The Renegade Master 10-29-03, 07:55 PM	((OOC: A Very long over due posting. This thread will help to give us focus once more an allow a easy place for others to be woven into the story line. As always players of all levels are welcome.. cough cough.. save for God-mode Characters :D This thread is also a tie in with the Sunken City and Dark Tide threads. So check them out if you would like alittle back drop info as to what has happened. This also concearns Celestia and the resent battle that has taken place thier. )) It had been many hours now since thier encounter with the travelers... the shadow beasts. Yue, Agudo, and Umbra had made thier way throw the wilds of the country side, aided by Yue non-detect spell, and knowledge of the land. It wasn't long before they had reached thier destination. Ahead of them apon the hill side a Tall forboding tower rested. Some 150ft tall its spires making it look twice that hieght. On some advice from a traveler they had meet on the road, they had journeyed here. A Wizard Guild of some renown... order of the Phoniex, prehaps they would.... could help. Just a few more minutes and the trio found themselfs at the gates of the great tower, a Old man in dusty cloths sat apon the steps widdling on some wood. Not even bothering to look up the old man spoke out softly. " ...Thy be expecting you in thier... best no to keep them waiting... wizard folk can be touchy at times... " The Mans words puzzleing the party... as does the man himself.. something is very strange about the man. But it is a stranageness you can't quite put your finger on.

Quigley The wind was at the Archmage of Light back, his blue and white robe fluttering in the wind. Agudo held onto his hood, as he approached the tower. The strange words from the odd man were a surprise, but most wizards had that about them anyway. “Well Lady Hoot, it looks like we have found some people who have heard of us.” The wise white owl was sitting on his shoulder, her feathers ruffling in the wind. “I hope its was all good” She gives Agudo a wink as she says this. They enter through the door and let out a sigh. “It’s a bluster day, is anyone here? We our a couple of travelers and seek shelter” Agudo taps his Enchanted Staff on the floor. "Come now I have been told us Wizards are the impatient type, Is said is anyone here?"

She looked up to the sky a bird circled high above her, it let out a cry and then headed off into the trees. In the distance Morgan could see a tower, a man in blue and white robes was just entering. She quickened her stride and came up to the tower. She knocked on the door....

Quigley Just as the Archmage of Light was about to call out again for assistance, a knock came at the door. Lady Hoot chuckled “Well it looks like were the owners now” Agudo gave a half smile do to this odd turn of events “From the looks of the place, you maybe right” He opens the door with a slight creak from the hinges, and with the wind now blowing in his face; Agudo squints as he says….. “Your not one of those religious folk trying to convert me are you?” Agudo laughs “Just a little joke my windy traveler, for I am very religious and may try to convert you.” Agudo gives a wink to the new person and then speaks once more. “Please come in and make yourself at home” He opens the door wider, and shuts it once the person comes in.

"I was just looking for shelter for the night, I can pay" She stepped in to the room and spotted the white owl. She was just about to give the man a lecture on the cruelty of keeping wild animals when she noticed that the owl wasnt tied down. "Hello, Lady." she said softly to the owl.

I am Lady Hoot and this is Agudo an Archmage of Light and Headmaster of the School of Light and Magic.” Agudo also gives a bow. “What has brought you to this…um … well abandon tower?…or so it looks do to the lack of response from my calls to anyone inside.”

"I thought I saw some one else here, just before you entered or may be it was just my eyes playing tricks. I have heared of you and Lady hoot, your reputation proceeds you." She said warmly.

Quigley Agudo glances at Hoot, and chuckles “I write two books, and yooouuuur reputation proceeds you?” Agudo can’t help but to laugh at his teasing of his wise white owl. “I need a better press agent” Lady Hoot blushes as only an enchanted owl can do. “I am flattered by your words, how has my name been spoken with others?”
kulideb 11-05-03, 05:20 AM	Morgan blushed for she hadnt heard of his books. "The school of light is spoken about by fellow rangers." she answered. "What brings you to this tower?" she asked as she looked around for some where to sit.

Just as the two were starting to get into their converseation a Voice called out from one of the archways. "... Travelers... very strange how might this councial help you wanders of the land.... Do you seek enlightment? Fullfillment? Enrichment prehaps... speak now, as time ticks away " Yue, at this moment also walked into the tower, the doors closeing behind him as he entered.. but not before Agudo noticed that their was no one siting apon the stairs this time. Nor was thier when Morgan had entered. Moving closer to Agudo, Morgan was a bit taken back by Yue Appearance. Its not every day you meet someone with a metal arm and cat like eyes. Yue only noding to Morgan and Agudo as he reached them, his attention turned to the voice that had spoken. "... We seek help agest a Dark Omen that even now gains ground..."
kulideb 11-05-03, 05:25 PM	morgan turned towards the sound of the voice her hand going down to her sword. "There is no one there what sort of place is this!" she said, then she noticed the stranger. "And who might you be?" she asked, she was beging to think she should have stayed out under the stars after all.

