| WizO_Theeb03-12-04, 12:38 AM | ((This thread is a continuation of the chat storyline relating to the investigation of the murder of Apathy member Sharp Mullberry. The main purpose of this thread is to cover the interrogation of suspects and witnesses by Marshals Theeb, Aoset, and Nashira. At the momment, this thread is restricted to the three I mentioned, and whoever is being interrogated. That said, this storyline is by no means restricted. If you wish to be involved in it in the chats (were most of it is taking place anyway) send an email to Myself, Aoset, or Nugan. or simply talk to us IC or OOC when you see it us on the chats. )) A large oak table spans the back wall of a moderate-sized wood-paneled room. Behind this table is three large oak chairs with the symbol of the balance carved into thier backs. In front of the table, facing it, is another, smaller oak chair. Otherwise, the room is largely empty, and window-less. The room is brightly lit with artificial light that seems centered in the middle of the room, but has no real decernable source. There's a small wooden door behind set on the back wall, behind the table, and another large set of double-door on the other side of the room. |
| WizO_Theeb03-12-04, 12:43 AM | A kobold man pushes open the smaller rear door, and steps into the room. He walks over to the chair on the left, frowns at it for a momment, then grasps the bottom of its seat and pulls himself up into it, looking back at the door behind him. "Yah... Are we ready ta get down ta business here?" |
| WizO_Aoset03-12-04, 12:48 AM | Aoset pushes open the door in the back of the room and walks in. Her rose colored gown is cinched with a belt of gold links that clink slighly as she walks and the back of it makes a soft rustling sound in the otherwise silent room. Her coppery curls are ablaze in the light spell and her green blue eyes sparkle still, but with sadness. Around her neck, hangs a medallion of the symbol of balance. She carries a leather satchel under left arm. "Theeb," she says softly, acknowleding the Kobold. She steps up behind the table looking rather grim and sits in the center chair, setting the satchel on the table in front of her. |
| ORC_Nashira03-13-04, 08:53 PM | Stepping in grim faced, Nashira enters in her full plate armor which sometimes appears black and other times appears red depending onwhat angle you are looking at it from. She takes the remaining right chair and sits, nodding to Theeb and Aoset. "Let's do this thing. We need to get some answers." |
| Manger03-13-04, 10:15 PM | A door slams open, disturbing those small interrigation blues that more than likely every Marshall has on such an occasion. From the dark doorway, enter three figures. Two armored guards, both attempting to hide rust stains, carrying spears, and flanking a chained man that looked, to say in a word, horrible--And, if you wished to go further, much, much shorter than either of them. After quickly chaining him to the chair, the armored guards scurry from the room, leaving the squat man watching the three Marshalls with a rather unpleasant set of beady little eyes. He's stump, fat, with an unpleasant rat like face that's peppered with scars. Manger grunts and settles back into his chained, mildly-less-than-comfortable lazy boy, and looks the three straight in the eyes. "Well?" |
| WizO_Aoset03-15-04, 05:39 PM | Aoset sighs. "The prisoner will speak when spoken to and at no other time." She makes a quick finger motion and then sets her hands on either side of the documents before her, glancing at them and then back at the man who the paper labeled Manger Corelus. "The first charge is conspiracy to assault and injure Marshal Theeb. Do you admit or deny this charge?" |
| Captain Binkle03-17-04, 08:46 AM | The door opens and in steps a one-eyed gnomish sea captain huffing and weezing, "I'm not late, am I?" Waldo was the only person who had not had a grim expression on. Not because he didn't like the accuse, but because that was the way that Captain Binkle was. "I am very sorry for my tardiness. Did i miss anything?" |
