15-05, 06:37 PM | Kito left, along with several others, to serve as the first wave of defenders in an oncoming war, led by Asmodeus. I'm sorry, but you just missed him. Heimosu holds out his locket to her. If you need to contact him, though, you can use this. He has one as well; any two people holding one of these has the ability to forge a temporary mental connection, or so I'm told. I've yet to use it, but you're welcome to try it out. |
| god the giant05-15-05, 07:58 PM | "dont worry they work." mirumoto reaches under his armor and pulls out a locket, the same yet different from the ones donny handed out. "donny must have gave them to you,he only gives them to people he would trust with his life.you have a newer version.the version i have was compromised two years ago when our fourts were attacked by forces of the minotaur.they have a certain energy, one given off by its creator.i created this one and all the ones our forces used.donny made new ones when our forces were beaten and had many lockets taken.mine has a connection to about fourthousand soldiers but i dare not use it because it would alert the minotaur to our presence." mirumoto pauses then after a few moments asks a question"have any of you seen a giant? his name is God,my second in command along with donny.i need the two of them to reunite our forces to begin another campaign against the minotaur." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash05-15-05, 08:34 PM | "Sigh, thanks. By the way, my name is Linian. I will return this in a minute." Walking to a corner of the room, she opens the locket, and speaks into it. "Hello, Kito? This is Linian. Taeldrin sent another message. It went something like this: 'Kito. Whatever you do, do not rely on your magic. The fortress you are charging is nearby to a city where the gods are appearing just as quickly. Wild magic zones are descending into the underdark due to erratic divine power. Any magic will quickly have you or someone else ground into fine, fine powder. Feel free to alert anyone else about the wild magic.'" She snaps the locket shut, and returns the locket to Heimosu. "Thank you. Just one more question. Where is the prepriator for this inn?" |
| Jaded_Garnet05-15-05, 08:40 PM | Nezumi slips out of her sleep and lies there blinking for a few moments. Then she pulls herself up and out of thier room, gracefully coming down the stairs to peer across the Inn. She spots Heimosu and a lady talking amongst each other and smiles to them, crossing the floor. "Hello, miss," she greets, and then with a gentle nod, "Hello Heimosu." |
| Arcuna05-15-05, 09:29 PM | Heimosu first turns to Mirumoto. Calmly and quietly, he says, I am sorry, Mirumoto, but God died roughly an hour ago. We attempted to save him, but he contacted us only a few minutes after and told us that he was fine, and that we shouldn't try to bring him back. This may come as harsh news, but in reality, he has ascended to a new form of existence with untold power and understanding. For the time being, it's probably for the best. It's a pleasure to meet you, Linian. My name is Heimosu. ((Heimosu would answer your question, but technically, Chris is in the room, so I'm not exactly sure what to do about that, since it would appear that LT has temporarily abandoned us. :weep: )) Hello, Nezumi. It's good to see that you are conscious again. Will you be okay? Can I get either of you anything? |
| Jaded_Garnet05-15-05, 09:37 PM | "I'll be quite all right. You, Heimosu, look somewhat exhausted though," she replies, glancing about the room and noting how many people are present. She turns to the woman, Linian, and asks kindly, "Are you in need of anything, miss?" |
| Arcuna05-15-05, 10:07 PM | Now that you mention it, I am a little. I think I'll sit down and rest for a second. Heimosu walks into the kitchen, and comes back out with a glass of what appears to be the same kind of cider he used to be so fond of. He sits down at the table nearest Nezumi and asks, If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing in the basement? Though he knows what's down there, his emotions and speech patterns do not imply in the slightest that the "basement" is out of the ordinary. |
| Jaded_Garnet05-15-05, 11:42 PM | "Ah.. I was just making sure things were in order," replies Nezumi casually, adding some hints of emphasis in her words. Her amiable talk and pleasant smile betrayed her tired mind, even after her brief slumber. She steps lightly into the kitchen, getting herself a simple glass of water. |
| god the giant05-16-05, 03:24 PM | atonished mirumoto seems to hold back a tear "this new is indeed heavy on my heart. if you will excuse me i must make a call." mirumoto pulls out a second locket, the same as everyone elses.he holds it tightly"donny can you hear me. D-yes i can hear you old friend.M-when were you going to tell me God was dead?D-well i didnt believe that you would be able to find me so quickly...i was thinking how to give you the news.M-WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDNT THINK I WOULD FIND YOU FAST!!! I AM AN EXPERT HUNTER." mirumoto breaks the link between him and donny and in the process crushes the locket in his hand.he turns to go to his room and as mirumoto turns a tear slides down his cheek.he tries to turn his body so everyone else wont see this and ruin his tough samurai image. he obviously is having immense trouble dealing with the news. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash05-16-05, 06:56 PM | Turning to Nezumi, Linian steps back in suprise from such a sudden ("I think") entry. She shakes her head. "No, not at the moment. So, do you run this establishment?" She ponders for a moment. "Actually, wait a minute." Linian walks into a corner of the room. Muttering an incantation, she continuously peers over her shoulder, in case anyone is watching. After a few seconds, a pale flask of water appears in her hand. Returning to the group of people, she quickly downs the water, and slips the flask into her cloak. She turns to Heimosu again. "Sorry to bother you again, but did you say Kito was going into a war with the fiends?" |
| Arcuna05-16-05, 07:17 PM | It's no trouble, Heimosu says with a smile. Yes, Kito went with several others to fight off a horde of devils. They are being led by an angel, named Rak-el, who will take good care of them. Assuming Kito is as potent in combat as he appears to be, he should have no problem. He takes a sip of his cider, and then asks, Forgive me for eavesdropping, but did you mention something about them being in a wild magic zone? If so, I should alert my friend immediately. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash05-16-05, 08:24 PM | "Yes. Taeldrin also said something about them being even more erratic than usual due to divine interfernce. If there is so much extraplanar evergy in the area, Taeldrin thinks it could lead the area to...I don't get it, but he said 'Fold in on itself'. He sounded worried. I think telling your friend would be a good idea." |
| Arcuna05-16-05, 09:32 PM | Heimosu's eyes widen in fear. He quickly regains control of his emotions, grips the locket tightly, and concentrates for maybe ten seconds. Afterward, he becomes more relaxed. I have alerted my friend. Everything should be okay now. Thank you very much for the warning, he says warmly. |
| god the giant05-16-05, 09:43 PM | "i need to gian control of my emotions.....i never wanted to hollar at donny.i never thought God would....d....die.i have triggered a strong weapon against one of my friends.i know in my heart that its not donnies fault God is dead.i would like to apologize and if anyone here believes i have dishonored my self just say so and i will willingly take my life." mirumoto draws his katana and awaits the order.he will only do this is some tells him to. |
| Arcuna05-16-05, 10:01 PM | Heimosu reacts quickly, but calmly. There's no need for suicide. The last thing we need is another death, especially in this crucial time. Besides, losing you would only make it harder on Donny and Jake, so if for no one's sake but theirs, please, don't let any harm come to you. |
| Lord Tarran05-16-05, 10:16 PM | Christopher comes out of his stupor to speak venomously to Mirumoto. Don't do anything that stupid, samurai. I would hate to lose such a valuable warrior in this time of need. You will have plenty of time to regain your honor in the war to come. Worry not now. A mug of ale flies from the kitchen to Christopher's waiting hand. He hands it to the samurai, ordering with a glare that the fighter drinks it. He quickly turns to the others in the room, responding to the questions asked. I am the owner of this inn. My name is Christopher Seluneson, and this lovely specimen of a female is my co-owner, Nezumi ((What is Nezumi's last name?)). Heimosu here helps me out with the runnings of this place when I am otherwise distracted, and any question when I am busy can be deferred to him. Now, I heard mention of wild magic zones. Worry not, my friends, our friends are in no danger from the effects of the fluctuating power. Mystra remains unharmed for the moment, and the massive divine presense will balance before Rak-el and her forces arrive at the fort. If nothing else, Rak should be able to balance the effects of the zones, assuming she kept the amulet I gave her all those years ago. He glances to Nezumi, speaking to her in guarded thought, only heard by him and her. How art thou, dearest? I can feel that you have yet to recover fully. Please, sit. I'll get you something to drink. Cobra Venom sound ok? A glass of deep black liquid lands on the counter near Nezumi. Why do you look at me like that over Rak? I knew her in a different life time, a different place. What is wrong? |
