lunoc 12-21-07, 06:00 PM	the surrounding area is dotted with metal towers and small buildings welcome to the fifth level of the abyss. last i checked, we had conquered up to 15- its 17 now, since that thing killed verin. come with me, we should talk in the tower he speaks with anger and seems not to like cai very much demogorgon turns and starts to move towards a large metal structure cai speaks to his companions and the rat-man i suppose i should explain, you see i knew one of the archfiends was planing something, and even i could find allies here to help against the creature. demogorgon promised to assist us.
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-21-07, 08:22 PM	Smoke nods and looks around before following the demon prince and Cai inside. Once indoors, Smoke queries to Cai, "So whats the plan boss? I'm ready to bust heads whenever." OOC: I always imagined Demogorgon would speak with a slight hiss and either have double speak for both his heads speaking at the same time or his other head would interrupt alot during the speeches of the other and vice versa as they finish each other's sentences and change their minds alot. Just a thought. ;)

(think lobotomy) hint: bel now has a new belt buckle. oh and normal damwulves aren't like lunoc, (think fiendish dire gnolls) :ooc the tower looks more like an infirmary inside. demogorgon holds up his hand as a marleth and a babau step forward towards the devils, hissing, the pit fiend snarling back. and they haven't even noticed the solar woman behind him. stop it! none of you were this brave when that thing was here. he turns back to cai and co. now, i have no love for xalax, but this beast must be stoped. now there are rumors that lolth knows how to banish him but we must move quic- the door is knocked down down in a cloud of smoke. an enrieys two glugons and a team of damwulves stand outside. "kill them all" the entire group rushes in past the fallen angel, and a battle ensues. a glugon and four damwulves attack smoke. the wolves just leap forward, wile the ice devil hurls an icicle at smokes head
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-21-07, 11:57 PM	Smoke blurs past the projectile icicle and the attacking damwolves. The rat-man spins and strikes each of his attackers with various low kicks to take them off their feet before he comes to the gelugon and stops behind the ice devil with two fingers driven into the devil's spine, freezing the devil in place.
lunoc 12-22-07, 08:30 PM	ooc: sorry sorcen insects don't really have spines...) the devils blood is cold and thick. it spills out onto smokes hands. the ice devil manages to strike backwards with his staff at smoke. meanwile a barbed devil hurls 2 scorching rays at smokes back. most of cai's team have died, but the pit fiend and two horned devils have backed themselves against a wall, the bodies of damwulves pilling up in front of them. the solar woman and the enreiys are dueling, pushing each other around the room. the enreiys seems to be holding her own against the larger and stronger solar.
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-22-07, 10:42 PM	OOC: Sorry if I seem snappy with this, its been a rough day. Insects do indeed have spines and can be paralyzed spinally in the same basic sense as a human. The hand driven into the gelugon's spine never actually broke skin. And I imagine the gelugons are a bit more evolved, nervous system-wise than an insect. But you are indeed the DM of this quest and this is your thread and your world so its all up to you. Again sorry if it seems snappy and I'm not trying to have that sound mean or anything, although it will likely come off as such. BIC: Smoke's hand vibrates until the cold blood slides off his skin. He steps aside from the staff blows from the gelugon. The scorching rays strike against Smoke and throw him off balance. He is unharmed and sideflips away as he loses balance. The rat-man sees Cai losing the battle and blurs to make his way beside him. "Whats going on Cai?"

Sorcen_Anenooata 12-23-07, 11:37 PM	"Can do el capitan." Smoke salutes as he kicks one of the bearded devils away and grabs demogorgon, throwing the demon lord over his shoulder (albeit awkwardly) as he speeds by and heads out of range of the devils.
lunoc 12-24-07, 09:09 PM	" we should go now, cai will catch up" a globe of shimmering envelops both demogorgon and smoke, but the rat man finds himself alone in a black void. the monstrous fiend stands a few feet away. the tendrils under his skin contract and shift violently. his fiery eyes spinning. a thousand voices scream and whisper, cry and shout, although the monster's mouth does not move we are many smoke suddenly finds himself being shook by demogorgon. ringing fills his ears, but it pases. a great web stands before the two. mist conceals all vision past a few yards away from the webs. "come lolths fortress is should be right this way by now"
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-25-07, 06:53 AM	Smoke's faceis one of confusion as he fades in and out of the blackness. "Ummm... Sure Demo, why not." Smoke manages to say with a shrug as he follows the demon prince, glancing behind him briefly to see if he can see Cai.
lunoc 12-25-07, 09:37 AM	a portal rips open in midair. cai and the surviving devils/solar are spat out several feet above the ground. all but cai fall down onto the web. hmph! its not my fault you cant hover cai hurls a bolt of energy back through the portal, just for good measure, before sealing it. after walking for a few minutes smoke can undoubtedly smell something burning. soon a giant metal spider comes into view. it is the size of a castle. there is a hole, about the size of a horse in the head of the spider, witch is collapsed onto its web. "well, um, lets check it out then" demogorgon seems impatient and nervous.