| Manger03-18-04, 02:52 PM | Manger brings his gaze up from the table at the entry of the captain. He meets Aoset's eyes with his own small beady ones. "I deny the charge. Your Marshall Theeb apparantly has some rather big feet, which he used to back into me. Which, thinking about it now, is the only real way I can think that you could connect me to what happened to the gecko." Of course, that's not really true. Nugan knew oodles of things about Manger and his connection, but that's what Manger was counting on. The more Nugan knew about him, the more he would put himself and Apathy in danger. It was a long shot, in Manger's oppinion, but he rather doubted Nugan would be stupid enough to say anything. |
| WizO_Theeb03-21-04, 07:19 PM | ((Yes, yes, I know. I've let this thread run down a bit... You can all blame Spring Break... Or me... The latter's probably more accurate...)) Theeb gives Manger a look of disgust from accross the width of the oak table. "Yah... I'm sure it was jus' my feet... An' not the fat man who tripped me... Dat could only be it... An' I guess tha dried red stuff we found on ya knife was jus' jam, right?" Theeb looks Manger over again. "Yah... Well, maybe a little of it was jam by tha looks of ya... But still..." |
| Manger03-23-04, 05:57 PM | Manger manages to control his surprise. "What knife?," he asks simply, as if clueless. |
| WizO_Aoset03-24-04, 01:45 PM | "This one," Aoset said cooly removing a hankercheif wrapped knife from the case before her. "We found it on your person when we brought you in." She looks him in the eye. "Let the council remember that Manger Corelus denies involvment in attacking Marshal Theeb. You were present for an argument between Nugan Wracod, the Guildmaster of Apathy and Sharp Mullberry. That is the reason you were brought here. While you were chained we took this recently blood stained knife off your person. Our report notes the victim was stabbed. "The next charge is the Murder of Sharp Mullberry. Do you admit or deny this charge?" |
| Manger03-25-04, 10:02 PM | Manger's face drains of color, and he turns his eyes from all at the table. "That knife's bloodied from a man I had to convince to stop following me down an alley the other day," Manger growls to the Marshalls. |
| WizO_Aoset03-26-04, 12:58 AM | Aoset stares at Manger unmoved. "You will face the tribunal at all times. Do you admit or deny the charge?" |
| WizO_Theeb03-26-04, 01:02 AM | Theeb narrows his eyes at Manger. "Yah... So ya're sayin' ya stabbed someone else wit' it... And dat's suppossed ta clear ya name now?" |
| Manger03-26-04, 01:05 AM | The dirty, near-hunchbacked man leveled his eyes at Aoset. "What do you think, Marshall?" he asked her, though he knew he wasn't going to get anywhere with that question. It might throw him into a guilty light, but that wouldn't really matter. What did matter is that somebody had killed Sharp, and whoever had done it did a bloody fine job of making him look suspect. |
| WizO_Aoset03-26-04, 01:12 AM | "Answer the charge, Manger Corelus or you will be charged with obstruction of justice at the very least." |
| Manger03-26-04, 01:12 AM | After his cold question toward Aoset, Manger turns to Theeb. "I'm a merchant, Marshall Theeb, and merchants make enemies. I'm sure that actually makes sense once it's stated. Now having somebody follow me for half an hour and then down an alley happens to bother me, and I'm a very moody person." Manger grumbles and leans back in his chair. Not good, Manger, he tells himself. These guys are gonna chew you up and spit you out faster than manure through a calf. Find out what you can and go from there. Corelus turns his beady eyes on Aoset once again. "So you've got the knife on me. How'd I do it?" Hopefully that would get the ball rolling. Hopefully. |
| Manger03-26-04, 01:15 AM | The grisly man raises two messed eye brows. "Obstruction of Justice during a murder hearing. That's a new low, Marshall. I'll deny the charge until you can prove, or at least provide me with how you think --or know-- I did it." This was going down hill fast. Joy. |
| WizO_Theeb03-26-04, 01:16 AM | Theeb rolls his eyes. "Yah... Huh... Ya had a knife on ya, an' tha victim was stabbed... I wonda' how ya did it..." |