| Taeldrin Laesrash05-17-05, 10:02 AM | "This 'Rak' may be able to balance the wild magic around Kito and the rest, but what about mages who aren't with us? I've heard that the gods use much magic. Oh, and, hello, Sir Christopher." |
| god the giant05-17-05, 10:04 AM | a smile comes over mirumotos face"to tell you the truth i was kinda hoping you would say that.i owe the two of you my life and one day will find some way to repay you."mirumoto gently puts his katana back into the sheath. |
| Jaded_Garnet05-17-05, 05:49 PM | Nezumi smiles gently as the introductions take place, then once sitting down, she sips at the tasteful glass of vemon. "I am well Christopher, darling," she replies softly in thought to him, "Do not worry yourself so much." Nezumi appears completely calm and reserved on the outside, her only concerns seem to stay bottled up deep down within herself: The gods and goddesses... this war... her fellow companions and their health... and of course, Chris... She glances at Mirumoto and is relieved to see his distress vanish. "I've rested long enough... there must be something that I can do to help... Chris?" she exclaims, standing up from the table and looking to Christopher. |
| Lord Tarran05-17-05, 06:32 PM | There is not much to do, honestly. Until our companions return from the charge on the fort, we have nothing to go on to know exactly what we are preparing for. From what I can feel in the air, the Gods and their commanders are beginning to move into that beautiful stronghold you built. The only other thing I can think of Nezumi, is to possibly see if my mother is willing to talk right now. He pecks her on the cheek as he walks behind her to hug her around the waist. He looks over to Linian. Lady Linian, good to see you. Well, the opposing creatures of magic will benefit just as much from the amulet, I suppose. But, honestly, I wouldn't be too worried about that. What I am expecting to happen at that fort will be nothing of any worry at all. |
| god the giant05-17-05, 08:20 PM | "christopher i must ask, how do you think our charging friends will fair?if you dont think they are powerful enough i will gladly offer my services as a warrior to the charge.just say the word and i will depart." |
| Jaded_Garnet05-21-05, 01:27 PM | Nezumi nods, remembering the quarters she had created. "All right then," she whispers, upon hearing that there isn't much to help with. She welcomes his warm touch and remains beside Chris as conversation is exchanged to and fro. |
| god the giant05-22-05, 09:43 PM | "if you will excuse me there is someone i must contact.i believe that i will send my troops to attack the minotaur.if i dont he will surely make his way to us and bring unneeded death to innocent people on the way.i will be back in one hour.i dont want to allow him to now of this location.it would be against my moral code." mirumoto begins to walk out of the inn to rally his so called army to attack his most hated enemy. "dont let anything to fun happen while im gone.remember one hour." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-02-05, 10:39 PM | "Thank you. By the way, is this place really an inn? Or is this place a war base disguised as one?" Linian begins to chuckle, but then just sighs ather own bad joke. "The point is, is there some place I can get some rest?" |
| Lord Tarran06-03-05, 07:30 AM | Christopher sighs, realizing that many travelers through this area will get the same impression that Linian did. No, this is an inn, first and foremost. What can I get you? |
| god the giant06-03-05, 03:25 PM | mirumoto walks for a half hour makes his call and then begins to make his way back to the inn it will take a half hour to get back as he said it would.on the way back he desrtors the locket so no one else can trace it. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-03-05, 06:45 PM | "Just a room, the trip here was pretty exhausting." |
| Jaded_Garnet06-04-05, 10:31 AM | "You'll find most of the rooms just upstairs. You'll also find that they're quite accomodating," replies Nezumi after being silent for some time, rather glad that another traveller had come in to stay. She smiles again, a meek, gentle smile. |
| god the giant06-04-05, 11:45 AM | mirumoto comes walking in with blood all over him.there is a stab wound in his chest."i need some first aid, please."he falls on the ground in pain. |
| Arcuna06-04-05, 03:44 PM | Heimosu runs over to Mirumoto, glad to be able to help with something (although he realizes that this is not something to be joking around about). Heeding Jake's and Avernus' words, he only casts a weak cure spell. There. The wound is closed, but you will need additional healing, and some rest, before you are fully recovered. What happened? |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-04-05, 04:03 PM | Linian runs toward the fallen fighter. She looks at him, then at Heimosu with a woried face. "Oh my gosh, what happened!? I wish I could help, but I don't have any healing magic." |
| Arshes06-04-05, 07:06 PM | Perhaps I can help then. A robed figure says, red eyes glowing from beneath the hood. But I do not give my services freely. One of you must give a payment... The figure removed his hood to reveal a shockingly pale elven face. He smiled a bit, revealing long cananines, almost like fangs. |
| Lord Tarran06-05-05, 12:48 AM | We need not the help of a vampire, Chris said threateningly, as he walked to Mirumoto. A wave of his hand brought blue, healing light to the wound, stiching up the cut as if it had never been. He turns to the vampire then. State your business bloodsucker. I will not deal with monsters like you kindly if you choose to be otherwise. |
| Arshes06-05-05, 12:52 AM | Vampire? You insult me! I am merely half a bllodsucker. The other half is elf. I only need an ounce or two, and in return, your friend will be as fit as a dragon. If you don't need my help, then i can get blood some other way. The elf said, the glow in his eyes dimming and turning a darker red. |
| Jaded_Garnet06-05-05, 10:38 AM | Nezumi blinks her luminiscent eyes once, frowning slightly as she suddenly notices the half vampire come out of nowhere. "Have my senses gone bad?" she speaks telepathically to Chris, half jokingly half serious. She glances down, strands of dark hair falling in front of her face, and then glances back up and over at the gathering... awaiting the newcomer's words with anxious interest. |
| god the giant06-05-05, 12:42 PM | "the last thing i want is help from a vampire.now on the part about what happened,as i began to walk back to this fine inn i was confronted by 4 male drow fighters.they demanded all my money as a toll for using their road.i wanted no part in a fight,so i gave them all my money.i only had a gold piece so they demanded my swords.this was unacceptable so i drew my blade and said they would have to kill me for them.well they tried, two charged right away whos heads hit the ground rather quickly.the other two charged to a flank.i got the one i front of me with one shot and caught the one behind me with a quick backstab.so i thought the fight was over until a drow thief jumped down from the shadows grabbed my undrawn sword and took one quick stab right to my chest.he said"your life is enough pay for me" and dropped my sword next to me and walked away.thank god he was so confident i was dead.i do feel bad for killing the other 4 though.they were just lost souls.i dont feel much pain anymore thankyou both.just a little sore now.i should have never let my guard down.i have lost and my honor is taken so i may have to take my life now.to follow the code of the samurai. " |
| Arcuna06-05-05, 03:23 PM | I do not know the code of the samurai that well, but in my opinion, killing yourself would only dishonor you more. You may feel ashamed now, but look at it this way: if they were not going to leave without a fight, then you did the only thing you could with that little time to think. I probably would have done the same. But I am surprised at the thief in your story; it's not like a drow to simply assume that their enemy is dead. Either he had some very important business to attend to somewhere else, or he was just being clumsy, but either way, I would consider you lucky. And luck like yours shouldn't be wasted, Heimosu finishes with a smile. As for you, bloodsucker, I advise that you watch yourself here. We won't turn you away, as long as you do not make any attempts on our life force, as it were. The next thing Heimosu says is very unlike him, both in tone and in word choice. He is obviously uncomfortable about the situation: I have a gut feeling that you will very soon get the chance to suck all of the devil blood you could possibly want... Please excuse me for a second. Heimosu walks to a nearby table and sits down. He takes out his locket, grips it tightly, and closes his eyes. After a few seconds, he comes back. Jake says the fighting hasn't yet begun, but they will arrive at the fortress relatively soon. |