Yue Celestin 11-11-03, 06:02 AM	(( Stupid internet )) Yue noded his head to morgan in answer, and to looked towards the voice that remained a mystery. Dispite the towers lack of people about, it was clear thier was much more going on in the tower then what you could see. The Cleanness of the tower and prefect arrangement of things spoke of that fact. it only remained for thier host to make themselves known.

The Renegade Master 11-12-03, 06:29 PM	As Morgan first step landed apon the stairs of the tower all the torches and candles in the tower light in unison. The voice once again calling out. " A Dark Omen... we have seen the dark Tide and the fortress of Nightmares.. come we have much to talk about. " The Smell of hot tea and stew suddenly hit your noises, as if enticeing you to contiune up stairs. Behind you it becomes apart that thier are many doors off the hallway you enter... does that were not their when you entered. Dispite the question of were those doors may lead... the question of who you were talking to becon you upstairs to the keeper of the castle.

Yue Celestin 11-13-03, 09:23 PM	" Would be rude of us not to at least induced our selfs to our host in person..." With that Yue began walking up the stairs. Dispite his cool and calm outwards apparence, Yue was anything but calm. Thier was magic here vastly different then forms Mortals used. The pressing dangers of Hell Master also clouded his thoughts... something must be done. Turning his attention back to the now, He climbed the stairs.
kulideb 11-14-03, 04:11 AM	Morgan carried on up the stairs, glad that Yue was coming as well. She wasnt sure what to make of him, but the Archmage knew him and she had heared good things about the Archmage from other Rangers. Hopefully there would be time later to find out more.
The Renegade Master 11-19-03, 08:43 AM	It seem to take hours to reach the top of the stairs. Stairs of marble that wraped around the inner structure of the great tower. But at last... they found themselfs at the end... with a door in thier path. Beyond the door many voice could be heard, soft music played in the background. The doors handle almost beckons to be open.. but before you could, the doors swing open, with a word from the voice. " Welcome...Guest " In the room space because infinite, and time seems to stand still... what you think is the floor (only by the objects that rest apon it), sea of stairs expanding beyond site... it seem as if the chairs talbes and fire place of a every day luxary room had been droped off into the middle of open space. At the chairs sat 12 forms... thier forms totay with out detail.. and only the shadowy image of them.. save for masks.. The mask seem each different and the only real charactistic of them. Your eyes however are drawn past the forms with mask to the very large pile of pills and a straight chair.. apon it rest a Women of untold beauty.. but also a monsterous apperance. Thou her top half is that of a beautful Elf, her lower half is that of a sepent. Her fingers ending in slight claws. She smiles as she notices everyone gazeing apon her and speaks up.. the voice who had always heard... only now realizeing it belong to a women. Her fangs showing as she spoke. " Come in... Join us by the fire... and tell us your tale Adventures.." The 12 masked forms turned and all looked apon you in unison. Waiting for your reaction.

It would be...difficult...to face these men. Gene had no gift of tongue, and Agudo may seem too..."cheerful". Yue seemed fairly unbiased...

The Renegade Master 11-30-03, 10:03 PM	The Serpent women smiled at Agudo, casting her eyes apon each of the party (Yue, Umbra, Morgan) Before responding to Agudo. " A great evil we have seen... THought we wonder... why has Celestia not acted agest the Lord of Darkness... a blind eye? or are they unaware of this danger we wonder..." The Serpent women looks about the room at the 12 masks, before returning her gaze apon the group. " How rude of me... I have not introduce myself... I am LadyTokimi... And might I ask... what brave hero's have come before us..."
Gene_Kynes 11-30-03, 10:12 PM	Umbra takes a step forward, giving a deep bow to Lady Tokimi...not caring much for the faceless ones. At least not in customs. "Umbra, follower of the Void Way." His dark hair hangs slightly as he bows, and as he straightens himself, it gets in front of his eyes once more. (( If nobody minds...I've decided to split Umbra from Gene. Doesn't really matter, he didn't impart his true name anyway. :P ))

Although inside Yue's soul layed knowledge from thousands of years.. Yue couldn't not even began to tap its resource... There were many old and powerful beings still in the world. The battles of the Divine had not snuffed them all out. It was clear... This lady Tokimi was a beging like none other.

" This is our home... once you crossed the entrance to this tower you were no longer on your plane of exsistance... here far from the cares of mortals and gods we watch... and listen. " Dispite her words you did not get the feeling she ment it as a insult to the Gods or Mortals... more of a statement of a fact. " We are beyond the end of time... close to its begin.. What you see is only a respresentation of it in your mind. Like my friends here... to some they appear as Angels.. to others demons... some can't even see them... or choose not to... The Simple fact taht you can see them speaks well of your minds. And it is this fact that has brought you here......" With that the Lady Tokimi stood from her resting postion and slithered her way over to the group. It was odd... yet almost alureing how she moved... Standing before the group she curled her lenght of tail about forming a corel as if she were sitting in a chair. " ..... Speak now... what is it you wish to ask of me.... "
