| Gideon_Gideonson10-22-06, 09:53 PM | Having completed his personal preparations, Gideon lounges lazily around the entrance to his lab, waiting for his comrades to assemble. His missing arm has been replaced, and looks completely normal, but moves with a grace that mere muscles could never accomplish. His crossbow is held non-chalantly at his side, but his eyes dart back and forth, as if he were ready to be attacked at any moment. A huge assortment of equipment is stacked behind him, all newly made and packed for the quest ahead. Among these machines is a complex array of hoses, needles, and glass, all leading to a dark obsidian staff with nine emeralds embedded in it. The entire construction seems sinister and menacing, and looks like it would be used to suck something out of its victim... Damn...where are they all? If we're to start, we need to hurry. |

As it all dissipates a single figure steps from the calamity, a wide and insanely evil grin on his face. He wears black samurai garb and a katana at his side, his short blond hair blowing in the slight breeze caused by his overzealous teleportation spell. Overlord Datis: “ :evillaugh Haaaahhhhhhh ha ha ha ha:evillaugh , Gideon I bring good news! My armies have amassed and are battle ready at a moments notice! Zartha’s armies have once more rejoined mine:evillaugh Aaaahhh ha ha ha:evillaugh this is going to be good! Zartha moves her face closer to Gideon’s face as she whispers in his ear. Who is that strange one there? As she nodes towards Turlus. I though you said that no one would know about this mission but those who we chose to go. OOC: Sorry kaizer_soatze but we had already made the plans for this and roleplayed this all out as the Tavern. I am not trying to sound rude but this is for Zartha, Gideon, Trigger, Dratis, and Damotha. Kheal: I have some abilities that I did not list in Sorcen's arena. Do you want me to just post them here or PM. The reason I did not have them in the arena because she would not use them in the arena because she wanted to hide her angel powers. |

He looks around at the myriad contraptions and devices that Gideon has lying around. He puffs his cigar and looks at his allies in this fight, then he shrugs and cracks his knuckles and his neck. "So when do we start. Just tell me who to kill and where to go and if I dont have anything better to do then I'll do it." OOC: Every general should know the value of a well planned and timely release of a chaotic killing machine that is nearly impervious. Wow Kaizer, you remind me so much of my cousin Dallas. :OOC |
| Gideon_Gideonson10-23-06, 10:17 PM | Hmm...the stranger does need to be removed. Hold on a second. Gideon raises a wand, and Turlus feels as if his mind were being scrubbed. His body turns and walks off, and as he leaves he can't even seem to remember why he came in the first place. That should take care of him. Now...let us begin. The only place I've located where my gate will go unnoticed is a small lake a few miles outside of the Bronze Citadel. For some reason, the wards of the nine lords seem to have missed it. With luck, we can skirt the Citadel/Fortress and proceed directly down past the Pillar of Skulls. My scrying tells me that Tiamat gaurds the gate to Dis, and that should (Gods willing) be our only real danger on this layer. I think we can take Tiamat or Bel, but not both. I hope it doesn't come to that, although I'd prefer to leave Tiamat and to destroy Bel. Sadly, I fear he is too well defended inside his Fortress. Dratis, your armies should, at this point, work on simply engaging the Citadel long enough to distract Bel while we descend to the next level. If he sees us, we'll have both him and Tiamat after us at the same time. If we must fight both, we shouldn't engage them together. After we're through, disengage them immediately. We'll need them later. Anyway, enough chatter. Any improvements on our plans can come later. Let's go! Gideon waves his hand at his lab, which collapses into a small box. Placing this in his pocket, he draws out a large silver hoop, and he throws it into the air. It spins faster and faster, tearing through the planar boundaries, until a gaping hole ringed in silver displays a charred and barren landscape containing a lake of bubbling acid. Delightful, isn't it? Well, let's not waste time admiring the scenery... With that, Gideon passes through the portal, pulling Zartha through after him, and together they step into Avernus, the first layer of hell. OOC: I'm sorry Kaizer, but BlackendEarth is right. You came in after all the plans had been made, and if you had throughly read through all three pages of planning, you'd have seen that everyone else was already mind-wiped. Sorry. And Dratis...nice work with the art. Do you take requests? Cause I've been trying to find someone to do a sketch of Gideon... |