| Arshes06-05-05, 06:29 PM | If you do not stop calling me by the name bllodsucker, I will give you a very painful death. As I said, I may be half-vampire, but that is not a doing of my own. You can thank my father for that. And as for devils, I don't drink the life essence of a fiend, be it devil or demon. Arshes said, closing his eyes as his hair started to float. And as for you samuria, I would suggest a change in career. Once it is known that you have been shamed in battle, your swords will be broken and you wouldn't be allowed to be known as a samuria. Perhaps you should try the lifestyle of a ninja. A friend of mine will be along here shortly to discuss a trade. His hand pulsates with energy and a bottle of wine floats out of the kitchen with a drinking glass. Just tell me the price, and i will pay you for the drink. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-05-05, 07:18 PM | "Don't take your life." Linian quickly whispers to Mirumoto. "I'll bet you can redeem yourself." She turns to the vampire, and gives it a stern glance, but with a tinge of fear. "And just who are you, fiend, to drop in suddenly and act all high and mighty?" |
| Arshes06-05-05, 07:27 PM | I am no fiend, for not one drop of outsider blood lies in my veins. And I came here to meet with someone becuase we wnated to make a trade, outside the ears of the drow. And seeing how a wizard, curse thier kind, made it so I cannot leave the underdark, I was forced to come here. |
| Arcuna06-05-05, 08:44 PM | Forgive us for our hostilities, but when someone is greeted with a request for some of their blood, they tend to react unkindly. But let's not worry about what's already been said. Unless you would rather keep it private, what business do you have here? What, exactly, are you trading? |
| Arshes06-05-05, 08:58 PM | A certain artifact with similar powers to the annulus, but it works on arcane wielders. Arshes said, taking a sip of the wine. A voice came to murimoto, one that sounded shockingly like Arshes's Draw your blade samuria, give me some of your blood. The voice came in a commanding voice. ooc: please note that i am not trying to god-mode. my character is merely using control body. |
| Arcuna06-05-05, 09:00 PM | Without hesitation, Heimosu says, You intend to kill the wizard who is forcing you to remain in the Underdark. His tone implies that he is making more of a statement than a question. |
| Arshes06-05-05, 09:05 PM | Not just the wizard, but all wielders of the arcance. Arshes took another sip. You see, my villiage that I grew up in was decimated by a war between two sorcerers. Only a few survived, and those that were left were attacked by the werecreatures and the vampires that surrounded the countryside. Because of that, I had taken a vow to avenge my family. The voice grew demanding now, Cut yourself now! give up your blood for the greater good. It will redeem you. |
| Arcuna06-05-05, 09:21 PM | ((Ooh, somebody has a hidden agenda... :P )) Isn't killing all wielders of the arcane going a bit too far? I mean, with power which rivals the annulus, can't you restrict your wish to simply kill those who opposed you and your families? I mean, I can understand why you would hate the arcane arts -- they can be very destructive -- but arcane magic can also be used for good. For instance, this locket (Heimosu produces the locket that he recently acquired) allows me to keep in touch with my friend, simply by thinking. He puts it back around his neck. |
| Arshes06-05-05, 10:07 PM | And yet there is some arcane powers that can raise armies of undead. Oh, and I wouldn't suggest traveling anywhere for a while. Arshes said, more wine bottles floating over to him, some of various brands. ((thats right, a drunk half-vampire elf psion who has slight precognative powers and telekinesis. i think we all know what comes next, a bar fight! :D )) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-05-05, 10:26 PM | "Very nice acting of yours. First you come asking for blood, then you anounce that you are to kill users of the arcane. And now-!" Linian, still furious at the vampire, puts her two first fingers to her forehead. She rushes over to Mirumoto, and she puts her hands to his head. "-You're trying to dominate us!" "Don't worry." She whispers to Mirumoto. "I'm casting a spell to free you from the mental bonds." |
| Arshes06-05-05, 10:37 PM | He wished for an end to his life anyway. Fine then, iwhy don't we have alittle dual then. If he wins, his honor would be restored and my life would be forfiet. If I win, I get his life-energy. Arshes said, standing up and removing his cloak. On him was silver colored armor. There was no weapon seen, instead his fists glowed with energy. Various crystals sat in a pouch on his side, and his arms were decoreated with tatooes. ((intimidating, isn't it?)) |
| Arcuna06-05-05, 10:43 PM | Heimosu gets up and walks over to the bar, apparently wanting no part in this fight. He whispers to Chris, Are the barriers still in place? I'm just itching to take this guy down a couple of notches. ((Sounds like your character knows what he's doing. This fight should be fun. :) )) |
| Arshes06-05-05, 10:48 PM | I only have one request before we begin, lay out daggers along the tables. Arshes said, focusing his energy into his fists. He needed life-energy soon though, he had not had any since he drained that foolish thief a little ways back. ((the same thief? mybe.... :D, oh, and you should see the all psionics campaign that i'm dming. two soulknives, a wilder and a psion. and one of the soulknives is a kobold. )) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-06-05, 09:20 AM | Linian, very nervously, sits up from Mirumoto and faces the madman. She clenches her fist. "Fine. I'll fight you, and I'll use arcane magic to." She calls to Heimosu, "I know you want this freak, but I believe he was talking to me." (What so great about a kobold? I've played them tons of times.) |
| Arcuna06-06-05, 02:22 PM | Although he does sit down and decides not to fight, he says, That doesn't matter. If people in this Inn are in danger, I'm going to do what I can to help. For now, I'll simply watch. |
| Arshes06-06-05, 04:41 PM | An arcnae user? I will have no choice but to fight to the death then. I cannot let another arcane user live. Arshes said, a sphere of blue-white energy forming in one hand. I am not madman. I am merely a simple person trying to carry out revenge. Besides, the life energy I drain from someone always returns with a full nights rest. It's not like I would be giving him a mortal wound. (( a cookie to who ever can guess what the power i'm about to use it)) |
| Arcuna06-06-05, 05:01 PM | Heimosu smiles. I wonder what the gods will have to say when they come downstairs and find that you're looking to kill anyone and everyone who uses arcana... |
| Lord Tarran06-06-05, 06:24 PM | Christopher closes his eyes, as a field of null energy passes from his body. Everyone tingles slightly as all psionics and magics are supressed within the inn. The innkeeper glares at the half-vampire. You will now stop trying to influence the minds of those around you. Failure to comply will result in you never getting a chance to recieve the artifact, as you lie in a bloody heap before the gods outside. I have little patience for those who feel the need to use their powers for personal gain and no other reason, and one who steals from me is given less quarter. That'll be 500 gold, by the way, and a blast of psionic energy ripples the air as it reaches for <Arshes character whose name I should know because it is required to post the name when the character is first put into play>. If it contacts a slap like feeling shall ring through the half-vampire's body a slap in the face. Now are we willing to behave, young fool? ((One last bit and then use the OOC thread everyone. Please try not to violate FoD, and keep this as realistic as possible and in with the setting. Remember, the Inn is also my character, and all things happening within (including the movement of objects such as wine) is controlled by me. Thank you.)) |
| Arshes06-06-05, 07:18 PM | It seems I may have to go elsewhere then. My body lives primarily off of the support of psionic energy. With a anit-psionic field in place, i grow weaker by the second. Thus, I cannot be here. Arshes said, walking out of the door after putting his cloak back on and setting a bag of gems on the table that he was at. (( my character never carries gold around, only gems.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash06-07-05, 09:18 AM | Linian's body trembes for a moment out of fury, but she lets it all out in a single large sigh. She slowly walks to the stairs nearby, and up them. "Finally, a soft bed for resting. Hopefully that-that madman won't come back. Call me if something happens." |
| Jaded_Garnet06-07-05, 04:30 PM | Nezumi nods to Linian, eyeing the 'madman' suspiciously. "Chris? What do we do with this one?" she asks softly. |
| Lord Tarran06-07-05, 07:08 PM | Well, dear, assuming that he behaves himself and makes sure he does nothing stupid, we do nothing. Christopher watches Arshes leave. If he fails, we remove him. |
| god the giant06-14-05, 09:44 PM | with a deep, deep hate in his voice"blood sucker if you need a fight why not fight the little samurai who couldnt beat some drow.please, turn and fight for you have dishonored me and by the code of the samurai i have the right to exact revenge."mirumoto draws his two bloody swords and gets into a fighting stance unknown to any((except those of you who can read his mind and know it is his own created stance))."please...come to the last fight you will ever have!" |