lunoc 12-25-07, 11:43 AM	upon entering the spiders head a female voice screams "get out its a tr-" lolth is collapsed on the ground all eight legs broken she is cut off by the screech of metal, as the hole is pulled closed by the monster, who is grinning with a mouth full of pointed teeth. the two horned devils throw their weapons down and run. the pit fiend just stands shocked, staring into the monster's eyes. demogorgon stands next to the monster, smiling nervously. "sorry cai, but he can be very convincing. now then my reward- " will be exacly what was promised, i will leave you in peace the monster grabs demogorgons chest and shoulder, and rips him in half. cai is stunned, he tries to say something but a look from the beast shuts him up. the beast walks across the room to lolth, who tries to crawl away from him. he lifts her head with a finger leans in close, but looks away when he hears halt! evildoers! a regal looking (if there is such a thing) rat-man in golden scale mail stands at a reopened hole in the wall proudly. he holds a flaming sword in a way that points down at the monster
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-25-07, 02:47 PM	Smoke perks up as if sensing something. He looks over to the hole in the wall just as the rat-man appears. A wide grin spreads across his face as he recognizes the face. "Sir Evatar I presume? At last we meet." Smoke nods his head towards Cai, "I can handle this one." OOC: Did you want me to control the fight between the two Smokes? If not then keep in mind the palidan version doesnt know about the full extent of his powers and has no idea why this other rat-man looks exactly like him and wants to kill him.
lunoc 12-26-07, 11:02 AM	ooc:you control the fight, but make it last cai knocks the monster away from lolth with a huge bolt of energy. it gets up unharmed we will finish this later lolth how dare you keep me from my prize! dont you know who i am? the monster screams at cai I AM LEIGION FOR WE ARE MANY cai is petrified as legion leaps over and kicks him, sending him flying. legion lets out a hiddious laugh that shakes the walls
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 11:37 AM	OOC: Cool, no problem. BIC: Smoke hesitates as he sees Cai go flying. He glances back at the palidan and makes up his mind as he charges with his usual blurring. The rat-man takes three steps before leaping at the waiting palidan. The palidan replies to Smoke's questions as the other charges. "I am Sir Evatar..." He sidesteps the blurring charge of the other rat-man at the last moment and brings his shield up for defense. "... And who sir, are you?" Smoke slides to a stop as the palidan dodges, He grins evilly as he responds to the question. "I am you." With this said, Smoke throws his claw forward in an attempt to impale Sir Evatar. The palidan is surprised by the answer but actually manages to dodge the attack. The claw attack is followed by a low kick, which the palidan tries to dodge as well but manages to have the kick glance against his shin armor.
lunoc 12-26-07, 11:49 AM	cai franticly hurls spells at legion, which all have little effect. cai throws up a wall of stone, which leigion knocks down. cai turns the ground under leigion to mud, only slows him down. many empty wands and scrolls that cai stored magically appear out of thin air near cai and fall to the ground as he throws hundreds of bolts of energy and missiles at the beast, all to practically no affect
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 01:04 PM	The palidan catches Smoke off guard and pushes him away with his shield. Smoke glances over at Cai fighting Legion briefly but turns his gaze back to the palidan. Smoke grits his teeth and rushes forth at the palidan, flipping over the shield to kick the plaidan rat-man on top of his muzzle, sending him reeling backwards over the lip of the hole in the wall. Sir Evatar and Smoke both disappear from view of Cai. The palidan stumbles away from the wall and catches his balance just as Smoke appears from nowhere and punches him in his chest armor. Amazingly the golden armor across Sir Evatar's chest is cracked from the blow. Evatar looks around for Smoke, the fog outside obscuring his sight. Suddenly Smoke appears yet again with a flurry of punches. The palidan does the best he can to dodge and block the fists but his armor slows him down. The palidan holds his flaming sword up in defense and drops his shield to the ground for the moment. Smoke waits in the fog, just in sight of the palidan. To Smoke's amazement Sir Evatar begins stripping his armor off. Smoke smiles and watches as the golden armor falls to the ground, revealing the soft black fur beneath. The palidan is dressed essentially the same as Smoke, bare chested with only the black leather pants on that serve as a tight fitting armor. The only difference between the two is Smoke's cloak and Sir Evatar's flaming sword. As the last golden bracer falls to the ground, Smoke charges in yet again for a flurry of punches and low kicks. This time though, the palidan is ready and much faster.
lunoc 12-26-07, 01:58 PM	magic explodes like fireworks against legion. dust and fire fills cai's vision. out of the smoke bursts legion who punches cai, sending him bouncing off the walls. legion catches cai, gripping him tightly. cai sends forth a blast of flame that bathes legion in fire. ignoring his burning clothes legion holds on until cai cant continue any longer. lolth pleads with leigion. please, let him go WhaT please legion, you dont have to kill him legion thinks for a moment he is incapacitated, that was my mission... AND OUR-MY PRIMARY TARGET IS THE RAT legion hurls cai away, and leaps out of the spiders head. but before he can find smoke. he is confronted by about 20 human cultists and several blackguards. he cracks his knuckles and grinns the solar and cai (well she is carrying the KO'D cai) are trying to find smoke as well (you decide when they find him)
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 04:40 PM	Smoke dodges a swing of the flaming sword as he charges in. He grips Sir Evatar's wrist and twists, causing him to drop the sword. Suddenly Smoke is struck in the stomach by the palidan's knee. Smoke drops to his knees, winded from the strike. Sir Evatar grabs Smoke's cloak and pulls on it to choke the fallen rat-man. Smoke struggles for a minute against the cloak choking him. He manages to reach up and undo the clasp, sending the palidan reeling backwards from the force of the sudden release. Sir Evatar drops the cloak as he regains his balance. The two rat-men stand about nine feet from each other, looking identicle and weaing identicle clothing now. Both of them charge forward, one grinning and the other stern faced. The two fight hand-to-hand, claw-to-claw. One seems to have the upper hand then the other does. As Cai and the solar come onto the scene, one rat seems to be winning. The only expression on his face is one of pain. Both rats have blood stained fur and claws. The winning rat is on one knee, holding the other rat against the ground by his throat. The choked rat's tail whips around the other rat's neck and pulls him off in one smooth motion. Both rats cough and catch their breath as they pull themselves slowly to their feet. The rats begin to charge again, the charges have degenerated into tired stumbles now, but the rats exhibit the same ferocity as ever.

Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 05:12 PM	One of the rats looks over to the solar as she asks her question but before she can register that it may have been Smoke, the rats have collided again. The two rats blur as they swing at each other. Blood flies from their small circle of flailing limbs and slashing claws. A sickening snap is heard and the blurring stops. The rats come into focus now. One rat holds the other in his arms. The held one's head falls limp as the other rat is revealed biting onto the dead rat's throat. The victorious rat releases his jaws from the other's throat and stands. The dead rat falls limply to the ground. The winning rat-man stands over the body and stares at it for a moment before recognizing Cai and the solar.
lunoc 12-26-07, 06:18 PM	w, well? which one are you? the solar is nervous, and flinches when she hears the snapping neck. she looks for any sign that it might be smoke. cai begins to stir, and the fight behind them is getting quieter... then goes silent altogether.
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 07:01 PM	The bloody furred rat-man stares at the solar and begisn to flex his muscles, seemingly fascinated by them. A smile spreads across his face as the various cuts and bruises covering his body heal before his eyes. He begisn to walk towards the cloak and puts it on, eyeing the flaming sword as he does so. The rat-man looks back at the solar, "Dont worry, its me Smoke." His voice seems different now, not the distinct holier-than-thou tone of the palidan and not quite the elegant voice of Smoke anymore. It seems more, complete. He makes his way over to the flaming sword laying on the ground and begins to put the deceased palidan's golden armor on. He looks at the cracked chestplate with some sort of memory before strapping it on and looking towards Legion as he comes into view (presumedly).
lunoc 12-26-07, 07:28 PM	the solar spins around and fires her arrow at legion, which just shatters as it his him. just turn yourselves in, i have some, things to... talk about with lolth legion walks towards the group with his arms open. come on, i dont want any trouble really, none of you are fiends. JUST COME QUIETLY!
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 08:44 PM	Smoke finishes strapping his bracer on and re-unsheathes 'his' flaming sword. "Come now, I've heard that come quietly line a million times, its never true." He points the flaming blade at Legion, in a strikingly similar fashion as when Sir Evatar did the same action.
lunoc 12-26-07, 08:51 PM	i suppose that your soul will have to suffice he kicks the solar in the stomach and pushes off of her legion leaps at smoke and tackles him with the force of an elephant, kicking off him if he hits. he reaches onto his back, and apparently pulls an embeded sword out of his back, but his garment conceals most of it. he grinns, gripping a black stained bastard sword
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 10:18 PM	Legion's leap hits dead on Smoke's chest, knocking him back a few feet. Smoke slides to a halt and lifts his head to reveal the familiar grin of the old Smoke. He pushes off of the ground and throws himself forward through the air at Legion. The flaming sword is almost brought up to attack too late as Smoke attempts to cleave Legion in half with it.
lunoc 12-26-07, 10:48 PM	the sword strikes legion's side, setting his clothes on fire, and he shifts to the side, but other than that, the blade rests on his skin legion tries to punch the rat-man in the face wile he's close cai wakes. if you can hold him, i can get us out! i just need some time
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-26-07, 11:06 PM	Smoke backflips away from the fist. He nods to Cai with a quick glance. "I'll do my best." He blurs, more then he previously could, and charges in for another few slashes aimed at Legion's massive body.
lunoc 12-27-07, 08:22 AM	each blow that hits phases legion for only a moment. legion blocks the last strike with his sword, pushing smokes sword away from him wile spinning quickly. he ends the movement with a strike aimed at smokes neck.
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-27-07, 10:31 AM	Smoke is amazed at how agile the massive man moves. The rat-man manages to bring his flaming sword up to block the great swing aimed at his neck. The force of the swing cracks his sword and sends him tumbling backwards, only to land on his feet and slide backwards until catching himself with one hand against the ground. He leaps at Legion once again, his sword shatters with the first strike. As the blade shatters, Smoke backflips out of range for a moment and throws the broken blade his still holds to the ground, "Well so much for that." He rolls to attack from below at Legion, this time with kicks and punches and claws.