| Manger03-26-04, 01:21 AM | "Very true, but how many people carry knives, dear Gecko Theeb? And would you use a knife on somebody who followed you down an alley during the evening?" At least that would block Theeb's questions. Make 'em think harder, create a more complicated accusation, and they'd have to incorperate more of the crime into the picture. Manger needed to learn what was going on. Somebody had just killed somebody linked to Nugan, and Nugan needed to be warned. The only risk was that Nugan had her killed, which was a slim chance. It was unlike him, but then again, Nugan hadn't really been himself lately. |
| WizO_Aoset03-26-04, 01:23 AM | Aoset hold's up a hand to silence Theeb and ignored Manger's remark. "The charge has been denied. A reason for the knife, given. According to an eye witness you were seen as present when Nugan Wracod and Sharp Mullberry argued. What can you tell us about that argument." |
| Manger03-26-04, 01:27 AM | Manger frowned. That was quick. Questions like that aren't thrown out usually unless there's a chance that the interigators might believe there's a chance he innocent. Not that it mattered. It could be just to pin him. "Not much. Sharp exploded at Nugan for what he had done. They faught, Sharp screamed at him that she was done with Apathy, and then she stormed off. I spoke for Nugan a minute longer about what might happen, and then I went off to speak with the girl." |
| WizO_Aoset03-26-04, 01:32 AM | "Did Sharp Mullberry indeed threaten to expoes some activity of the guild in her anger?" |
| WizO_Theeb03-26-04, 12:20 PM | Theeb nods as Aoset asks her question. "Yah... Dat an' ya said ya 'talked about what might happen'... Does dis include what ya'd do ta Mullberry ta prevent dis? Ya know...Like murda'ing her..." |
| ORC_Nashira03-26-04, 03:06 PM | Nashira sits quiet and composed, listing to the questions, replies and insults in turn. |
| Manger03-29-04, 11:11 PM | "Not directly, I don't think. She skimmed along the topic, but didn't really mention doing it herself," Manger says. ((Sorry I haven't replied in a while. My internets been down because we've been putting wire up around the house. )) |
| WizO_Aoset03-30-04, 04:41 PM | "Thank you. Did Nugan Wracod say anything to indicate he beleived she would do as she mentioned?" |
| WizO_Theeb03-30-04, 06:25 PM | Theeb smirks at Aoset. "Yah... He had her killed didn't he? Ain't dat enough?" |
| Manger03-30-04, 10:52 PM | Manger raises an ugly eye at Marshall Theeb. "You're not going to get very far if you keep jumping to conclusions like that," the dwarfed man snarled before turning to Aoset. "Actually, he stated that he didn't think she would at all." |
| WizO_Aoset03-31-04, 01:13 PM | Aoset simply ignores Theeb, giving Manger a look expecting him to do the same. "My personal interviews with Nugan Wracod have shown me he has a tendancy toward paranoia. Could he have ordered her waylaid out of fear perhaps?" |
| Manger04-01-04, 07:39 PM | Manger shrugs. "Nugan's been acting strange lately. His attack on the gecko here shows that. It's not really in his style. A lot happened when I was out of town, I guess. That might of changed him." The dirty little man grunts. "I don't know," he tells her honestly. |
| WizO_Theeb04-04-04, 06:17 PM | Theeb's smile widens as Manger speak. When Manger finishes, Theeb leans foward on the table, and looks him in the eye. "Yah... So ya dun deny knowledge of Nugan's attack on me? Or dat ya know Nugan personally, or at least well enough ta know when he's actin' 'funny'? And yet ya had nothin' ta do wit' tha attack on me?" |
| Manger04-04-04, 08:57 PM | They ugly man shakes his head. "Theeb, you're even more grossly stupid than I imagined. First off, everybody who does business knows Nugan on a personal level. And I was told that that flee-head was acting funny by" -slight pause- " a friend. And is it not possible that I learned of the attack on you right as it happened?" |
| WizO_Theeb04-05-04, 12:16 PM | Theeb shrugs. "Yah... Let's assume dat's true... Which it ain't... Den who is dis 'friend' ya're talkin' about? Maybe tha same person ya was with when ya was not off killin' Mullberry?" |