| Darshendros06-20-05, 08:33 PM | A spark of light flashes a few feet above the ground, a small distance away from the tavern, holding still in the air for an instance before exploding into a dazzling array of dancing lights. The sparkles fade before hitting the ground, falling around the figure of a human looking figure, crouching in place where the spark had flashed. The man had long, white hair that fell over his face and draped down his back and shoulders, and wore a dark cloak that covered the rest of his features. He rose slowly, wavering a bit on his feet, seeming to be disoriented. A gloved hand moved out from under the folds of his cloak and up to his face, brushing back his white locks. Crimson eyes fell upon the tall structure before him. "A tavern?" Darshendros murmured, wondering what a tavern was doing out here, wherever here was. He then remembered the events leading up to the present, and the spell he used that was finely tuned to bring him to any random tavern, if any, that existed on the world he was visiting. Otherwise, the spell would have spat him out in some random location, like a bog swamp littered with ravenous pygmies. Darsh shuddered at that memory. Darsh performed a thorough check of his belongings and gear. He wore a robe-like garment underneath his cloak, black with crimson trimmings and custom tailored to fit snugly against his lean physique (think Neo's suit from the last two Matrix sequels). A leather belt wrapped around his waist, from which hung a sword that appeared in all likeness to be a katana. The pommel was wrapped in a dark leather substance, with four curved prongs at the butt clinging, like a claw, to a chromatic orb the size of a human eyeball. The hilt had another four curving barbs, which looked more like talons, curling up from each corner with the tips toward the blade, sheathed in a polished black saya. Leather boots adorned his feet, which scuffed softly along the ground as Darshendros made his way to the tavern, oblivious to the confontation that was brewing inside. |
| god the giant06-24-05, 06:25 PM | mirumoto stops and looks at the man walking towards them"looks like a nice sword.i hope you dont want to step in,but if you must help him i like fighting against the odds.if not you can just watch the bloodsucker DIE!!!!!!!!!but really it looks like a nice sword." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-01-05, 10:24 AM | (OOC: Psst. God, the 'bloodsucker' is gone.) Linian walks into one of the inn's rooms. It seems very homely. The accomodations are simple: A small bed in one corner of the room, a firepit, and a table and chair. The bed looked inviting, but Linian realized that her anger at the strange mage-killer had pumped her adrenaline. She shrugged, and thought for a moment. Walking towards the table, she pulls the chair to the desk, and fumbles around in a small drawer on the table she sits down. Unfortunately, there was nothing but a single piece of parchment. She sighed, and walked back to Christopher. "Do you have some ink and a quill? I need some." She asks. |
| god the giant07-01-05, 10:45 AM | ((i did it as he had just gotten up.just as he walked out.)) "well guess you dont want to fight.but you know if i was you i would have been afraid of me to." mirumoto puts away his swords reluctantly and steps back in to the inn and sits at a table."i wonder how are friends are fairing? christopher would you happen to have any sake?i could use a refreshing drink." |
| Darshendros07-01-05, 04:32 PM | Darshendros stepped inside, glancing over his shoulder and looking a bit irritated. If it wasn't for the fact that he was still adjusting to his new surroundings, he would have ripped off the bloodsucker's head to shoving passed him in such a rush. He wondered what had frightened it so much. Looking around inside, Darsh got his answer. If it wasn't anyone working as staff, then it surely was the big man with the two bloody swords. "Just like home," he murmured quietly as he strolled over to the bar to see what there was to order. He soon regretted it. As soon as he stepped inside, Darsh thought he felt something suddenly missing. Magic. With the anti-magic field in place inside the tavern, his illusionary disguise, as well as his polymorphed form, were both nullified. The common room was now filled with the colossal form of a grumbling, withered skeleton of a red dragon, smelling of sulfur and death, curled up with bony wings tucked in as close as possible, trying to take up as little space as he could spare. "Who puts a bloody anti-magic field inside a tavern?!" Darshendros growled in his raspy voice, hollow eyes glancing about. "You're lucky I'm already dead!" Darsh wondered how long it would take before his body started falling apart from the absence of magic. Hopefully it wouldn't at all, but he'd never tested that particular limit before. He usually avoided dead magic areas. |
| Arshes07-01-05, 04:40 PM | ((its the fact that Arshes needs to be able to absorb the psionic energy in the air, or he will die. when chris nulled psionic and magical energy in the tavern, well you get the idea)) Adrinth silently walked into the tavern. He was wearing a dark elf disguise, but that most likely wouldn't help him around these people, if the rumors were true of course. Excuse me, how much is it for a room? He asked, going through his money pouch. |
| god the giant07-02-05, 10:41 AM | "just a question mr.grumbling, but are you a little cramped."mirumoto explodes with laughter at his extremely dull and corny joke."im sorry i couldnt help my self." mirumoto stands up and walks to the man at the bar with a less the greeting look"is there something wrong? you seem to be nervous.i wonder why." |
| Arcuna07-02-05, 03:54 PM | Heimosu runs into a back room, and soon Darshendros can feel the flow of magic again. Quickly, he comes back out, and says, Trying to disrupt an antimagic field from within it is like trying to empty a lake with a dagger. However, as the caster is far more powerful than I am, the field will be back very shortly. If you would please polymorph again and then follow me, I could show you to a space that should be much more comfortable to you. And a room is five gold pieces per night, he says to Adrinth. Just place it on the counter, and I'll get you a key in just a moment. |
| Darshendros07-02-05, 04:59 PM | Grateful to feel reconnected to the flow of magic before he started falling apart, Darshendros murmured some quick words under his breath and his form soon changed back into the human figure that had originally stepped inside the tavern. He disregarded the human's lame humor, figuring something will come along to eat him sooner or later. That's how karma worked. "Well, now that the cat's out of the bag," he mumbled, glancing around and straightening his clothes before following Heimosu. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-02-05, 06:35 PM | (OOC (Since the OOC thread osn't here now): LT, where are you?) (OOC 2: The heck? Adrinth is in Eye of Deception, Arshes. How is he here and in Sigil?) |
| Lord Tarran07-03-05, 01:06 PM | ((I'm right here. My summer job has b-slapped me, but I should be ok now. But Arcuna is in charge when I and Jade can't get on.)) Christopher walks away from Nezumi, parting slowly, to make his way to behind the counter, next to Heimosu. Five gold a night, Adrith. And let down the disguise please. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-03-05, 11:52 PM | "So, do you have some ink and a quill? I need to write something." Linian catiously eyes the newcomers, making sure no more crazed, vile, malefactors come. |
| god the giant07-04-05, 12:52 AM | "well i have some ink but no quill.your welcome to use it if you like."mirumoto takes out the ink, walks over to linian and hands it to her"here you go.you can keep it if you like,i have extra." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-05-05, 01:48 PM | "Thank you. I just realized that I probably don't need the quill, I can make one myself." Linian hurried up the stairs, grabbing an empty wine bottle on the way up. Back in the room Christopher showed her, she sat down at the desk. Casting a spell, a thin line of wool Linian had pulled out of her cloak. Speaking of the cloak, it was getting very hot in it. Linian sheds the cloak and places it on the bed. Under her cloak is a sleevless tunic of a radiant emerald color, wth utilarian traveler's pants of the same color. She returns to the desk, pulls out a paper in a drawer, and begins writing. Dear Nael, How are you since the last time we talked? I will discuss myself later in this letter. In the meantime, I congradulate you on gaining the position of Court Musician. Your flute-playing skills were always masterful. Nevertheless, be careful. Remember that if a Seelie noble finds you appealing, they'll take you to their estate, and have you play for them forever. But besides that, it should be very fun to once again mingle with the fey, and the endless celebrations. I have found myself in an interesting situation. Kito had told me that he would be wandering the Underdark. A bit later, a letter from Taeldrin came requesting that I go to an inn called the Darkhole. After three days of wandering Faerun's vast and very confusing caverns, I came across the inn. The crowd here is very diverse and wonderful. However, by the time I arrived, the owner of this inn, a man named Christopher, had told me that Kito had gone to fight an infernal army. I fear that I may have stumbled onto something very big. However, I will do my best to remain calm. I can only hope that you and Kito will both suceed. Your sister, Linian With the letter finished, Linian rolls up the parchment. Casting another spell on the empty bottle, it transforms into a cylindrical container. Linian slides the letter inside it, closes it, and walks down the stairs. She walks to Heimosu, the container behind her back. She asks him innocently, "Is there some kind of delivery sustem here? There's something I need to send." (OOC: Remember, noone except Linian knows the contents of this letter. They can ask about it though.) |
