| CaveToad12-18-05, 02:55 PM | I am sure this has been asked or covered before. I scanned about 15 pages of threads and didn't see anything specific however. Can anyone list any 0 LA outsider races for purposes of MMoF/Transmog/polymorphage goodness? I found the Buomman, Neraph and Spiker in the Planar Handbook. Any help would be appreciated. |
| PonTelon12-18-05, 03:11 PM | I at first wanted to say the LEsser Planettouched, but I actually think those lose the Outsider type. Umm. I dunno. That is a toughy. |
| HalasterAteMyHamster12-18-05, 03:22 PM | The Otherworldly feat from PGtFR makes an Elf/Spirit Folk/Deep Imaskari into an Outsider. |
| tsuyoshikentsu12-18-05, 03:23 PM | If there is one, you know you wanna set him up as an Archivist. Since they can cast alter self at 1st level. |
| Ouranos Harpy12-18-05, 03:32 PM | Lesser Planar-touched? LA +0 Can you perhaps point me to thr right direction? where are they? I've always wanted to play an Genasi, but hesitated with a +1 LA (I play spellcasters). I know this Lesser Planar touched isn't a Genasi, but flavour wise it's as close as I can get without upsetting the crunch. |

They just lose their Outsider type. |
| DM_Dracophile12-18-05, 03:52 PM | I'll prolly berate myself for my stupidity, but I have to ask; How does an Archivist cast Alter Self at 1st level? Gracias *waits to slap self upside the head for missing it* |

| Cytokinesis12-18-05, 04:44 PM | Be a duskling from Magic of Incarnum, they are outsiders. |
| Khazra Reborn12-18-05, 04:49 PM | i thought dusklings were fey? |
| Cytokinesis12-18-05, 04:53 PM | Oh ya sorry i got confused, they aren't outsiders but they are fey(extraplanar). |
| Arikail12-18-05, 06:23 PM | Consecrated Harrier gets it as a 1st level spell. Unfortunately, the Consecrated Harrier only gets Disguise Self, not Alter Self. |
| HalasterAteMyHamster12-18-05, 07:29 PM | Unfortunately, the Consecrated Harrier only gets Disguise Self, not Alter Self. Damnit, you're right. The MotW class has Alter Self, but the CD update doesn't :/ |

Aren't Buomman and Spikers of type Humanoid (Extraplanar)? |
| lostone12-19-05, 10:20 AM | Damnit, you're right. The MotW class has Alter Self, but the CD update doesn't :/That's because WotC decided to screw around with spell names. IIRC the 3.5 Disguise Self spell was called Alter Self in 3.0. |
| Jayr12-19-05, 10:36 AM | Actually, the 3.0 alter self was a 2nd-level spell, and had the same name as in 3.5. It was the 3.0 spell change self that became disguise self. |

It was the 3.0 spell change self that became disguise self.I'm rather impressed I remembered there was the name change at all, I haven't cracked open my 3.0 player's handbook since 3.5 came out. :D |
| pfooti12-19-05, 11:52 AM | Buomman are Humanoid (Extraplanar), which is not an outsider. But from the same Planar Handbook, Neraphim are Outsider, +0 LA. |
| NineInchNall12-19-05, 04:24 PM | The Diaboli from Dragon are LA +0 outsiders with a tail sting, +2 bonus to saves versus spells and spell-likes, the chaos subtype, and a favored class of sorcerer. |