He's Sorcen's brother-in-law so he knows what devils smell like and actually knows some specific scents since alot of the lords are the same in Sorcen's Baator. Thats all up to Khael though. This scent tracking could come in handy though come to think of it. |

She then begins to talk with annoyed voice Great this place again. I hate the smell of devils and their stupid plane. Dratis send your armies soon as we check the area to see that it’s safe for them to arrive once we do, we should have them start to attack. In the beginning of the fight we will sneak in. Once we are far enough in I will send some of my assassins to take out main ordering commanders. They will release a wrath so strong and unequaled that this war will echo for miles. Zartha then calls upon her inner demonic powers to bring forth a spell that allows her to see and hear at great distances. |

Damothan, Trigger, can you take the lead for a while? I need to practice something, just in case it is Tiamat. With that, Gideon drops behind by a few feet, and pulls out some fabric balls, which he procedes to juggle. It soon becomes apparent that he possesses no little skill, as he performs complex routines for several minutes before dropping one. As he juggles, his gloves light up and glow, and multi-colored spokes explode out from each ball, connecting them in a spinning wheel of energy, which dances and flashes about him as his arms blur. When questioned about this action, he merely grunts a brief reply. It has its purpose. Wait and see. |

| BlackendEarth10-26-06, 05:29 PM | Zartha reaches into her belt to and pulls an out a scroll. As she unwinds the scroll its seems to be about 10 inches long. She then beings to read the scroll and the runes on it begin to glow. She then holds her hand to her chest and finishes her casting from the scroll. A small bit of the scroll burns off as now Zartha gives off an invisible magical glow. She then moves her hand back to a readied position to attack. Where her hand was is now a mark of an hour glass. There, now I will know if they try to teleport to this area and some more. It will also slow them down so when I tell you they are coming we will have sometime to prepare and that will not even know they were slowed. She then gives a small smile and waits for her chance to run these devils through. |

Some of teh flesh on his shins is burned off but quickly regenerates with the armor adapting to his regenerating flesh. Trigger lets out a growl and stomps the ground but remembers his teammates, "We've been spotted, whats the plan?" OOC: I knew I should have spoken up when I realized we were sneaking into this place and we werent even invisible, let alone any other stealth spell. :P |

She descends on the dragon as her daggers form in her hand. You'll have to do better then that if you want me. She beings her many swings of her deadly daggers at the dragon. At the same time she opens a mental connection to the whole group. Does anyone have an idea because I don't think we have time for this army? |

This should stop them He throws the device above him, and it dissolves into shards of razor sharp metal, which whirl around the party, forming a hurricane of steel. The winds of the cyclone scatter the drakes, while the blades scour their flesh down to the bone. Gideon raises another wand, and spins around, pointing it at each member of his group. As the wand passes by, it covers its target in a shimmering net of light, which slowly fades away, taking the target with it. Soon the entire party is invisible to the naked eye, and the net masks their smell, rendering them completely indetectable to the common senses. Gods, I'm getting careless. Should have thought of that. |

He cracks his neck and looks up at the winged man. "Well that didnt work." He looks around and returns to the whirling blades and the rest of his team, and tries to think of a way to get back at the dragon-man way up there. For now though, he'll just be content to growl and snarl at him. |

However, if he dies, I won't lose sleep over it. Gideon draws his crossbow, slotting fresh wands into the stock. He takes aim and fires, and the dragon-man's wings lock in position, sending him crashing to the ground (conviently, he falls straight through the cloud of blades). Try though he might, he has no control over his muscles...his wings are not much better than loose flaps of skin. Who are you? And who sent you? OOC: Sorcen, unless Trigger is stupid (which I doubt he is), isn't it within character to suggest things? He seems fairly knowledgable, and many spells/effects are common knowledge in the fantasy world, so he would know about them. |