| god the giant07-05-05, 05:06 PM | "i trust you had enough in for what ever reason you needed it.but may i ask why you have what ever that is behind your back?you dont have to answer if you dont want to.im just curios." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-05-05, 06:17 PM | "Oh, this?" Linian gives Mirumoto his inkwell back, then looks at the container. "It's a letter to my brother. It's been years since we've seen each other. We were wrongfully exiled during a political revolution in our homeland. I never found Nael, but he kept us connected with letters. While that went on, me and a friend ended up traveling the world, eventually coming back to end the revolution. I wonder where he is now..." Linian sighs and stares into space for a moment. |
| Daleah The Faithful07-06-05, 08:17 AM | Daleah peeks inside a dust covered window. |
| Arcuna07-06-05, 08:36 PM | ((I am terribly sorry for my absence; what was initially a four hour party turned out to be a five day visit at my friend's house. And LT, my character's name isn't Arcuna, you know... :P )) Heimosu leads Darshendros down to the extradimensional ((or is it just in a large cave area?)) amphitheater, which is currently somewhat crowded becuase of the armies residing there. Darshendros shouldn't have much trouble being comfortable, however. Because of the antimagic field, I'm not sure what you should do in the event that you need something. I'll talk to the owner and ask him if he could arrange to either lift the field or give you a method to remain polymorphed. Hopefully, you won't have to remain down here during your stay. I'll be back shortly with an answer. Heimosu makes his way back up to the tavern area and sits across from Chris at the bar. Quietly, he says, I don't know if he's a lich or just a bone dragon, and I'll admit that I don't generally like either, but the antimagic field will make his stay difficult. Perhaps you could lift the field and we could just keep an eye on him? It's not like his needs are any stranger than those of the rest of us. |
| Darshendros07-07-05, 07:02 PM | Darshendros glanced around the extra-dimensional amphitheater while patiently awaiting an answer about the anti-magic field. He still wondered why one would be needed, but those thoughts were set aside as he gazed upon the armies dwelling in the room. He glanced back the way he came, and then back to the gathered force, questions coming to mind, and perhaps some answers. It certainly explained the anti-magic. He wouldn't want unwanted eyes spying upon his army either. "Interesting," he purred. |
| Lord Tarran07-08-05, 09:29 PM | ((Those of the gods)) Chris suddenly remembers the prescence of the field himself, and slaps himself once in the forehead. Clapping his hands together once and saying something in a strange dialect of Celestial, the weight of the field drops away. I had totally forgotten I had opened up the field. He should be fine now though. He looks down at his feet for a moment, as if thinking. He starts slwoly as he asks Heimosu, Also, while you are down there fetching him, could you find the forces of Lord Oghma, and Lady Sune if you see her's, and ask the gods to come see me. Christopher seems to have suddenly remembered something that was bothering him. He shuffles from foot to foot, as he walks to stand behind the counter, absently polishing it with a new cloth. |
| Arcuna07-08-05, 10:20 PM | Can do. Is...something wrong? Heimosu asks. |
| Lord Tarran07-08-05, 10:42 PM | Chris shakes his head. No, no, it's nothing. I just... I need to speak to them, and can't leave this inn at the moment. |
| Arcuna07-09-05, 03:10 AM | Fair enough. Heimosu heads back downstairs, spots the dragon, and walks over to him. The field is gone, Darshendros. You should find that you'll be able to polymorph again. If you'll excuse me, I have other matters to attend to. Heimosu finds both armies after searching for a few minutes ((assuming Sune's army is there, too)) but rather than seek out the gods Chris has sent for, Heimosu prays to them instead. When caught off guard and left with no other choice, he is willing to speak to them, but seeking out a god, a god, is an entirely different matter. And since the message still gets through, he doesn't see a problem with it. |
| Lord Tarran07-09-05, 11:04 AM | In their respective camps (yes, they are both there), both Sune and Oghma look up from their work. Taking a moment to both listen to Heimosu, such a strange voice magically to hear in prayer to Toril gods. Then, excusing themselves to their nearby servitors, the two gods make their way towards where Heimosu is praying. Both have changed their forms to be bearable to human eyes, appearing as their godly forms, just toned down. Sune stands Heimosu up to look into his eyes, not reading his thoughts, just mereing to peer into the man's eyes. She stands back from Heimosu, her sensuous body for once not squirming attractingly. What appears to be the problem with Christopher? She says over her pouting pretty lips. |
| Arcuna07-09-05, 03:18 PM | Heimosu feels his stomach turn as the gods approach him, but doesn't try to resist (regardless of how futile his efforts would be) when he is lifted up and looks into Sune's eyes. He sent for you two; I didn't ask why. But judging by the way he's acting, I'd guess it's about Selune. She has been out of contact for some time now. |
| Darshendros07-09-05, 04:39 PM | Rather than immediately return up to the now-magically-safe tavern above, Darshendros lingered around downstairs to watch the happenings. It's not everyday one gets to set their eyes, dead or living, upon the gods, and underneath a tavern of all places! Curiouser and curiouser he became, a trait that often led him into trouble. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-09-05, 06:33 PM | Still clutching the container with the letter, Linian walks over to Christopher. "Is something wrong? You seem...distracted." |
| god the giant07-10-05, 02:01 PM | mirumoto walks to an uninhabited corner and starts to talk to what would seem to be no one.an arguement seems to begin between mirumoto and who or what ever.mirumoto grips his sword extremely hard."you will do no such thing."he says this loud enough for everyone to hear."no...this cant be true.why would you do this?"mirumoto starts to cry tremendously not caring who is anywhere near him. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-16-05, 12:58 AM | Linian runs to Mirumoto, trying to get him to speak. "Are you okay?" She asks repeatedly. And to herself, "What is going on? Tensions are getting high." |
| Lord Tarran07-16-05, 02:54 AM | Oghma and Sune glance at one another, then towards the roof. They hummed with magic for a moment, before becoming normal once more. Oghma spoke, She does seem to be off this plane, and I can't detect her anywhere with the Weave. However, I don't believe Christopher would send another, even a close friend, to relay that. Lead us to him. We shall ask him personally. |
| Arcuna07-16-05, 03:49 AM | As you wish, Heimosu says with an elaborate but sincere bow. He silently heads upstairs and brings the goddesses to Chris, not daring to say anything that would seem the slightest bit out of place. |
| Lord Tarran07-17-05, 11:28 PM | Sune and Oghma enter the inn along with Heimosu, immediately going to Christopher. Chris smiles wanly when he sees them, turning around to enter the kitchen, motion for the gods to follow, but not Heimso. I thank you, my friend. He echoes into Heimosu's head, as a barrier of silence encases the kitchen. |
| god the giant07-18-05, 05:09 PM | "i have left my son in the care of my brother.he was training to become agreat warrior to hopefully one day join my side in battle.but apparently the minotaur some how found out i rallied my troops.as a counter measure he killed all of my clan who were not engaged in battle aginst another clan.my brother did his best to defend my son but there were so many opposing warriors that i only took six minutes for them to kill the majority of my clan.he took one of our lockets and told me he had my son, and would kill him if i did not show up with in the next three seconds.so now my so is dead and i am leaving to kill the minotaur to avenge th death of my son." mirumoto seems to be crying as he leaves the inn"you will most likely never see me again.i am almost sure i will die in battle to avenge my son."with that mirumoto sprints away in a rage. |
| god the giant07-18-05, 05:26 PM | a huge gray thing comes walking through the door.he seems to be pure rock."my name is grim and i was wondering if this was a place i could get i good stiff drink and maybe a place to crash." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-18-05, 05:50 PM | ((OOC: Good God, God, how many characters are you going to go through?)) |
| god the giant07-18-05, 05:58 PM | ((mirumoto wasnt supposed to be there that long it was only gonna be an in and out kinda thing.i just never decided how to get rid of him till now.this character i had planned when God first died.this should be the last one.)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-19-05, 09:53 PM | (OOC: If you insist. BTW, have you the Fantastic 4 movie recently?) "Oh, ah, hello." Linian looks to the door, and at the strange rock-man. "The barkeep is right over there, and a room is five gold pieces a night. Speaking of which." She runs over to Christopher. Turning to the gods, she deeply bows. "Is there something I can do? I sense a dire feeling here." |