Sorcen_Anenooata 12-27-07, 11:45 AM	Smoke barely ducks under the sword as he rolls to attack. The kick aimed at his chin hits hard and begins to throw Smoke high into the air. Before he gets too far though, the second axe kick comes down and catches him, slamming the rat-man back into the ground. Smoke's body lands with a thud and bounces off the ground a few feet. To everyone's dismay, Smoke stands up easily after such attacks. He looks over himself and smiles. "Nice." Smoke says before throwing a flurry of claw swipes at Legion and finishing with a low kick to take the man of balance.

Sorcen_Anenooata 12-27-07, 09:58 PM	Smoke smiles as he is slammed into the ground with enough force to break a mortal's bones. He smiles because he has evolved beyond the limits of mortals. He rolls away as soon as Legion lets go of his leg. "Yes, I've evolved, so to speak. If you were only a few moments earlier, I couldnt have been any match for you." Smoke blurs and charges Legion once more.
lunoc 12-28-07, 10:31 AM	the black cords under legions skin move like angry snakes. his arms begin to pulsate. as smoke reaches him, he grabs his throat with his right hand, lifts him up and strikes him in the stomach with the intent of punching through him (or at least his armor)
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-28-07, 11:03 AM	In an amazing feat of agility and strength, Smoke rolls out of Legion's grip, dodges the punch, and turns the move around on Legion and lifts Legion into the air above Smoke's head. This all happens in one quick and smooth motion before Legion even realizes it. Smoke holds Legion high above his head for a moment before throwing the massive figure at a nearby wall. As the man flies through the air, Smoke grins at his own strength but keeps his guard up.
lunoc 12-28-07, 11:38 AM	legion laughs as he stands up. he suddenly heaves, his mouth begins to glow shimmering colors from inside. he takes a wide stance, throws his arms out, and he belches out a 20 foot wide cone of blue-white energy at smoke. screaming faces and wraith like forms are the substance of the blast. the cone reaches smoke in an instant, and legion by simply turning his head, redirects the cone. he scorches everything in front of him for a hundred yards. eventually, the entire section of web in front of him collapses, and the blast ends like a fire hose running out of water. mortal souls not very filling anyway. cai sends a mesage to smoke if your out there smoke, ive got the portal ready legion (he is in front of them with his back to them) smiles as he hears the solar drawing her sword.
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-28-07, 05:55 PM	As the cone of white-blue energy crackles through the air towards Smoke, Smoke suddenly fades from view into the fog. Cai's messege goes unreplied to for a few moments. Suddenly Smoke appears from the mists behind Cai, he whispers beside Cai and stares off at where Legion is. "Cai... its me, lets get going." He begins to head towards the portal.
lunoc 12-28-07, 08:25 PM	legion stares into the mist, until one of the souls he spat comes drifting near him. he catches it an devourers it in a moment. he turns around calmly, and stops dead when he sees noone behind him. hmm, must have run off. too bad im alittle hungry now. he looks at the point the portal closed for a moment, then walks away. on the other side of the portal, a great metal metropolis sprawls out ahead of the group. the baatorian sky is full of fiery clouds and lightning. in the distance, a great citadel rests atop a black mountain. is this your fist time in the city of bronze smoke? ours is quite a bit larger, cai leads smoke and the solar into a alleyway, and then into a building behind one of the larger ones. inside there are clear signs of a struggle. overturned tables, chairs, and three dead devil police litter the ground. a well groomed damwulf wearing a monks uniform sits on a counter at the back of the room. he regards the newcomers with bright green eyes hello cai, who's the new guy?