| WizO_Aoset04-05-04, 12:35 PM | "That's enough, Theeb. The attack on you is not under investigation. The murder is. There is no evidence to connect one incident to the other unless there is something you are not telling us, Marshal Theeb." She turned her stare on Theeb. "I did not think so." She turns back to Manger. "Can you produce any eividence to support your claims? Suggest any records of a matter where Nugan Wracod behaved stragely. Is there another witness you could suggest? As it stands, all we have is your word." |
| WizO_Theeb04-05-04, 12:40 PM | Theeb spins to face Aoset. "Yah... Tha attack was a direct precursor ta tha murda'... Dat was what drove Mullberry ta confront Wracod... So establishin' whetha' or not Manger her has anythin' ta cova' up about tha attack is also establishin' whetha' or not he has motive... Not ta mention what tha involvement of dis 'friend' might be..." Theeb turns back to Manger. "Yah... I'm gonna repeat my question... Who is dis 'friend'?" |
| Manger04-06-04, 09:34 AM | "That friend, gecko, would be Sharp. And that very attack on you was strange. I've heard lots of stories, too." Manger smirks mentally and leans back, letting that settle on the room. What questions would that kobold come up with next? |
| WizO_Theeb04-06-04, 02:15 PM | Theeb slides back in his seat and steples his fingers. "Yah... Let's see if I'm following so for... Ya witnessed tha attack on myself, but were not involved, even though I tripped ova' ya while I was tryin' ta run? Ya know several memba's of Apathy personally, includin' Wracod and the victim, Mullberry, but ya dun work fo' dem? Ya was wit' Wracod tha night he was confronted by Mullberry, and yet ya dun know if he planned ta murda' her? Ya have a bloody knife, and tha victim was stabbed, but ya claim ya didn't kill her? ... Is dat ya story?" |
| Manger04-06-04, 11:51 PM | "In your twisted words, yes," the near-hunchbacked man tells the Marshall across the table. "In my words it would be that I'm involved in Apathy as an intelligence person. I come up with the plans to make money or get to enemies - not folk like you, Theeb. Another thing I would like to state, because you seemed so keen to over look some facts, is that I'm a merchant. I work for myself, you loaf-brained gecko. "That knife's already been explained, you heard that yourself, though I'm sure you chose to ignore that, and I've been out of town for a long time. The last event I ran through for Apathy was a diamond mine, which was when Sharp was alive. The deepest I've been other than that, was talking none-sense with that buffalo-fathered Nugget." |
| WizO_Theeb04-07-04, 01:54 AM | Theeb shakes his head. "Yah, yah, and dat everthin' turned out so incriminatin' for ya is jus' a bad concidence... Right?" |
| Manger04-07-04, 09:29 AM | "Nobody's going to change your view, Theeb. You're on a one track mind," the little man sneers. He turns to Aoset, then. "The murder might not've been an internal action. It could've been someone acting independantly, or completely outside of the guild. Those are two possibilities, Marshall Aoset. Two none of you have suggested, yet." |
| WizO_Theeb04-07-04, 12:15 PM | Theeb shrugs. "Yah... Okay... Let's humor ya den... If it wasn't someone in Apathy unda' Nugan's orda's.... Who was it? An' why'd dey do it?" |
| Manger04-08-04, 09:36 AM | The man raises a mangled brow. "Let's take this step by step for your raisen-sized brain, gecko. First, let's understand where I am and why: I'm being accused of murder of my friend and partner in Apathy, with no one on the outside helping me, and, most likely, I'll be locked in a cage for it. Now that you understand that, my dear Marshall, can you find a reason why I wouldn't tell you who killed her if it wasn't me? Or why I hadn't already killed them?" Manger was becoming very grumpy. He hated this flee-ridden kobold Theeb, and every time that Marshall opened his mouth, something frighteningly more pathetic and stupid from the last comment he made would pour out. (( ;) )) |
