Quigley A tall and rather handsome man walks into the White Wizard establishment. His tanned skin is either naturally bronzed from birth, or from his many years of travel on the roads. As he lowers his hood, reveals a head of long blond hair that is done up in a sharp ponytail, hanging loosely over his free shoulder. On the other shoulder sits a lovely snow owl who eyes seem as wise as any mortal. Those with discerning sight can see the sparkling magical rings upon his fingers. Some so colorful and gaudy, that only a Wizard would be caught wearing them. Or perhaps a pampered pre-Madonna whose home is a parlor of ill repute Never the less the Magic user seems rather proud of his getup. The long blue/white robe and cape hanging about with great care This Arcane practitioner of the Arts taps his enchanted staff on the ground, causing the blue stone atop to flash; as if to announce his entrance. Hearing the Gnome call out to him, causes the Wizard to smile a warm friendly look, as he responds in a deep fatherly voice. “Hail and well met! May this day bring us peace and happiness as we share tales of adventure and knowledge.” He off handedly points to the white owl on his shoulder. “This wise companion, is Lady Hoot. A truer friend if they’re ever was one.” She nods her head and smiles as well like all enchanted animals can. I am most pleased to be in your shop of magic. I hope we shall not just be customers of yours in the future, but friends as well. The blue and white robe mage gladly nods his head. Hear, hear! I whole heartily agree with Lady Hoot. But where are my manors? I am Agudo the Wizard of Light, and traveling Historian.” Agudo gives a half bow, then awaits to hear the response form the Gnome.
Pipers Youth 09-14-04, 08:10 PM	Inside The White Wizard Bar & Shop a swirling blue portal pops into existence just a hair from the ceiling. There is a mumbling heard then a foot pops out testing the air for a footfault. The figure inside seems satisfied then following the foot comes a pair of legs, a waist clad in green robes, and the rest of the lanky figure. The man is none other than Pipers Youth, Wizard Extraordinar. He looks down at Agudo and gives a hoot," What a rush! I thought I would never get that right...." The dandy wizard suddenly cuts himself off when he sees that he is hanging in midair. Suddenly the portal winks out and he is sent plungging to the ground sprawling and screaming. Secounds later he hits ground with a "thump" near Agudo's feet. Now a shaken Pipers Youth gathers himself and stands brushing dust off his jade robes. Coughing he says." Do you know how hard it is to track you? With all your peace and happiness crap you think I easily could identify your aura from someone elses, but it's nearly impossible! Besides the point, I was assigned by the Wizard's Guild to you. Just my luck, why couldn't I have been assigned to something easier like gathering ingrediants for a spell or advisory duty." Looking around at his surroundings and then at Agudo he grins," Well at least I can to a little bit of shopping. I still see you carry around that over feed house pigeon." Quigley Just as the Gnome was about to respond to the Wizard of Light boisterous greeting. A magical disturbance takes place above the floor. Arcane energy swirls about and out comes an all to familiar jade colored robe form. Agudo rolls his eyes, as he sees this Mageling less than dignified exit from the portal. Lady Hoot flaps her wings at the loud thud that was made by Piper Youth’s, dramatic bodily impact on the ground. The blond hair Wizard puts his hands on his hips as he watches the green robe Mage stager back up off his knees; and then listens to his old acquaintance rambling tirade of injustice at being assigned to Agudo. Pipers Youth Do you know how hard it is to track you? With all your peace and happiness crap you think I easily could identify your aura from someone elses, but it's nearly impossible! Besides the point, I was assigned by the Wizard's Guild to you. Just my luck, why couldn't I have been assigned to something easier like gathering ingrediants for a spell or advisory duty. “Ha! The Wizards Guild has assigned you to me, because they are enthralled at how I can run my school with a balance budget! Unlike other Wizards who spend coin like some Ale drunken Halfling .” Agudo eyes Piper Youth, as if hinting about what Wizard in particular he was referring to. Agudo modestly points to the room about him. “As I have said to your Guild Masters, I am successful because I am honest in my dealing with others. As well as dealing with honorable shop keepers such as the White Wizards.” Smirking at Piper Youth Agudo continues. “You may dirty yourself by hanging out with Red Wizard enclaves, and their sick slave pins. Yet your reputation will always come back to haunt you Pipers Youth! The Green Robe Wizard wasn’t going let Agudo preach to him, so soon after coming, and let loose with a snide comment of his own. Pipers Youth Well at least I can to a little bit of shopping. I still see you carry around that over feed house pigeon." The lovely wise owl bristled at Pipers vulgar words. Clearing her throat she spoke with a grin of her own. “ Aren’t you dead? The last time Agudo and I saw you was at that Dwarven black Powder convention. Something about you loosing your cool and making the mistake of casting a fireball at some powdered incrusted Dwarf?”