lunoc 12-28-07, 09:31 PM	the damwulf hops of the counter and makes a wide circle around smoke you dont look like one of xalax's goons. he emptys an entire bottle of smoking alcohol into his maw. well? i dont enjoy your company much more than you enjoy mine lunoc, you said you knew how to kill le...that thing i know how to get rid of him. somehow, he has been convinced to assist one of the archfiends. my friend should know a little more about that a statuesque girl walks out of the back room. she wears strange clothing for this place; jeans and a t-shirt. large bat wings sprout from her back, and a tail hangs by her feet. she looks at cai coldly oh, um hello, i haven't really seen you since, um... xalax impaled me yea. so anyway, legion usualy doesn't show up for anything less than the sacrifice of 100,000 souls and bel was to happy to direct him to xalax's fortress, so all you guys have to do is kill bel and the contracts off to wall behind them explodes, sending debris flying everywhere. a pit feind, a bone devil and the enreiys from the abyss stand outside. the pit fiend grins "knock knock"
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-28-07, 10:12 PM	Smoke brushes his fur back on top of his head. "Naw, I dont work for anybody, Sorcen and I have a bit of a contract for now but thats the extent of it." The rat-man turns just before the devils show up. He looks to Cai for any signs of instruction.

Sorcen_Anenooata 12-28-07, 11:12 PM	"Thanks, I'm Smoke Evataar." Smoke says as his punch sends the pit fiend flying backwards. He extends his hand for Lunoc to shake, swatting a fireball out the air that the pit fiend threw from where he landed.
lunoc 12-29-07, 11:27 AM	nice to meet you smoke lunoc stands up, wipes his mouth, and shakes hands. the blood angel is a slave master, she's mine two long, glowing green crescent shaped blades appear in his hands, and he runs at the enreiys at incredible speed. everyone but smoke would think that lunoc had just disappeared. the fallen angel, bow drawn at cai suddenly gasps. lunoc appears behind her, both blades in her sides. she drops her bow and goes limp. the enreiys arrow flies off course and strikes the solar in the shoulder you did that on purpose! the solar yells at lunoc as she approaches him and? lunoc seems unconcerned watch yourself welp... or what? you- as lunoc and the solar yell at each other the bone devil makes his way inside the building were the girl and cai are. he swats cai out of the air and pushes the girl onto the floor hissing and raising his stinger
Sorcen_Anenooata 12-30-07, 10:04 AM	OOC: Sorry for my slow replies and frequent absences, I've been having to fix my well for the past few days now. BIC: Smoke rushes to Cai's aid, grabbing the bone devil's tail just below the stinger. He snaps the part with the stinger off and spins to impale the stinger under the bone devil's chin, leaving the point of the stinger protruding from top of the devil's skull. Smoke stands in this position long enouhg to be seen but moves back to the pit fiend just before the bone devil's blood begins to seep out.
lunoc 12-30-07, 02:57 PM	the pit fiend raises his arms and fire appears in his hands. he roars in infernal as he hurls a wave of flaming boulders soaring into the alley (meteor swarm)

Suddenly Smoke realizes something, just by grabbing the fiend he had crushed his throat and effectively strangulated him and there was no need for a face crushing punch. Smoke drops the pit fiend and yells back to Cai, "Cai, I think these meteors here are more down your alley then mine."
lunoc 12-30-07, 07:12 PM	cai blasts several of the meteors and lunoc takes the rest. alright, i think now would be a good time to examine our situation, no one will go looking for this squad for about an hour, things are a little disorganized at the moment. cai floats over into the back room. the room is poorly lit and dirty. alright, we need to prepare for our attack on the fortress. smoke, just how much has your power increased? do you think you and lunoc can handle bel? xalax wont be in very good condition by now and i am nearly out of spells, what about that thing, whats his face, legion i have a plan for dealing with him.

lunoc 12-30-07, 09:45 PM	sara and lunoc have been gathering information since the attack started. they know more than i do the girl turns to smoke xalax is being held in a hidden chamber below the throne room, putting it in the middle of the citadel. the flight entrance is the closest entrance, it is on the same level. i know for certan that there will be no outsiders within 5 levels lunoc stares at a green orb he formed in his hand. there is just one problem, legion has turned the entire entryway into his own den. the reason that only mortals will be on patrol, is because he preys on greaters* and they fear him, in their essence they can feel what he is. i am confident that sara can provide an adequate distraction lunoc snarls and bars his teeth your not using my student as a sacrifice! lunoc looks ready to maul cai sacrifice? she would not be harmed! cai's voice echoes in smokes head see if you can convince him to calm down *outsiders, lunoc uses damwulf terms

His expression seems one of surprise and questioning but he steps forward towards Lunoc. "Cai hasnt steered me wrong yet Lunoc, I think if he says she'll be fine then she will." He says reassuringly to Lunoc.