| WizO_Theeb04-09-04, 02:39 PM | Theeb simply shrugs and reclines back into his chair. "Yah... Dat does it fo' me..." Theeb turns to his right to face the other two Marshals. "Yah.... Aoset, Nashira, ya have anymore questions fo' him?" |
| WizO_Aoset04-09-04, 03:07 PM | Aoset just sighs. "That will be all. Thank you, Manger Corelus. You will be returned to your cell while we discuss your testimony. In one hour's time you will be notified whether or not you will be held further or not." The doors open and the guards return. |
| Manger04-09-04, 08:19 PM | Manger stands and lets himself be taken away by the guards. |
| ORC_Nashira04-10-04, 06:44 PM | Nashira leans forward and looks at Aoset, brow raised after she dismisses Manger as she had not had a chance to speak up before the man was dismissed. She leans back and folds her hands on her lap. |
| WizO_Theeb04-11-04, 06:25 PM | Theeb sighs and pushes himself out of his chair. "Yah... Dat was a complete disappointment... Hopefully tommorrow tha next one will have somethin' worthwhile ta say..." Theeb turns, and walks to the door behind him. He opens it, and steps through. (( Okay guys, I'll put in the time lapse to the next suspect whenever its good for you. If Arcia wants to check in, since she's be joining now, that would work. )) |
| ORC_Nashira04-11-04, 08:08 PM | ((right, whenever is good for me! Welcome Arcia!)) |
| WizO_Arcia04-12-04, 01:34 PM | ((Thanks, Nash :) Glad to be along for the ride  )) ::Sometime later:: A wheeled chair slides through the door, pushed along by magic. It veers into place where Marshall Theeb had once sat, his chair removed to make room for Arcia's. She glances to the other two Marshals "I've been briefed on the Interrogation of Manager Corelus, and the circumstances and evidence we've obtained so far on this case. Who's next on the docket?" As she finishes speaking, she sets out her leather bound book, opening it to a new page marked by a ribbon of cloth. Then she picks out a quill and inkwell from one of the many pouches hung over the side of her chair, uncorking the ink and settling a pair of spectacles over her nose. |
| WizO_Theeb04-13-04, 02:47 PM | (( Might as well start now then)) Theeb pushes open the door, and reenters the room. He walks towards where he seat used to be, only to find Arcia in its place. "Yah? What happened ta my..." Theeb glances around the room, and spots his chair at the far end of the table, well away from where the person being interrogated sits. He sighs. "Chair..." Theeb mutters something, sulks over to his chair, and drops into it. |
| ORC_Nashira04-13-04, 07:27 PM | Nashira smirks ands settles back into her chair, nodding to the now present Arcia |
| WizO_Arcia04-15-04, 11:26 PM | Arcia glances to Theeb "Sorry Theeb, but it's for the best. Then she turns to Ana and Nashira. "I'm ready. Have them bring the prisoner in whenever." She then sets about straightening her papers sufficiently to her taste, a task that could occupy her for a few moments by the looks of things. ((Whenever you guys are ready :) )) |
| WizO_Aoset04-19-04, 01:48 PM | Aoset enters from the door to the council room, just after Theeb takes his seat. She spares Theeb a curt nod and then takes her seat between Arcia and Nashira. "There was a problem with today's witness. Apparently he got a bit lost on the way in. A patrol found him and they should be bringing him in shortly." |
| Straak04-19-04, 02:09 PM | Two gaurds push the double door to the council room open. In between them stands a kobold man. He's not restrained in any way, but he shifts from font to foot nervously. He looks accross the room at the chair on his side of the table. "Yah... Should I, ya know, sit down?" |
| WizO_Aoset04-19-04, 02:13 PM | Aoset nods. "You may be seated." |
| WizO_Theeb04-19-04, 02:13 PM | Theeb nods. His brow is furrowed, and he has a blank, restrained express on his face as he regards Straak. "Yah... How bout ya do dat... So we can start..." |
| Straak04-19-04, 02:17 PM | Straak nods, and anxiously seats himself. He looks up at the tribunal and gulps. "Yah... Ya have, ya know, questions about tha Boss?" |