I'd like to know why we ran into this force...I thought this area was clear. Gideon speaks a few syllables, and his trenchcoat hardens around him, forming a nigh-impenetrable armor. His body begins to blur as his boots burn with a brilliant blue light. When he next moves, he registers as a streak of color moving accross the landscape at an impossible speed. Gidon runs over to the grappled man and pulls him close in a brutal bearhug. The force of his golem arm crushes the man's body and snaps several of his ribs. Ignoring the struggles and attacks of his immobilized victim, Gideon turns, still clutching his prisoner, and runs after Dratis. As he runs, he turns and gestures with his unoccupied hand, and powerful conjuring magic flows through his gloves, calling his allies to him. Gideon hands his prisoner over to Trigger (who is probably the strongest in the group) and starts off again, sprinting for the gate to the second layer, barely visible in the distance. As he runs past, his allies notice that while they are near him, their feet seem fleeter and their equipment lighter... Let's go! We don't want to be followed. Do anything you can to keep them away...if they can catch us! |

It's the nickname that Aya's aunt gave me so I used it for this character. Trigger isnt stupid but my ideas were a little too strategic for his character style, but I'll work them in there as needed. :OOC BIC: Trigger grabs the man and holds onto him so he cant escape and he runs with Gideon to the gate. "Now this is more like it." He says as he runs with such amazing speed. OOC: to explain: Hellfire wyrm's possess the innate ability to assume the form of a tielfing at will, or indeed any normal devil. He's not some spellcaster, but a full-fledged hellfire wyrm... |

As for the hellfire aura, I dont see that it would hurt Trigger because he's evil and his armored skin would protect him. :OOC BIC: "Nope cant fly, but I climb well." Having said that he stabs his claws into the dragon's grasping claws and begins trying to climb up the beast's leg. |
| Khael10-27-06, 06:53 PM | OOC: In terms of rules, hellfire wyrms get a number of SLAs including at will firestorms, which is the only spell he's used so far other than the obvious true seeing. The aura should in theory work since: Alignment doesn't matter. Anything within 5ft gets burned... but the armour/resistances should keep it down to a minimum. "It's amazing little man, that you fall for everything so much," speaks the wyrm as it shrinks down again, it's leg falling out from Trigger's grip. "Bon voyage, I'm sure we shall meet againnnn..." As it winks out. |

He regains his bearings from the teleport, he turns to the group, "Well he got away so we oughta get through this fast before he alerts someone, although its probably too late for that." |

Gideon pulls out a small hand mirror and peers into it. The Locate Creature spell within reveals the the position of the hellfire drake they last battled. Gideon carefully scans the entire area, looking for any witnesses. OOC: If Khael has no counter for this, or if the drake isn't in a place where a magical sensor could be noticed: BIC: Upon seeing his foe, he twists the handle of the mirror, opening a scrying sensor to its position. Gideon reaches through, aiming his crossbow at the creature. As he pulls the trigger, a scattering of deep blue rays blast out, chilling the very air around them. Even in hell, the air cracks and freezes, and steam rises from the surrounding area. The polar rays strike true, slamming into the creature and extinguishing its fires forever. The drake's lifeless corpse falls to the ground as a frozen corpse, shattering upon contact with the hard earth. That should settle him. Now, what to do about the armies? I have an idea, but does anyone else have any suggestions? And Zartha...take this. I had planned its use for the Lords of Hell, but for now it will help you. He unfolds his lab, vanishes inside, and appears again after only a few minutes. In his hand is the staff he created before departure. However, something has changed. Where before there were nine emeralds along its obsidian length, there are now ten. He hands her the staff, along with the needles and hoses connected to it. That should keep you running hot, not that you can't, of course. On command, the device will attach to a defeated foe, and drain its soul, at least in theory (and my theories usually work). The soul should remain in there, allowing you to draw as much power from it as you want. Don't drain to much to fast though, since the soul does need time to recharge. And when we come across the lords, remember to use it on them. Their souls are what will give me enough power to reverse the torture process. |