Captain Binkle 09-16-04, 10:34 AM	A one-eyed gnome walks into the shop. Examing the various magical items, mainly rings. The gnomish sea captain looks acroos the shop and notices an old friend of his. "Please Agudo,we don't need a wizards dual in the middle of the store now," Captain Binkle said with a warm smile. "Come, both of you have a round with me. We will share tales of each others glories," the gnomish sea captain said to the wizards. "Barkeep, a bottle of your finest wine for my wizard friends and a mug of ale for myself, please," Captain Binkle said kindly.

Quigley Lady Hoot who was sitting on her Wizards perch. That being Agudo shoulder, turned and nodded her head at the proprietor of the Whit Wizards Shop. “Of course good Gnome. We only seek peaceful relations and possible economic trade between us.” The Wizard Light gave a polite half bow to owner of the store. “My most humble apologies if my fellow practitioner of the Arts, Pipers Youth; has disrupted your shop. I am sure that dramatic fall/entrance was all planed by the green robe Mage.” A voice rang out from the door. Captain Binkle Come, both of you have a round with me. We will share tales of each others glories," The blond hair Wizard mouth open in happy surpise. "Why if it isn’t the bravest most daring sea captain that ever sailed the high seas…. Captain Waldo Binkle!" Agudo and Hoot both smiled at their old friend as they walk up to him. “How have you been these last few months? I haven’t heard from you since your poetically warm invitation for a drink that you posted at the Emporium.” Patting Binkle on the back the blue/white robe Wizard chuckled. “ Maybe we can finally have that drink after all!” Lady Hoot agreed whole-heartedly. “Besides aren’t you the Gnome who coined the fraise…. I plan to live forever? We knew sooner or latter we would all run into each other, especially with such a long life span as the dashing Captain Waldo Binkle.” Agudo and Hoot were very pleased to see their adventures friend, from the sea.
Captain Binkle 09-17-04, 09:39 AM	"Augdo, no need for flattery," the one-eyed sea captain said blushing against the complements. "And thank you as well, Lady Hoot," said Captain Binkle bowing respectfully before the wizard's familiar. "I also wondered when I might see Agudo, The Amazing again," said Waldo pouring both wizards a glass of wine. "Come now, Piper do not be shy," he said offering the green robed mage a seat and a glass. Pipers Youth sits at the tableand cautiously looks over the glass. "You don't trust me," the captain said reproachfully. ((((OOC: I know Piper said to wait but I hate having charactures just sitting there. You know))))

Pipers Youth 09-17-04, 09:00 PM	I was just about to give Agudo and his feathered mouth a peice of my mind until the shopkeeper stepped in and Agudo kindly excused me. Who does he think he is exusing me? I am not some child, besides that fall was not intended, there must have been some interdimential error or something. I would have to remind myself later to give his pigeon a remake of the Dwarven Black Powder Convention. Any yet another person walks in, a gnome with won eye claiming to be a sea captain. Ha! A sea captain, I thought they fancied holes better. Wait he thinks were going to duel, that's grand. More greetings and old relations are shared then the Sea Captain, Captain Waldo Binkle offers us a drink. I agree and sit at the table looking cautiously over the glass. The captain thinks I don't trust him. Ofcourese I don't trust him, I don't know him! So I oblige," No, not at all, I'm just thinking of how great a cooked bird would go with my dinner tonight." That was sure to get Hoot's feathers in a bunch. Afterwards I turn to Agudo," You don't know what you could have had if you stayed with the Red Wizards. It puzzles me still to this day why you turned down such an offer."