| WizO_Arcia04-20-04, 11:07 AM | Arcia glances up at the second kobold and gives a relaxing smile. "Indeed, Mr. ..." she pauses to glance down at one of the papers through her glasses, "...Straak. You wish to be called Straak, I suppose? Tell me, how has Mr. Nugan Wracod, your boss, been lately?" |
| Straak04-20-04, 12:29 PM | Straak shifts his gaze to the tabletop. "Yah... Tha boss hasn't been, ya know, doing well lately... He won't leave his, ya know, bed... But I don't think he's really sleeping... Just, ya know, laying..." |
| WizO_Aoset04-20-04, 01:08 PM | "Is he ill?" |
| Straak04-20-04, 02:06 PM | Straak shrugs, still looking at the table. "Yah... I don't, ya know, know... Tha only time he talks to me is when he wants, ya know, food... And he hasn't been, ya know, eating very much... " |
| WizO_Theeb04-20-04, 02:08 PM | Theeb turns to look at the other members of the tribunal. "Yah... Dat sounds like guilt ta me..." |
| WizO_Arcia04-20-04, 10:51 PM | Arcia glances briefly to Theeb with an arched brow, then back to Straak "When did you first notice this change in his behavior?" |
| Straak04-21-04, 12:42 AM | Straak looks up at Arcia. "Yah... He gets like, ya know, that sometimes... But never this, ya know, bad... I think it started after Sharp... ya know... died..." Straak looks back at the tabletop as he finishes. |
| WizO_Theeb04-21-04, 12:45 AM | Theeb shrugs in response to Arcias look, and turns towards Straak. "Yah... Let me rephrase dat... Do ya think dis might be guilt..." Theeb smirks. "Ya know... from killin' her..." |
| Straak04-21-04, 12:46 AM | Straak head jerks upward and he shoots Theeb a strong look. "Yah... Tha boss couldn't, ya know, kill anyone!" |
| WizO_Theeb04-21-04, 12:54 AM | Theeb shrugs and leans back into his chair. "Ya sure 'bout dat?" |
| Straak04-21-04, 01:14 AM | Straak continues to look directly at Theeb. "Yah... I, ya know, am." |
| WizO_Arcia04-21-04, 07:22 PM | Arcia once again gives Theeb a look, turning briefly to whisper to Ana. She then turns back to Straak, maintaining a calm, soothing demeanour. "Tell us, what do you know about Ms. Mullberry's murder and any possible connection Mr. Wracod might have to it?" |
| Straak04-21-04, 07:47 PM | Straak gives Theeb a look before reluctantly turing to Arcia. "Yah... I don't know that, ya know, much... Tha boss told me someone had... ya know... killed her... Right before he went inside his room and stopped, ya know, talking... I went to tha guildhall to find out, but there wasn't anyone, ya know there..." |
| WizO_Aoset04-22-04, 01:26 PM | "Straak, you have said your boss could not have killed Sharp Mullberry. Can you tell us why?" |
| Straak04-22-04, 01:55 PM | Straak shifts his gaze back to the tabletop. "Yah... Because.... Tha boss... He's not... ya know... a murderer..." Straak sighs. |
| WizO_Theeb04-22-04, 01:58 PM | Theeb rolls his eyes at Straak and shoots a smirk at the other tribunal members. |
| WizO_Aoset04-22-04, 01:59 PM | "If you wish us to consider that properly, you are going to have to substatiate that. We have seen your boss is capable of orchestrating violence at the very least. Is there any reason this situation is different?" |
| Straak04-22-04, 02:02 PM | Straak continues to stare at the tabletop, and begins to shift nervously in his seat. "Yah... This is, yaknow different... Because... Sharp was tha boss's... ya know... friend..." |
| WizO_Aoset04-22-04, 02:04 PM | She leans over and whispers something to Arcia, and then to Nashira. |
| WizO_Theeb04-22-04, 02:04 PM | Theeb snorts in laughter as he hears Straak. "Yah... friend?" |
| ORC_Nashira04-25-04, 11:42 PM | Nashira leans over and whispers with Aoset |
| WizO_Arcia04-26-04, 11:13 PM | Arcia converses in hushed tones with Aoset for a moment before turning back to Straak. "Do you have any other evidence to offer us to prove your boss wouldn't murder Sharp?" |
| Straak04-28-04, 08:39 PM | Straak looks at the table, furrowing his brow. After a momment he looks up, lets out a small sigh, and shakes his head. |
| WizO_Theeb04-28-04, 08:41 PM | Theeb smirks. "Yah... Well, dat's quite tha compellin' bit of evidence fo' tha defense..." |