| god the giant07-19-05, 09:59 PM | "ah good"grim walks over to the bar."how is you,i am grim and would like the toughest drink you have.if its not to much trouble, could you put it in a strong metal cup,i seem to crush most metal cups." ((good movie.did you like it?)) |
| Taeldrin Laesrash07-30-05, 09:31 PM | (No. I'm just noting your Thing rip-off, er, character.) Linian runs up to the two gods, bowing deeply to Sune and Oghma, then to Christopher. "Is there anything I can assist with? By the way, we have a new guest." |
| god the giant07-30-05, 09:40 PM | "ah could i ask why i feel all tingly?like there is a ton of magic around.oh...never mind that was a dumb question, this must be a stronghold for the big war i heard about.alot of wierd things i have heard." grim takes off his trench coat showing his whole grey body with many pieces missing.they would seem to be slash marks from swords. ((okay maybe it wasnt that good but thing was cool.i play this character in my D&D group.hes alot of fun.oh yeah sorry LT,we should be using to occ thread.)) |
| Arcuna10-23-05, 07:49 PM | Heimosu shifts uncomfortably in his seat. Grim, you have obviously seen many a fierce battle. Perhaps we could convince you to help us in said war? We need all of the help we can get, even with the might of the gods at our side. |
| god the giant10-24-05, 09:17 AM | "hmm... well,im not in what you would call mint condition any more but ill help.i was going to track down an amulet of great power, but if there is a war going on it may be a good idea i make sure the good guys win.you are the good guys arent you? |
| Arcuna10-24-05, 07:22 PM | Heimosu smiles. Unfortunately, there is no good guy. War happens because of conflicting intentions, and it's all a matter of whose intentions best match your own. In this case, we are the defenders; Asmodeus is massing his armies and preparing to attack our world. If you want the balance of the planes to remain equal, and I hope you do, then our intentions best match yours. As for your body's condition, I'm sure there is plenty that this Inn's collective spellcraft could do to aid you. |
| god the giant10-25-05, 05:00 PM | "well balance is good,so that makes you the good guys.but there is no way for this inn tp heal these wounds.i fought a great battle with a race of turttle warriors.they were being attacked by a minotaur and his monions so i jumped into help.what i didint know was there were weapons there built purposely to destroy me.now the damage to my body is unreversible, that i why i seek the amulet.it will restore me to full strength." |
| Arcuna10-25-05, 07:27 PM | I see. So you're related to God and Donny, then. But if the might of the gods themselves cannot restore your body, what makes you think that an amulet can? Is there an artifact, short of the Annulus, that contains that much power? |
| god the giant10-25-05, 08:06 PM | ah yes god and donny, the news of god's death made me very sad.the amulet i seek was forged by the ancestors of donny and his family.both of our families had been friends for generations.the amulet was made to restore my family, they were mutated by and anciet curse put on them by an enemy unkown to any one but them.it was a ninja trained in magics of the purest evil.but when he found out the amulet was forged he stole it and hid it.it is believed in my family that if the eldest son of the head of the family was to put it on the curse would be lifted.so i will be changed to another form,i dont know what it is but it i a risk i am willing to take. |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin11-04-05, 06:57 AM | Ssin'urn Streea strolls into the inn with a swing in her step, her thigh length hair flowing around her form like a snowy white aura. The dark elven female sits at the bar, crosses her shapely legs, and places her hands on the counter. She orders a glass of the finest Morimatra. |
| god the giant11-05-05, 11:03 AM | hello drow, what would be you buisness here? |
| Taeldrin Laesrash11-06-05, 10:01 AM | (OOC: Has anyone seen Lord Tarran around? I tried to PM him, but his inbox is full.) |
| god the giant11-06-05, 10:20 AM | (( we were hanging out last night, but he is usually so damn busy.he doesnt have it sent to his email so he hasnt checked it in a long time.ill call him when he wakes up and tell him to check it.)) |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin11-18-05, 03:25 PM | hello drow, what would be you buisness here? At that moment another dark elf enters the Inn. He is slightly taller than his Matron and has the look of a warrior. The male Drow is wearing a great sword, a breastplate decorated with dwarven bronze, and arm braces articulated at the elbows that sheath his thick, charcoal black muscular arms in heavy gleaming steel. His stark white hair is shaved close to his scalp. Next to him stands another female Drow. Her long silver hair is neatly braided, draped over her shoulder. On the other shoulder of her tunic are five embroidered scorpions proclaiming her rank. She is wearing glossy black adamantine chainmail made up with tiny scorpions, and a hand crossbow on each wrist. Her fingers and arms are adorned with silver bands. She signs angerly at the male with broad sweeping strokes and seemingly profane gestures. Ssin'urn Streea sees him stride through the front doors of the inn and she glares hard back to him, brushing snow white strands from her fine featured face. When she speaks the sound of her voice is like dripping water with echo like inflections upon the wind. Her snowy fringed eyelids lower and her lips press into a small natural pout. The dark elven female draws her white tresses over her delicately pointed ear and turns her eyes to another behind her with a burning glare of rage. "Dos waele teladinea wael! Dos shlu'ta naut malar, dos drital saph natha dwen'del, lu't'sek d'obsul natha obsul'e dos pahntar dosst norrs menah ulu beldro natha daewl wlalth. Ka Usstan xunus naut zhaun alur dos inth ulu doer ghil pholor dros'he." (You stupid drunken fool! You can't fight, you drink like a dwarf, and instead of opening a portal you open your mouth wide to produce a wish spell. If I did not know better, you planned to come here on purpose.) The dark elven woman returns her sultry glance to god the giant and again orders a glass of the Underdarks finest spiced Drow wine.. "Morimatra." |
| Taeldrin Laesrash11-20-05, 09:51 PM | Linian turns towards the newcoming drow, and walks toward the counter. She hides her long ears behind her hair, tyring not to be seen as an elf. Fumbling around with the bottles of varying sizes, she finally settles her hand on one. Unable to read the language on it, she shrugs, and places it and a small glass in front of the drow. She casts a sending spell to Heimosu, and asks, How much is it for one of these wines? I cannot tell which one I gave to the dark elf, but could you suggest a price? |
| Arcuna11-20-05, 10:10 PM | Heimosu looks over at the newcomers, trying his best to be nonchalant about it. My Drow is far from perfect, but if I'm reading the label correctly, it's two gold for a single glass. ((My apologies if my price for Drow wine is completely off; I have no idea of what it really is.)) |
| Lord Tarran11-21-05, 10:32 PM | Within the barrier of silence, Christopher, Oghma, and Sune talked animatedly. No noise reached the outer reaches of the inn, as it became clear that the three were realizing most horrible news. From outside, it became clear that Chris was crying. His body shook with the pain of whatever the three had though of. With a wave of his hand, the barrier came down. The gods exited before Chris, bowing once to him, before leaving to return to their troops. Christopher Seluneson came after them, moving about, getting Sin her drink. "No charge, my lady. Too much pain to charge for relief," he said slowly, the normal sparkle lost from his voice. |
| Arcuna11-22-05, 06:07 PM | Heimosu looks over at Christopher. Though he uses no telepathy, his eyes' message is clear: Is everything okay? |
| Lord Tarran11-22-05, 06:40 PM | Christopher's eyes showed his pain easily. He merely shook his head no. |
| Arcuna11-22-05, 07:17 PM | Heimosu averts his eyes. Privately to Chris, he sends, I'm guessing that it's something important. What has happened? |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin11-30-05, 03:21 PM | Within the barrier of silence, Christopher, Oghma, and Sune talked animatedly. The male Drow warrior flashes an eerie smile to Taeldrin Laesrash, the elf and winks. Ssin’urn Streea briefly considers Chris's countenance and nods drawing her thigh length hair over her shoulder. The exotic dark elven woman sips from her glass. She does not seem to be particularly interested in talking with anyone at all. The male Drow orders the strongest drink available as he takes a cigarette from his piwafwi, putting it to his lips. The dark elven female snatches it away instantly and crushes it in her small ebon hand. "Dos xenu uns'aa xuil dosst s'ck i'dollen lu'n'nehr taga bwael z'lonzic xund.Ol orn'la tlu natha ssrigg'tul ulu raza dosst rinteith ghil lu'nin ulu dormagyn uns'aa ulin p'leik. Ajak, ol zhah er'griff a ussta orn nindel dos dro.” (Pharaun, you sicken me with your bad habits and less than adequate performance. It would be a pleasure to slit your throat here and now to save me future grief. Remember, it is only by my will that you live.) The other female smiles wickedly running her tongue over her teeth as she watches, twisting a silver ring around her thumb and slowly swinging her foot under her bar stool. Pharaun lowers his head as he sits there quietly looking very dejected in a state of shamed and broken humility as he waits for his drink. |