Pipers youth talking with Waldo " No, not at all, I'm just thinking of how great a cooked bird would go with my dinner tonight." As much as it made Lady Hoot bristle. She choose to ignore the philistine Piper Youth words. Evne though she was tempted to explain how her race, was writing poetry long before Pipers Youth ancestry, was still dragging their knuckles on the ground. Turning so she would not have to see him, she smiled at Waldo. “What has brought you to dry land this day my friend? Perhaps you found some treasure, and have been enjoying your new fortune around town?” Pipers Youth talking with Agudo You don't know what you could have had if you stayed with the Red Wizards. It puzzles me still to this day why you turned down such an offer." Leaning back in chair the Wizard of Light sighed. “Offer?” He said sarcastically. “O’ you mean the offer of all the salves I could want, and beheading of anyone who looks slant eyed at me? If you cant understand the simple principles of respect and love…. Then you will never understand Piper!”

They gave me what I want, money, power, respect, and women! Yet you think I dirty myself around the slave pens? You know I have nothing to do with the slave pens, nor want anything from them. Besides most of them are convicted criminals. Yes, I don't like some of their ideas, neither do I live the path of rightesness and good. I just took the side that benefited me the most." Piper signaled for some red wine and continued," I understand perfectly, and I don't regret anything, nor will I be haunted by my reputaion. I am done talking about the subject, so I'll leave it at that. I was assigned a task to fullfill so let's just make the best of it. Drinks are on me, I insist for old times sake if anything. Don't argue or I'll have to turn you into something unpleasent.

At Piper’s words that the slaves are mostly criminals, the Wizard of Light closed his eyes and thought. Oo…. Pipers wasn’t always like this, once...…once not to long ago. He was a young enamored Mageling, caught up with Agudo fame. Pipers had been working for the Halfling publisher Quigley and Quigley. Two of the hardest working Halflings this side of the Sword Coast. They had hired Pipers Youth, to help write extra copies of Agudo’s books. Of course being the bright young man that he was, Pipers excelled at his work, and soon made his way to the top of his writing team. Not long after, Agudo and Hoot had stopped by Quigley and Quigley publishing company. Pipers over heard that Agudo was doing a book signing at a local library. He offered his services in helping the Wizard of Light, carry the newly copied books over. Both Quigleys agreed that he would make an excellent aid. In truth Pipers did a wonderful job, in helping organize and set up the event. So good in fact that Agudo had offered him a job as his press agent. For over two years Pipers Youth worked diligently at his job, as the Wizard of Light agent. Enjoying all aspects of this working adventure with Agudo. The young Pipers loved it when the Wizard of Light’s fans, would ask for an autograph from Agudo Or when some lovely Sage or Cleric, would seek Agudo’s advice, in matters of higher learning. Pipers would always focus in on the respect, power, money, fame and of course the beautiful women they would meet. Pipers only flaw like most Wizards, was his pride and ego. By the second year in his press job, he constantly butted heads with Lady Hoot, over the simplest detail. It got so bad that one-day when the Wizard of Light had been detained, at a luncheon for some local governor. Agudo sent Lady Hoot ahead to join Pipers Youth, at a books signing that he was setting up, at a little tavern down the road. Well apparently Pipers had grown nervous at the unforeseen tardiness of Agudo. And had cast a spell to look like the Wizard of Light. The fans couldn’t tell the difference, and Pipers was having a grand time at the attention. Well when Lady Hoot showed up, she instantly could since Pipers aura and cast Dispel Magic. She then chastised him publicly in front of the shocked fans, about being dishonest and un-Light like. Pipers Youth was furies at Hoot, blaming her for the situation, and that the fans would have never of have known the truth. By the time Agudo had got there, Pipers had stormed out of the tavern Sadly just a three months before a Grand Mage in the Red Wizard clan, had offered Agudo to join their sect. All Agudo had to do was just write about the Grand Mage. As a member of the Light, Agudo had flatly turned down such a perverse offer. But Pipers was sly and tracked down that same Red Wizard. Offering his services and contacts in the publishing field. That evil Red Wizard gladly highierd Pipers Youth, and showered him with the glory of working for the powerful Red Wizards. Pipers had finally gotten what he wanted..power.. fame…riches…women….oO Pipers speaking with Agudo I understand perfectly, and I don't regret anything, nor will I be haunted by my reputaion. I am done talking about the subject, so I'll leave it at that. I was assigned a task to fullfill so let's just make the best of it. Drinks are on me, I insist for old times sake if anything. Elven Sweet Water, red wine, and a mug of ale? Just a sec." He disappears into a back room, and soon reappears with a bottle of red wine in one hand, a mug of ale in the other, and a bottle of Elven Sweet Water hovering near his head. The bottle sets itself down near Agudo as Beren gives the other two their drinks. "I can't run a magic item store without learning some magic, now, can I?"

