I'll soon be playing a 7th level warlock and have 10,000gp to spend on the character. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
Items needed:
Weapon(s)
Armour
Magic Items
I'm looking to have a decent AC, various attack options, and possible utility items. Sources: Any 3.5 WOTC books. Campaign is evil oriented and Book of Vile Darkness can be used.

be sure to have maxed UMD, and buy some wands of Cure Light Wounds first off.

What kind of Warlock invocations do you have? If you have a lot that require saving throws then boost your CHA otherwise don't even worry about your armor that much because you should be using invisibility a lot at that level. Really I would have fun with some nice wondorous items.

Consider Warlock5/Chameleon2.

Crafting all your own items is hawt.

The Warlock's main weaknesses are lack of hp (covered with an amulet of health or vest of false life) low skill points (skill boosting items in important skills) and relative inflexibility beyond invocation choice (buy wands/eternal wands of useful spells so you'll always have plenty of options).

Wands of Cure Light Wounds are always a good choice, affording you an alternate role should you find a magic-immune foe or lose the primary healer. Mass buff spells like Bless make good Eternal Wands, and Hold Person (as a divine/bard wand so it's 2nd level and thus cheaper) is an excellent choice as well.

If you're playing more of a blaster and don't mind shelling out most of your cash for a single item, the Chausible (sp?) of Fell Power from Complete Arcane costs 8,000 gp and increases Eldritch Blast damage by 1d6.

Cloaks of Charisma up save DCs for any save-based invocations you may have and help make you a good "party face" with the Beguiling Influence invocation, while Cloak/Vest of Resistance are always great for boosting saves.

A masterwork or +1 chain shirt will be more than sufficient for protection as your invocations are your primary defenses, while a crossbow or morningstar would make a decent backup weapon if you're up against a magic-immune foe.

Warlock 12 / Chameleon 2 is a better entry than Warlock 5 / Chameleon 2 / Warlock 6-12....

Anyway for the gold, my "must have" list would include the following:

Handy Haversack
Spellsight Specticals
Loads of scrolls (Make sure that Assay Resistance is in there!)
Wand of CLW
Wand of Vigor
Mithril Chain Shirt or Breastplate +1 or 2
Fell Chasuble
Ring of Protection +1 or 2
Ring of Sustanence