| god the giant11-30-05, 03:28 PM | "dont yell at him.so you are a drow female, what makes you so high and mighty that you can order him around?and dont tell thats just the way it is."he walks to the drow male"pick your head up and have a drink with me,you do not need to be talked down to." grim seems angry about the way drow men are treated,or maybe he just needs a bottle, and a nap. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash11-30-05, 07:58 PM | Linian, walking slowly and shakily, goes up towards God. She whispers in his ear,Don't speak out too much. The drow are mean, but they can do horrible things. She quickly walks towards Christopher, and tries to comfort him. Does the war go badly? If it affects this inn, I think you should tell us. |
| god the giant11-30-05, 08:38 PM | as linian gives him the advices he says to her as she walks "ill make a mental note of that."turning his attaention back to the drow female "so what do you want to do to me?physical harm is what i mostly get from drow.i hope thats not what your thinking cause the scars on my body were all made by drow thinking the same thing." |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin12-03-05, 11:46 PM | as linian gives him the advices he says to her as she walks "ill make a mental note of that."turning his attaention back to the drow female "so what do you want to do to me?physical harm is what i mostly get from drow.i hope thats not what your thinking cause the scars on my body were all made by drow thinking the same thing." The drow priestess raises an arched brow and tilts her head back, allowing her snowy white hair to cascade over her shoulder. The exotic dark elven female smirks for she understands common perfectly well but prefers to speak in the dark tongue of the Drow. ''Vel'bol inbal Usstan ulu xun xuil dos?" (What have I to do with you?) Her pale lifeless lilac eyes glance over the rim of her glass slowly tracing over the length of god the giant's form. Mmmm...Dos orn'la morfeth natha yugho tizzin." (Mmmm...You would make a nice lizard mount.) Ssin'urn Streea lowers her eyelids, savoring the scent her wine. The dark elven female then draws her white tresses over her delicately pointed obsidian ear. Just over one of her dark shoulders faint ash colored tattoos can be seen on her flawless charcoal black skin much like smokey elven calligraphy. They appear to have been burt into her flesh like scars. She turns her eyes to grim, glancing upon his face through the strands of her thick white tresses. Her voice is soft and low, thick with the dark accent and smooth in all seriousness leaving no doubt that she is not playing one of her games. "dont yell at him.so you are a drow female, what makes you so high and mighty that you can order him around?and dont tell thats just the way it is."he walks to the drow male"pick your head up and have a drink with me,you do not need to be talked down to." grim seems angry about the way drow men are treated,or maybe he just needs a bottle, and a nap. "Usstan tlun dosst sslith ramoth. Usstan tlun l'ilythiiri dosst ilhar della dos bauth nindel veldrinn wun l'rath d'dosst shar feithin ulu zotreth dos harl." (I am your worst nightmare. I am the Drow your mother should have warned you about that hides in the back of your mind waiting to strike you down.) She wraps her small graceful ebon hand around the base of her glass and slowly takes the wine into her mouth. Danifae, the other female Drow at the end of the bar, is staring down Pharaun with bright red eyes like fiery hot coals. She doesn't remove her eyes from the male Drow to look at the other patrons. Ssin'urn Streea slowly licks the taste of the wine from her sensuous dark lips. Her cold lilac eyes drift back over to Pharaun while tracing her index finger along the rim of her glass. She passes a quick look to Danifae. Pharaun sits there passively sipping the dreggs from a silver flask as if it were the only escape from the burning glares of the two angry Drow women. He finishes mushroom whiskey and again tries to order a drink from the elf behind the bar. His eerie smile widens as he drinks in the sight of her while tapping the flask on the bar. The alcohol lingers on his breath like the stench of death on a rotting corpse. The deep lines on his face reflect years of abuse and neglect. Wether of his own doing or not, the man looks too old in the face compared to the perfect fitness of his body. The two Drow women continue to stare the Drow male down. |
| god the giant12-04-05, 11:17 AM | "my worst nightmare?im shaking im my rocky skin.the drow my mother warned me about are all dead cause i took them out.yet you still havent answered my wuestion what makes you so high and mighty to talk down to him?and i would lower that bow, chris wont allow a sinlge shot to be fired and he wont let me smash you into the ground so you are safe in here for now." grim makes a fist and stands up,he is extremely angry"but we could always step outside." |
| Arcuna12-04-05, 05:10 PM | Heimosu gives up with Chris for the time being. He rises from his seat and walks between the two of them. Look, the two of you could argue all day about who is stronger. Frankly, I think that I could take both of you down if I played my cards well. Regardless, your argument does not help our situation. There is an old Human saying, "United we stand, divided we fall." While I'm not exactly what most would consider human anymore, I always have held that saying to be true. Once this war is over, the two of you can fight for all of eternity as far as I'm concerned, but raise your weapons against each other in this time of crisis, and you may have the loss of your races' lives on your consciences as well. Grim, I'm not saying I condone that woman's actions, but that is simply how their culture works. But this is a safe haven, blessed with the presences of a great variety of gods, and if for no other reason than respect for them, I would have you relinquish your torturing hold over him. Heimosu then turns to the two women. With a near-flawless accent, and reasonably good vocabulary, he says, F'sarn natha y'sik gareth shar sargtlin, usstan. Udos orn'la inbal zhennu kl'ae d' dos wun nindol thalack. Orn'la dos fre'sla a udossa lu' malar qua'laen Asmodeus' fashkan? ((I would have said "potent psion", but nothing of the sort was in their list of words. I tried "tough", "powerful", and "telepath", too.)) |
| god the giant12-04-05, 07:46 PM | using all his might, controling his anger and not wanting to hit heimosu he says with his voice trembling "i know that it is how it works, but it is not right."slowly he calms down towards heimosu, but not his drow argueing opponent"you are right heimosu, this is not the place nor time..... and by the way i speek fluent drow." he turns so only him and heimosu can hear him "im sorry for that,i should not be angry with you.i would not fight now with the circumstances, but i dont know how much longer i can hold my anger." he hands heimosu a dart "if i attack her hit me with this and it will knock me out cold.if my anger hasnt blown threw the roof,if that happens stop me cause i may do something i will regret." he walks to the other side of the bar and says under his breath "damn dorw i should just finish off every last one of them. verin j'nesstren " |
| Arcuna12-04-05, 08:18 PM | No one ever said it was right, Grim, Heimosu says sympathetically as he examines the dart. It's just different. |
| god the giant12-04-05, 09:03 PM | "just a word of advice, dont poke yourself with that our you sleep for a month.its enough to take out a blue mature dragon, same for me.once this war ends im gonna go back to the small section of the under dark i control and make sure no drow ever step foot there again."grim seems more calm now that heimosu has agreed with him"good to know im not the only one who thinks its wrong." (his small section has none drow inhabitants and its near his hideout.kinda like a batcave.just if anyone wanted to know.) |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin12-04-05, 09:35 PM | The dark elven woman is not carrying a long or short bow but merely is arching a snow white eyebrow. :schemes: Nevertheless...she is wearing a small crossbow on each wrist. Ssin'urn Streea smooths her small ebon hand along the length of her thigh to fold back the seam of her piwafwi revealing her scourge of vipers writhing around her waist with tongues flicking in and out wildly. The dark elf then first answers Grim's question. She seems frail, delicate, and willowly. The beautiful Drow narrows her lilac eyes to mere slits and with a subtle but lovely smile holds back the impulse to laugh at his comment. The fiendish serpents of her whip hiss in turn as if they too found something amusing. She finds his beligerent attitude and condescending behavior intriguing and possibly a sign of something potentially beneficial. She pauses as if she were waiting for something, speaking softly under her breath in incoherent chanted phrase, leaning forward resting her nimble ebon hands on the bar. She soon looks back up to her inquister, her pale lilac eyes faceted within long feathery curling opened white lashes, her lips curve naturally in a lusious pout. "Zhah ol naut z'lonzic nindel dosst valyrin inbal skrel udossa areion z'lonzic p'leik? Ele l' isintol wun uns'aa? Xun dos naut inbal byr chaon ulu ptau'a ulu taga ulu degahr uns'aa xuil dosst mizil'ros?" (Is it not enough that your kind have put us through enough suffering? Why the sudden interest