Pipers Youth 09-22-04, 07:23 PM	The Red Wizard takes his glass from the aged gnome and chuckles," Quite well put. I beleive I ran into an ogre on the way here who was selling some magic items that he recently looted off a body. He didn't even know what some of those things were worth! I gladely took them off his hands for two peices of silver. Do you beleive that, I bet some of those things were priceless. Stupid beasts deserved it if you ask me. Piper than rose his glass to a toast," Alright, let us drink to old times of frien_.... EHH GADS, WHAT IS THAT!" The wizard jumped from his seat spilling red wine all over his green garb, meanwhile pointed at a pair of eyes and a smiling mouth hovering over Agudo and Lady Hoot. All of a sudden, the face shot past the group and flew over to rejoin a body of a small child that continued to smile looking around the room. "Now that's creepy, hey do you have some kind of bane for that thing I can borrow by any chance?"

The bottle glides down from the top of the magically helpful Gnome, on to the table “Ahh good Beren I see you carry only the best! Perhaps latter this fine evening, we shall trade enchanted items or a few spells.” Then Piper began to make an elegant toast, when suddenly his face construed in a most inelegant way. Piper Piper than rose his glass to a toast," Alright, let us drink to old times of frien_.... EHH GADS, WHAT IS THAT!" Lady Hoot nearly shot up off of the blond hair Mage shoulder at the sudden fright of Piper. Agudo who was just grabbing hold of the Eleven Sweet Water practically jumped out of seat. “By the Light! What is what Piper?” He stood looking about, with great concern on his face. Hoping this was not some bad joke by Piper about Lady Hoot A pair of disconnected eyes flew about and merged with a young boy, mumbling something about Red Wizards. Piper "Now that's creepy, hey do you have some kind of bane for that thing I can borrow by any chance?" Closing his eyes before catching his breath, Agudo slowly set back down. “Disturbing entrances are a sign of someone’s desperate need for attention. As far as dealing out a Bane on that supposed boy." The Wizard of Light nonchalantly points to the Beren " I would recommend letting the store owner Beren to handle this prankster”
malik21 09-23-04, 06:03 PM	in an almost ribbony motion one of the boy's hands dissapears and reappears by Pipers Youth.It begins cleaning up the spilled wine and attempting to get the wine of off Piper's clothes. Sorry 'bout that.Can't really get the hang of this. He takes off his eye in an almost cartoon-like manner and rubs it against his coat in an attempt to clean it.

By the way, here's your water." Beren gestures, and a glass of water comes from under the counter and sets itself down in front of the boy. "Now what's that about Red Wizards?"

Taking out his corncob pipe, from one of the many folds in his robe. The long blond hair Mage, magically lit it with a small, but dazzling display of blue and white light. After just a few puffs, Agudo had filed the room with the sweet smell of apple cinnamon. As he listened in on the Gnome and young lads conversation. “Ahh yes Red Wizards have a distinct lack of patients, for those who disagree with them. In fact those who have made the mistake of excepting employment with them “ The Wizard of Light gingerly smiles at Piper, as he points his smoking corncob pipe at him. “Find that they often end up slaves or worse, in such deadly arrangements.”