BIC: EVERYBODY DOWN! The device burst, and a wave of pure magic sweeps over the area. The anti-magic field resists for a fraction of a second before falling before the onslaught. Then everything is chaos. Fountains of burning cold burst from thin air, arcs of lightning shoot out from thunderous explosions, and acid rain douses the area. Drakes stop flying instantly as they are polymorphed into bizzare shapes, and many die as they plummet into the destruction below. Winds rock the battlefield, and the very earth shakes. Strange growths shoot up from the ground, trees grow, die, and burst into flame. Invisible barriers appear and crumble, and through it all Gideon's party stands unharmed, swathed by a circle of prismatic energy. The rainbows fit like a second skin, causing the drake grappling Trigger to suffer the full effects of walking through a Prismatic Wall. Gideon leans back and smiles. That settled some of them. A little obvious, but nonetheless effective. Sadly, I only have a few more of those. |

Keep all arms and tails inside the ride at all times!" and with that the disck lowers slowly picking up speed cutting through the ground you must pass through miles of ground before poping up on a new layer. The thought that this must be what it was like for Asmodous to fall from heaven but a lot less painfull. Time passes and you finaly stop on the 9th layer. "Every one off I don't think this thing will take us to the 10th and most secert layer of hell that would be the hard part of this jurny." and then the disk vanishes dropping you all on the ground |

Her power grows slightly at first but more and more rapid as she descends the layers of Hell. The bindings on her power loosen as she reaches for what is the true power of her strength and life, the last layer of Hell itself. For when Asmodeus though he was drawing on his own power but Hell itself has powered, nurtured, and kept Zartha’s soul alive. He voice becomes more forceful and filled with anger. I can’t wait to destroy that devil. OOC: Zartha does not know about the connection she has with hell. The only reason that she is able to come back from death it because she is now bound to hell itself. She can only be killed if all the layers of Hell are destroyed but that does not make her powerful. She does gain more power as she comes closer to the last level but she is not all powerful. Also me and Sky will be gone for this weekend so will not be able to post. Just letting you guys know. |

He touches the feather in his hair and shrugs and mumbles, "Its as a good a time as any I reckon." He pulls the feather from his hair and then lowers his armor on his left forearm. He then reaches out and smashes a devil's face in when it gets too close to him, then he returns to stabbing the feather into his arm and speaking aloud to seemingly noone, "Jinx, honey, we could use yer help if you wanna join in." After the feather disappears he brings his armor back up and finishes killing the fallen devil that he punched in the face and resumes killing the numerous devils. |
| FallenVampris11-19-06, 08:23 PM | As the gang is fighting off the hoard of Devils, Jinx appears in a cloud of smoke and with flames licking at her feet. When she lands, she sees the fight a few paces in front of her. She holds her arms out as if she's balancing herself and has her palms facing the forward. While she walks forward her eyes turn solid black and black flames appear on the palms of her hands. She uses her telekinesis to control the black flames and sends waves traveling away from her towards the fight. When the waves reach the fight they simply wash over her allies, but hit the devils with such force that it pushes them a few feet back. With each wave that hits them it weakens them from the force of the impact, the unholyness of the flames, and the small burns that fire itself causes. She continues to walk towards her allies as the waves keep pushing from her hands. She walks up to the front of the gang and uses the force to hold the devils off and possibly kill a few while she talks. "I can hold them off, but not for long so ya'll can prepare better and regroup if needed. If ya'll want I can just stop the Black fire waves and let em come again, just figured you might need a lil break." She looks at Trigger, "Hello love, I'm glad you called when you did I was actually kinda bored." |

He walks over to her and a familiar scent catches his attention, "Are you drunk dear? Oh well nothing wrong with fighting drunk, Dont suppose you brought anything for the rest of us though did ya." He smiles and waits to see what the others have to say about her arrival. |

He throws it toward the Abyssal Drakes, and it expands and splits, until the drakes are struck with several glaciers travelling at about 50mph. Those that survive are engulfed in frigid air and snow. |