in me? Do you not have other business to attend to than to trouble me with your questions? ) Noise does not rouse the drunken Drow but it is the silence that disturbs him. After downing the last of the contents of his "liquid courage" Pharaun awakens from his lethargy finding himself in the same posture, with his chest bent over the bar, his head lying flat on his arms. Pharaun still feeling the heated stares behind his back raises up to unleash his deeply pent up frustations, becoming increasingly belligerent with the staff and obnoxious toward the barmaid. He glares at the elf, being verbally abrasive about the lack of service. His drunken wavering voice growing louder, offending anyone within earshot. Ssin'urn Streea sends a hard glare sharply back to her handmaid, Danifae, who is still watching intently at the end of the bar. The expression of her face reveals that something is about to happen. Danifae gladly recieves the silent instruction of her Matron and smirks, tilting her head with a dignified air as she boldly strides across the room and steps outside to get away from the ever increasing slow build of an ugly scene. She places her black gloved against the doors of the inn, tracing her nimble fingers along the outside wall as she lowers the cowel of her piwafwi and disappears into the shadows. Heimosu gives up with Chris for the time being. I tried "tough", "powerful", and "telepath", too.)) Ssin'urn Streea's lifeless lilac eyes slowly make their way up along Heimosu's body as he speaks. She wraps her small graceful ebon hand around the base of her glass and slowly takes the wine into her mouth, remaining quiet. The dark elf again looks down into her glass, tracing her slender fingers along the rim in contemplation of his words but the ongoing rantings of the drunken drow set her off. The male Drow scoffs at the elf woman by the bar and raises his voice above the other patrons. Pharaun then begins cursing in the dark tongue with a slur to his accent and flailing his arms around in jerking movements while talking to himself. Ssin'urn Streea raises her pale lilac eyes, casually sets her wine on the bar, and gently slips her slender dark form like a shadow between Heimosu and Grim. The dark elven female strolls up behind the drunken Drow warrior she calls Pharaun. The dark elven woman strategically places her foot on the top supporting rung of his barstool between the toe and spiked heel of her boot, waiting until he leans forward one more time. Pharaun reaches forward across the bar again to harrass the barmaid. With a hard, swift blow Ssin'urn Streea pushes the barstool over with her foot causing the Male Drow's chin to crash onto the bar as he falls out from under the barstool landing on the floor. Ssin'urn Streea takes the writhing scourge of vipers from her waist. The drunken male Drow lay on the common room floor looking up to angry red eyes of three hissing serpents. Their mouths are wide open with fangs bared, dripping with poison. These black and diamond back vipers strain and writhe against the whip handle from which they grow. Ssin'urn Steea stares down at him with tightly restrained rage. A death stalker scorpion moves out from behind Ssin'urn Streea's neck and crawls down the curve of her chest and along her slender dark form. It drops down by Pharaun's head as the dark elven female turns back to her seat, calmly winding the serpants around her waist. She orders another glass of spicey drow wine and crosses her shapely legs, watching the male drow now passed out on the floor. With a satisfied smirk she looks back to Heimosu, admiring his moxy. "Vel'uss zhah nindol Asmodeus' fashkan dos telanth d'lu'vel'uss ph'udos" nindel daewl whol ussta klath'ra?" (Who is this Asmodeus' fashkan you speak of and who are "we" that wish for my service?) She removes a small adamantine tube from behind her pointed obsidian ear, twirling it around in her fingers. |
| Arcuna12-04-05, 10:31 PM | ((Hmm. My apologies. That was supposed to translate as "Asmodeous' forces".)) Trying to ignore the way the woman is treating her slave, Heimosu answers her question. Asmodeus zhah l' yah d' Uoi'nota. Uk zhah beldraein natha hiran fashka lu' zhah orior ulu thrityh udossta zik'den'vever. L' "udos" d' vel'ussa Usstan telanth zhah l' ilharnen d' nindol El'inssrigg (mzil d' vel'ussa, 'zil Usstan fridj della, ph' phraktos) vel'uss inbal, whol l' mzilst aglust, dryss'ho ghil ulu malar qua'laen ukta. (Asmodeus is the god of Hell. He is building a massive army and is preparing to attack our plane. The "we" of whom I speak consists of the patrons of this Inn (many of whom, as I previously stated, are gods) who have, for the most part, gathered here to fight against him. It isn't so much a question of who you want to help as much as it is a question of whether or not you love your home. Will you fight with us?) |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin12-05-05, 12:38 AM | All the groggy dark elven male can see is a glimmer of light reflecting off her shiny adamantine spiked heels as Ssin'urn Streea strolls away from him with a cat like grace. She responds again casually to Heimosu. "Ji, Usstan tlun jhal natha dhyn wund phraktos.. Usstan inbal nau delmah, l'Quarval-sharess uriu keffal ulu nindel. Vel'bol bwael shlu'ta natha dhyn xun wun klath'ra ulu phraktos vel'drav jal nind ssinssrin zhah ulu ku'lam wun yorn lu'ilstar wun klath'ra ulu nintan 'zil nind ssinssrin?" (So, I am but a mortal among gods.. I have no home, the Goddess has seen to that. What good can a mortal do in service to gods when all they want is to rise in power and rule in service to themselves as they desire?) She says this with much distain and an impudent expression, though not directed to Heimosu as a personal insult. Her perfect statuesque face changes breifly to an expression of sadness not semmingly fit for a beautiful drow while tilting her glass thoughtfully to sip of her drink. Pharaun moans and groans as he shifts his body on the floor. He begins to speak in a drunken stooper... "Evagna uns'aa olath wenress.." With this sudden outburst Ssin'urn Streea tips the last of her Morimatra and places her glass on the bar. She strolls over to the drunken mass of dark elven male sprawled out face down on the floor and kicks the side of his head. Pharaun moans and speaks incoherently. Ssin'urn Streea lowers her lovely fine featured face with an impudent glare. Her eyes glimmering with red sparks against the charcoal black of her skin. The scorpion crawls back up her heel, along the length of her form to hide underneath her thick snowy mane. The Drow priestess coos softly in the dark exotic tongue of her people. "Mmmm.... dos saph ulu.....telanth, siyo? " (Mmmm....you like to.....talk, yes?) With an increasingly excited, savage grin and an odd sparkle in her now flaming lilac eyes she places her boot to the base of his neck. The Drow lowers her eyelids and playfully rocks her foot adding and withdrawing pressure as if to let him know she could snap his neck if she so desired the pleasure to do so. Ssin'urn Streea gracefully waves her hand with a beautiful song like chanting and slowly crouches down, leaning closer over him to whisper softly into Pharaun's ear. "Ji, dos ssinssrin ulu jivvin nibeless xuil uns'aa xun dos?" (So, you want to play games with me do you?) The Drow staddles his back, digging her spiked heels into his sides as she wraps her small dark hands around his neck, literally choking the male drow. Pharaun is finally able to pry her hands free. Ssin'urn Streea slips her hand into a breast pocket within the inside of her cloak and taking a posterior segment of a scorpion's body, stuffs it into his mouth at the same moment he gasps for air. From behind him she wraps her hand over his mouth and presses her form tightly to his, struggling against his writhing body and holding his mouth closed until the transformation is complete. Pharaun's dark elven body contorts wildly, rippling like waves on a restless sea as it slowly changes form. Ssin'urn Streea lifts the little death stalker scorpion he had become and slips him inside a fold of her piwafwi. The beautiful drow raises up from the floor, licking her lips and tossing her thigh length hair as she gracefully glides back to her seat at the bar. |
| Taeldrin Laesrash12-05-05, 09:19 AM | Linian, while glad that the drunken elf is not at the counter anymore, is a little more than disturbed concerning what the female drow has done to her companion. Walking from behind the counter, she stays a safe distance away from Ssin'urn. Do...Do you need a room for the night? It's five silver pieces per day, Linian says. |
| Ssin'urn Streea Ssinjin12-05-05, 09:53 AM | Ssin'urn Streea's gaze turns to Linian with a slight wave of her hand and nod of her head as a gesture of dismissal. She does however take a few silvers from a small leathery stringed pouch around her neck, centered at her chest and places them on the bar for her drinks. The dark elven female continues to appear fine in features but quite her despondant demeanor. | Arcuna12-05-05, 05:59 PM | Heimosu's look of slight distaste does no justice to the revulsion he feels at the sight of the drow's transformation. For the time being, however, he knows that he can't do anything about it, as Grim also seems to have transformed. Stop! he shouts. The boy isn't dead! He's just...changed. Take one more step and I promise you won't see daylight for a long, long time. |

| Arcuna12-06-05, 05:16 PM | Heimosu has not calmed down at all. Instead, he turns to Ssin'urn. What in the name of The Absolute have you done to that man?