"I will meditate and focus my now complete mind and body while we wait. I need to see what kind of power I have anyway." Smoke says in response to Cai refreshing his spells and Lunoc going out.
lunoc 01-01-08, 06:35 PM	the storm increases in size and magnitude over night. on the horizon, flaming tornadoes tear across the ground, and an immense hoard of undead, demons, oozes, and other creatures of destruction are charging across the plain towards the city as the last powerful demon princes launch their attack. lunoc wakes the others we have to go, once the battle starts there will be an army of demons, and devils between us and the citadel. as everyone is getting ready cai gives instructions sara and i will enter first, smoke, give us a minute or so then enter with lunoc. you both must make your way up to the throne room and kill bel before he can realize our attack is taking place.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-01-08, 07:35 PM	Smoke spends a few moments in thought as Lunoc leaves and Cai rests. He then makes his way to a quiet place outside and begins to train. His movements are starightforward and hard. His ki seems to emanate from his body in the form of an aura. Most of his movements are too fast to even be seen as a blur. After training for hours and honing his Xingyiquan skills, Smoke experiments with his new abilities. He learns much of his new limits (or lack thereof) as he tries different things. Satisified with his new powers, Smoke finally lays down to rest and meditate for the remainder of the night. His body seems to no longer require sleep he quickly discovers though. Smoke is awake and floating just off the ground in a meditative state as Lunoc shows up in the morning. He uncurls and walks to them. As Cai speaks he nods to him, "Shouldnt be a problem." A smile spreads across his face as he turns to Lunoc, "Ready for this Lunoc."
lunoc 01-01-08, 08:16 PM	lunoc grins with his white fangs lets go get him. race ya! lunoc "disappears" as he takes off at high speed. the streets are swarming with soldiers preparing for battle. lunoc leaps onto buildings and runs through the crowds.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-01-08, 09:10 PM	Smoke shrugs, "I was under the impression that we were to wait but I cant let ya win." The rat-man bolts off after the damwulf, Smoke catches up fairly easily to Lunoc. Smoke keeps pace with Lunoc, leaping off the buildings parallel to him.
lunoc 01-02-08, 04:41 PM	they will catch up, they just have to go in first anyway the ground cracks underneath his feet as he picks up speed. lunoc kicks off a wall with a sound like a cannon as he leaps over the great outer wall and heads for the citadel in the distance.

lunoc 01-02-08, 08:39 PM	the two soon reach the great tower. twilight has come by then, and the demon army begins to close on the city of brass to the south. to the east the mines still are running. lunoc stares off at the great pits in which he was raised there, my packmates work for the devils in the dark. they are born down there. i was part of the original litter, created not born. no doubt the mines will not be abandoned. lunoc's reminiscence is interrupted as the mangled body of a pit fiend falls to the ground. a deafening roar can be heard from above as legion screams into the sky. cai, the solar, and sara land nearby well... hes already been fed, thats good. lunoc transforms into a handsome human man wearing a black martial artist uniform, his eyes and fangs remain however. he bows to sara. good hunting sara bows in return may your prey fall to you, master then her and cai take to the air and soon enter the tower

lunoc 01-05-08, 02:04 PM	minutes pass, lunoc gets impatient thats it! im going up there cai appears, seemingly out of the air just as lunoc says this. its all clear, head for the entrance, and be very quiet. cai vanishes again after he says this. lunoc does a flip and lands with his feet on the side of the tower. he stands horizontally in the air, like his feet are attached to the tower. he begins to run up the tower, slowing down so he does not create a sonic boom.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-06-08, 09:25 AM	Smoke smiles at Lunoc's impatience. The rat man leaps and clings to the tower with all four sets of claws dug into the thick stone of the tower. His thick tail sets itself close to the building and drags it along as he climbs. Smoke keeps up with Lunoc fairly easily, although travel in this way is a bit harder for speed.
lunoc 01-06-08, 01:30 PM	the entrance is shaped like a great dragon skull about 60 feet high and 50 feet across. dead devils litter the floor torn armor hangs off the walls and the whole room seems to have been scorched black. loud growling noises fill the room. in the center of the room a great macabre throne of black iron stands like a wide tower or evil tree sprouting from the floor. the forms of wailing spirits cover the thrones surface. lunoc jumps silently onto the side of the throne, looking around. the wolf's telepathy allows him to speak to smoke. you have to see this, he's... well... asleep legion is sleeping on a great pile of chains. the chain's links sizes vary, at least one chain has links larger than legion's head. sarra sits next to the bed of chains. she holds a wound on her arm. a completely charred and burnt marlith on the ground next to her, its face still in a snarl. be... very... quiet.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-06-08, 05:45 PM	Smoke quietly follows Lunoc. At Lunoc's telepathic comment Smoke peeks over at the slumbering giant of a man. He smiles widely to Lunoc at the sleeping Legion. Smoke's eyes fall on Sara, he glances to Lunoc quickly and finally his gaze ends back on Legion. The rat-man waits for the damwulf's next action.