She watches to see which dragon he wants to go after then closes her eyes for a second to gather her strength for the throw.When she opens her eyes again they are fully black and Trigger feels a sudden whirl of air surround him and lift him off the ground a little. "Ready.... and..... now." She uses her powers to throw Trigger straight at the base of the wing of the chosen dragon. After She releases Trigger in the air she turns her attention to another of the Wyrms, using the telekinesis on it to drag it down and reflect its hell fire attacks. Once she gets the dragon a few feet from the ground she jumps on it. While fighting to keep it down she runs her hand across the back of her neck and yells sword. Suddenly, a long bladed silver and orange handled sword appears in her hand. Using this sword, she levitates a few feet below the dragons throat were the hell fire can't get and repeatedly hacks at it. After creating a gash in the dragons scales she sheathes the sword on her back and uses her telekinesis to pry the gash open till she rips the dragons throat open and ultimately kills it. OOC: She had the sword crafted for herself when she was young and enchanted it with a spell to make it be able to cut threw anything like adamantium and near impossible to break. :OOC |

And don't forget, tactics that worked in level one aren't usually more than helpful in the final level. BICs: As the white glaciers comes the drakes as one, teleport past, to avoid you all, releasing flame to create a ring of fire... As Trigger comes close to his target, it's head moves towards him, and he hears this: "We owe you a debt for what you all did to our siblings... And debts should always be paid..." at this a second drake slams Trigger with a claw, from the side, as Jinx's target teleports out of her telekinesis. While this happens four of their companions link claws and drop down on you all, the other few hanging back, spouting flame... |

Any that side with the devils shall see there end by my hands. She the releases 4 daggers straight at the approaching drakes. The daggers full of Zartha's energy pass straight through the breaths of flame with unparalleled speed. The daggers heading straight for the heart of the drakes. It seems even if the drakes could avoid the daggers the first time the daggers would continue to follow its target till it connects with it. OOC: The drakes are not able to teleport due to the spell that Zartha had cast in the beginning of the thread. It delays them by 3 rounds and informs Zartha of there approach and where they will appear. |

Even if they were dead... And they can teleport since that spell only works with a very limited range and only affects those entering the field, which means they just can't get in close for a surprise by teleport. They also don't need to. |

She suddenly vanishes before the great beast can crush her. She reappears at safe a distance from the fall of the monstrous wyrms. She is burnt from the blast of the drakes for she was not quick enough to escape the entire blast. Well I will have to be more careful next time. |
| FallenVampris11-23-06, 11:11 AM | Jinx growls at the dragons teleporting. She eyes a dragon she's after and casts a spell aimed at that dragon to prevent it from teleporting away from her. She levitates herself up to the level of the dragons and creates a ring of black fire. She then "lassos" a dragon by its neck and as it pulls against the black fire rope the loop tightens around it's neck. She sees Trigger falling and catches him with her telekineis, she brings him ove to where she's levitating. "Hey Trigger wanna help with this one? I don't think he'll be going anywhere for a little bit" Jinx then mumbles a few words and a whirl wind of red feathers appear around her. As you look at the feather you can see that they are sharpening themselves and turning into little blades. Jinx looks at the feathers then suddenly looks back at the dragon she has and the feathers dart at the dragon drilling threw the weak point in its scales and driving into its tender flesh slowly working their way to it's heart. |

A fine net of silver wire shoots upward to engulf the drakes, and, as it does so, Gideon aims a staff, channelling blue energy into the net. The wires fly upward, and, suprisingly, slice through the first few ranks of drakes, entangling the rest in a net of razor sharp wire. There...that should hold them. A dimensional anchor in the spell, and that metal won't melt under THAT heat...and every time they move, they'll only injure themselves more. |

OOC: The levitation would still be in effect when he would have pulled the lasso, basically he had the footing but Jinx just needed his upper body strength, and I assumed the dragon would easily overpower him and then he could just use the lasso to hold onto the dragon. :OOC |
