Anyway, I was thinking back to when someone nominated Gideon for an award, 'cept the award didn't exist. I am now starting this thread in the hopes that I can actually get these awards. Here's how it's gonna go down: I will have a list of categories. You can nominate one person (not yourself) to each one of these categories. After a week or so, I'll host a vote, and the ones who win will get the award. *Hopefully*, I can speak to the Omnipotent WizO Shadow, and maybe arrange a reward for the winners. After this award show, there will be a set of lighter-hearted awards. The Categories are: Best Roleplayer (Overall) - Best Newbie (Joined since January 1, 2006) - Best Battle (Awarded to a particular fight, link the fight) - Best RP Thread (Thread Owner gets the award, link thread) - Best Backstory - Best Descriptions - Most Original - Have a blast. Must beg Shadow for a sticky now.

Best Newbie (Joined since January 1, 2006) - Considering the Battle Royale started on 08-25-06...EVERYONE!!!!! Best Battle (Awarded to a particular fight, link the fight) - Hmmm...not one I was even part of, I take it...in that case...I'm gonna have to say Tyrion vs Valoran (Bahamut and Gareth). From the little bit I saw (I'm a bit behind...:embarrass), it was quite impressive. If I can nominate a battle I was in...Tyler and Inaya vs. Harmond and Bob. Come on...you know you loved it :D Best RP Thread (Thread Owner gets the award, link thread) - So far, with so few...Sorcen, with the Battle Royale. I think he deserves this one. :D Best Backstory - Gareth (for TYLER VICI. I love how that character's developed, and pulled backstory into the RP as it goes) Best Descriptions - Lord Gareth...again. Revlis and Bahamut come in a close second. Most Original - Toss up. Gareth or Revlis. I can't decide. There we go. Let the winner of each catagory have a (insert stylish prize-looking symbol here...when I find one...unless anyone knows a good one) to put in his/her sig along with their prize. Best Newbie (Joined since January 1, 2006) - I had no clue that's when it started, but Gideon's right. Everyone does their best around here to keep this thread awesome and interesting. Best Battle (Awarded to a particular fight, link the fight) - Battle vs. Caben Duur. It got it's own freakin' thread. Best RP Thread (Thread Owner gets the award, link thread) - Battle Royale threads I and II, obviously. Sorcen rules the Map of the Planes. Best Backstory - Aww, now I have to read stuff? :P Uh, I don't know, I'll have to edit this one. Best Descriptions - Once again, you or Gideon. Toss up Most Original - Honestly? I'm going to go with Larz Fang. He controls a nice variety of original characters.

Anyway here's my opinions: Best Roleplayer (Overall) -Gideon, with honorable mention to Gareth. Best Newbie (Joined since January 1, 2006) - Gideon answered this one. Best Battle (Awarded to a particular fight, link the fight) -I actually liked the Korone vs Chros battle if that even counts. Best RP Thread (Thread Owner gets the award, link thread) -The Battle Royale threads collectively, awarded to Sorcen. Best Backstory -Its a tie between Sorcen for his namesake character, Revlis for his namesake character, and Larz Fang for The Ripper. Best Descriptions - Gareth with honorable mention to Gideon. Most Original -PartyTricks for his Triumvirate Illithidae.

Best Newbie (Joined since January 1, 2006) - I'm not going to repear what everyone else has said, so... ditto. Best Battle (Awarded to a particular fight, link the fight) - I thought that the Tyrion vs. Valoran battle was pretty phenomenal (but that's just me ;) ), but all the Caben Durr Battles are up there too. Best RP Thread (Thread Owner gets the award, link thread) -The Battle Royale threads, since there are none better yet. Best Backstory - I don't know... There's a lot of really good backstories out there, I'll have to cruise around the roster and look at some of them. Best Descriptions - Gareth and Gideon tied neck and neck with me a close second (I had to be a little arrogant :D ). Most Original - Gareth's character Tyler. I thought that even rivaled my idea of a demonic vorpal rabbit from hell.