| WizO_Arcia04-29-04, 02:34 AM | Arcia this time shoots a furrowed glance at Theeb and shakes her head at him before turning to Straak. "I see" She looks to Aoset and Nashira. "I have no further questions for him at this time." |
| WizO_Aoset04-29-04, 01:43 PM | Aoset nods and then looks to Nashira. |
| WizO_Theeb04-29-04, 03:49 PM | Theeb leans foward on the table. "Yah... I got one more... Ya say ya boss could neva' kill someone... So... Den I suppose he's neva' been responsible fo' someone's death in tha past, right?" |
| Straak04-29-04, 03:51 PM | Straak simply stares at the tabletop, not answering. |
| WizO_Theeb04-29-04, 03:55 PM | Theeb smirks. "Yah... I'm done." |
| ORC_Nashira04-30-04, 07:16 PM | Nods to the others and to Straak "Thank you for your time, Straak." |
| Straak05-03-04, 03:02 AM | Straak nods a little, and stands. "Yah... Thank ya for, ya know, listening..." Straak turns and walks out of the room, his eyes fixed on the floor. |
| WizO_Theeb05-03-04, 03:06 AM | Theeb shakes his head after Straak is out of the room. "Yah... Dat was a waste of time... Who's next?" |
| WizO_Theeb05-06-04, 03:06 AM | (( Well, there hyaven't been any replies to this thread in a couple days, so I'll take that to mean we're all ready to move on to the next witness. I'll put in a small time lapse of, say, two hours, here then to give the Marshalls time to digest Straak's testimony. )) Theeb opens the door at the back of the room and steps back inside. He walks to his chair, but, instead of climbing into it, he scans the room to make sure its empty, then, when he sees that it is, he places his weight behind the large chair, pushing it towards the others. After pushing it a few feet, his strength hi out, he stops pushing, climbs into the chair, and slumps backwards in it, panting slightly. |
| ORC_Nashira05-06-04, 12:04 PM | Nashira steps back in, still wearing her plate armor that she has worn every day since the beginning of the trial, she eyes the panting Theeb but takes her usual chair, silent as she as been for most of the trial. |
| ORC_Nashira05-10-04, 09:31 PM | Nash looks over at Theeb and says, "Well squirt, where are the other two?" |
| WizO_Arcia05-13-04, 10:53 PM | Arcia wheels in and slides her chair in at the table, folding her hands. over the table after she lays out her parchments and quills with the ink. She nods to Theeb and Nash. "Ana is on her way." |
| WizO_Aoset05-13-04, 10:55 PM | Aoset walks in with a bemused expression. "The witness was being difficult. They've got him now." She takes her seat. |
| ORC_Nashira05-13-04, 10:58 PM | Nashira nods to the two arrivals and sits back waiting for the prisoner to be "escorted" in for questioning. |
| ORC_Nashira05-18-04, 12:19 PM | Nashira, obviously loosing patience with the guards' ability to bring in the next prisoner stands and goes to the front doors. She slips through them to see what is taking so long and has all intentions of bringing the prisoner in herself if need be. |
| Traveler06-01-04, 07:43 PM | She walked in with her hood up accompanied by a guard. "I thought I was a day early," she addressed Aoset from under her hood. |
| WizO_Aoset06-01-04, 07:45 PM | "You are," Aoset replied smoothly, reading the page the guard had deposited before her. "The witness who was supposed to be in today failed to appear. Forgive the inconvenience." |
| Traveler06-01-04, 07:47 PM | "Forgiven," she said with a measure of boldness only a wizards would use. She took her seat, pushing her hood back to reveal her bruised face. She waited. |
| ORC_Nashira06-01-04, 07:49 PM | Nashira storms back in from behind the cloaked figure and retakes her seat grumbling |
| WizO_Arcia06-06-04, 11:05 PM | Arcia nods to the lady entering, frowning at the bruises as she lowers her hood. "Are you well, Miss?" |
| Traveler06-10-04, 12:50 AM | Alighan chuckled drily. "Well enough." |
| WizO_Aoset06-10-04, 12:59 AM | Aoset cleared her throat. "Shall we begin then...you have been summoned to give testimony regarding certain events surrounding the murder of Sharp Mullberry. Will you please tell the tribunal what it was you saw and heard that night." |