The rat man remains unsure if his messege was recieved for several moments, having no telepathic skills he has no way to actively project his thoughts and only hopes that Lunoc's telepathic link is still active.

lunoc 01-07-08, 08:06 PM	lunoc grins in return, as he starts up the stairs. lunoc and smoke reach a huge door made entirely of jewels and gold. hes in there, and he smells horrible. on 3. 1..2..3! lunoc blasts the door open with a ray of energy. a pit fiend wearing golden armor looks up from a black marble throne. his horns are long and there are several pairs, and no two sets are the same. his circular, many toothed maw produces a low growl as he begins to rise.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-08-08, 08:09 AM	As the door is blasted open, Smoke blurs until he effectively disappears. He reappears flying through the air with a kick mere inches from the fiend's chest. The rat man prepares his other foot for a second kick if the first one connects.
lunoc 01-08-08, 05:29 PM	the rat mans two kicks knock bel backwards over the throne. the devil lifts a huge mace and tries to knock smoke away with it, but as he moves forward, a large spinning disk of green energy severs his mace wielding arm at the shoulder. the disk flies to lunoc who grabs the middle of the disk. the weapon appears like three overlapping circular saw blades (two smaller one larger). each jagged disk consists of many of the crescent blades that lunoc uses. the rings slowly stop spinning. bel roars in pain as he picks up the mace in his other hand and throws himself at smoke
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-08-08, 08:27 PM	A grins spreads across Smokes face as Bel charges. The rat man twists his body and whips the charging devil across his face with Smoke's thick rat tail. Smoke catches his balance just out of reach from the archdevil and stands in a stance resembling the stance common in dragon style kung fu, ready for Bel's next move.
lunoc 01-08-08, 08:40 PM	lunoc spins and hurls his weapon at bel, who ducks under it as he charges at smoke like a bull, horns bearing down. sustaining the disk is becoming harder for lunoc, who is straining himself to direct it.

The rat man flips high into the air, sailing over the devil and landing softly behind him. Smoke charges in and aims a kick at teh back of Bel's knees to attempt to knock him to the ground.
lunoc 01-11-08, 04:43 PM	bel falls to his knees, and quicksilver begins to pour out of his wounds. he raises himself up, covered in patches of the shining silver metal. an arm pours out of his shoulder. bel swings his new limb at smoke as a fist forms at the end of the arm.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-11-08, 08:03 PM	Smoke is struck in the chest by the devil's new fist. The rat man slides backwards but is otherwise unharmed. He flips forward and twirls over Bel's head to land behind the devil, being sure to be out of range of any attacks.
lunoc 01-11-08, 08:38 PM	lunoc's disk flies across the room, slashing bel's side as it does. more silver liquid fills the wound (witch cut to almost his middle). smoke, however is standing right in the center of the disks path and has only a moment to react. OOC: smoke might be able to seize control of the disk by grabbing the orb that connects the blades. if he does the disks appearance will change, the blades will alter themselves like the favored weapon/color of smoke
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-11-08, 09:58 PM	OOC: Cool, will do. BIC: The rat man's ears perk up as he hears the disk approaching. Smoke seems to fall backwards as the disk flies at him. He ducks and barely dodges the spinning blades. As the rat man ducks below the blade, he manages to reach up and grab the orb at the center of the disk. He kicks with one foot off the ground and flips over the blade. The quick of eye can see the disk transform as Smoke's hand grips the orb. The disk elongates into a long thin blade with the orb as the handle with a flash of blue light. The blade elongates slightly more and seems to go limp, becoming whip-like. Smoke lands silently holding a glowing blue whip sword. The rat man glances down at the weapon and sends a questioning look to Lunoc, keeping his ears trained on Bel. "Your disk turned into a urumi for me?" Smoke says to Lunoc.
lunoc 01-11-08, 10:17 PM	lunoc is stunned how... a soul weapon... lunoc snaps out of it my energy sustained that disk, it appears that your energy has transformed it into a spiritual weapon, ill explain more later, right now lets finish our mission lunoc stares intently at bel's head, and suddenly the huge devil grabs the sides of his head in pain. bel falls on one knee and will rise after a few seconds
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-12-08, 11:30 AM	Smoke nods at Lunoc and flips in towards Bel, aiming to slash the arteries in the devil's neck with his new blade. The rat man's tail will follow up the slash and slap the devil's head, if the slash was deep enough this force could tear Bel's head off.
lunoc 01-12-08, 01:37 PM	the silver that bursts from bel's neck as it is cut open latches onto smoke's tail and begins to pull it in. silver begins to pour from bel's mouth and cover his face. bel laughs you shall die rat! his voice sounds strangled because of his grievous throat wound
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-13-08, 09:21 AM	Smoke stays calm and stops struggling against the pull of the silver. He begins to float in the air and assumes a meditative position as he is slowly pulled into Bel's wound. The rat man begins to spin. His spin is odd, not a horizontal or vertical spin, Smoke spins in a pull away from the silver in his meditative position, his head creates an off center tornado as he spins faster and faster. He holds the urumi behind him, the spirit blade swings wildly and slashses deep gouges into Bel, the silver, and the ground alike. The urumi seems to have no effect on Smoke any time it strikes against his skin.
lunoc 01-13-08, 11:21 AM	ooc: this is my last daily post for a wile so after this feel free to finish bel off. in the time of one of smoke's spins, legion is standing in the room legion! help me! no, i dont think i will. hey rat, save the soul for me, id like a snack before i go legion leans against the wall, content to watch bel begins falls down on his hands and knees, lunoc's telepathic assault and smoke's blade are taking a toll on him, the quicksilver pools on the floor instead of repairing his wounds. he looks up with defiance and pride into the cyclone before him.
Sorcen_Anenooata 01-13-08, 07:34 PM	Smoke cocks an eyebrow but shrugs, "Sure thing." The rat man turns quickly out of his spinning, breaking free of the quicksilver and landing with both feet and one hand on the ground. His hand holding the sword is extended high into the air, the spirit urumi is held smoothly high into the air as if an extension of his swordarm. As Smoke's new stance comes into focus, a silver-blue streak cuts the air in a line that intersects Bel's skull diagonally. The devil lord stares at Smoke's quick movements and glances around at the pooling blood on the floor. The devil's eyes finally stop looking around when his gaze falls on the tip of the rat's spirit blade. Smoke raises his head and looks into Bel's eyes. A smile spreads across his face, simultaneously his face seems to convey peace to the dying devil, as the devil's head splits in a diagonal line and falls with a wet thud against the ground. The silver blood oozes from the wound as the devil's body begins to collapse to the floor. As Bel's body falls to the ground, it explodes into a pile of perfectly diced pieces of flesh. Smoke rises and closes his eyes in meditation. The urumi shimmers as the rat man walks towards Lunoc and hands the blade back to him. "Thanks, I'll have to get me one of those." Smoke nods in the direction of Legion and speaks in a soft tone to Lunoc, "What do we do about him?" OOC: Hope I didnt overstep my boundaries on that death scene. I tried to give him some semblence of dignity to go out with, he is a devil lord after all.
lunoc 01-18-08, 06:44 PM	you can use the extra energy, just clear your mind and let go of the weapon. legion walks over to bel's body. a large mass of energy foms in midair. the energy rushes into legions outstreched hand, specificly into the black tendrils that end on his palm. he turns and looks out of the broken wall at the army's of feinds that fight in the plain. sara, xalax, and cai arive in the chamber as a radiant light fills the red sky, the air opens up above the plain and hundereds of angels fly out, charging down at the armys. go, my war today is not opon you legion smiles cai manages to skweek out but, the citadel- legion turns around in three pasings of this sun, none will live on that plain. smoke, lunoc, return to sorcen, tell him of me, have him prepare for my... arrival. with that he falls backwards out of the hole laughing with his horible voice ooc: when i can acces a computer regularly again i will start a new thread. so what did you think?