The second that happened I would be out of there. Ofcourse I would first take my fare share of coins out of the Grand Mage's private mint, well deserved ofcourse. Besides that would never happen. I'm to a valuable asset to the Red Wizards. It's not all the time you come upon a freelance writer such as myself, not to mention my superb skills in the arcane arts.' Piper then walks over to the boy enjoying his water and attemps to pick him up by the collar of his neck so that their eyes meet," Now about my clothes. I am tired of all this fighting! One more disturbance from you, Red Wizard, and I will have you thrown out, and I don't care what'll happen to me if I do!" "Oh keep your knickers on old man, I'm not going to do anything to you." Piper sets the boy down and pats his head. Gathering his robes he takes his seat next to Agudo and winks at Lady Hoot," Right Lady Soot?"

The wise white owl raised an eyebrow as she glanced at Piper. “No Piper maybe many things….insecure, vane jealous…but never a child beater” Keeping the peace between Piper and Hoot, was Agudo job more often than not. “Yes well now that we have that settled” He said as he held up his goblet. “I believe you Piper were making a toast, were you not?” Turning to the boy he smiled. “If you care to you may join us”

The Wizard of Light let out a great sigh, as he listened to the outrageous banter. The blond hair Mage could have cast some overly powerful spell. Such as Time Stop, or even several less dramatic, but equally effective feats of Arcane delight. For Agudo was no mere practitioner of Sorceries. Yet being a teacher, he could not help but make this into a Natural Science class. Taking his Elvin Sweet Water that was already in his hand for the now disrupted toast. Agudo cleverly poured the contents onto Piper fiery fingertips. “You see Piper the best way to put out a fire is with water! He wanted to cry and laugh at the same time. Oh how he wished to bask in the light once more. What was his life but a lie, full of greed selfishness, and self ego. Maybe Agudo was right, that one day it would come back to haunt him. The thought sent shivers up his spine. Was it to late to turn back, to embrace the arms of light with love, friendship, and hope? Surely the red wizard's would hunt him down. Charge him for treason, and hang him in the courtyard. Or even worse, turn him into a slave. If only there was a way to cut off ties with them forever. Just before the portal winked out a whisper passed by Agudo's ear," Meet me outside the tavern at midnight." With a flash of magical energy, Piper was gone, but his words were not forgotten. The blond hair Mage closed his eyes, as if lost in thought for a moment. ...o0...I shall be there Piper...o0.. Then just as suddenly, open them and smiled warmly as the feisty Gnome. “My most humble apologies Storekeeper. It would seem that my former coworker has short temper. It comes with blessing and curse of youth. But in time, I hope maturity shall grow from such passionate fire in his heart.” Lady Hoot nodded her head in agreement. “Piper will come to his proverbial fork in the road some day in his life. Yet will he have those who love him, to help in his time of need? Or shall Piper be that of the Red Wizards….always alone in the end.” Agudo and Hoot did not say much after that as they finished their meals. As night fail the two browsed the small shop by buying odds and ends. Until late that night it was time to leave. “Thank you Good Sir Beren! We bid you a prosperous future, and may are paths cross once more in the Light” With that Agudo snapped his fingers, causing a soft hue of blue and white light, to swirl about his hand. Revealing an enchanted elegantly carved staff, with a blue stone atop. With a nod of his head and a tip of his hat, the Wizard of Light and his lovely snow owl, exited through the doors into the fogy night.

Agudo Archmage 10-15-04, 01:00 PM	Agudo Agudo and Hoot did not say much after that as they finished their meals. As night fail, the two browsed the small shop, by buying odds and ends. Until late that night it was time to leave. Devourer As Agudo steps out, Beren calls out to him. "You forgot to pay!" The Wizard of Light hears his name called out and rolls his eyes. Yet to show the money hungry Gnome that Agudo was the generous kind. Even though Gnome failed to give a Bill, and toss out the one who was going to pay that being Piper. A rainbow of magical light appeared before Beren. withen seconds a valuable Rogue Stone, floats before Beren, as payment for his drink. ((OOC Or if you want a more comical romp!)) ;) Agudo turned at the sound of the owners call. He then looked at Hoot. "But! But!...Piper was going to pay....Do you have any coin Hoot?" The wise white ow camly smiled at Agudo and said... "Not to worry my Wizard friend. For logic shows us that if you dont have the coin to pay....All...you ...have...to do is She looks at the Gnome then back at Agudo "RUN!" With that Agudo and Hoot jump over the wall, with a crash of cats screaming and snaping of wood trash cans .