What was the arrival in Sorcen's plane about, bad or good or you cant tell me yet? Oh and did Smoke get his own spirit weapon or was the instructions just to be able to release the weapon back to Lunoc? Sorry for the confusion.
lunoc 01-19-08, 12:43 PM	thank you, i had to hurry with the last in character post, so i expected confution the plain between the citadel and the city of bronze, theres a big battle going on between the demons of orcus grazzt and jublex, verses bel's bood war army, and celestials that have decided this is a good moment to attack, because they could detect bel's death... and yes, legion is going to kill them all. legion may kill some of sorcen's devils or start a fight with arenagoers, but he will be on sorcen's side. important to know that outsiders (especialy fiends) other than princes/lords of the nine will feel overwelming fear towards him, (the pit fiend and two horned devils droped their weapons and ran away franticly at his appearence) unless they have some mortal blood (ex. sara wasnt afraid and she is a half fiend) also, legion is not violent towards mortals and does not take their souls unless it is a sacrifice. the spirit weapon is the manifested power of a creatures soul. smoke can absorb the energy of the disk. normaly absorbing forein soul energy but because there is little of lunoc's energy left in the disk, at most it would be uncomfortable. lunoc's energy is being used as more of a template than fuel for the disk, thats why smoke can controll it, normaly someone has to be able to form the weapon as well. i was thinking of having legion begin a fight with some of sorcen's servants and any others that decide to break it up. And now for mr. Sounds good to me, It'll likely be that when Legion appears the devils will be scared to death of his natural fear aura towards outsiders and they will attack out of fear of what he can and possibly will do, and considering his last visit was to arrest Xalax then it will be a possibility that he would try and arrest Sorcen this time. So like ignorant and unthinking subordinates that they are, they'll attack Legion on sight and be killed off until Sorcen calls them off. Servants are fine to kill if they get in his way too. Cool on the weapon and thanks for giving Smoke one. Oh and lol to Mr. T BIC: Smoke nods to Lunoc and follows his instructions, the weapon fades from view as it breaks into millions of tiny blue particles. The particles drift into Smoke's skin, as they do a feeling of quesyness drifts over the ratman. He shows his uneasy feeling on his facial expression a bit but quickly regains himself and bows in thanks to Lunoc.
