Please correct me on any point. The 2nd level of Eberron's Heir of Sibersys ( Mark of Making ) grants True Creation @ CL 15th once per day as a spell like ability... Thus creating 15 cubic feet of whatever you want. Per page 180 of the Player's Handbook under the section about Spell-Like Abilities they don't require XP. Platinum is worth 500gp / pound. Platinum weighs 21.45 g / cm^3. This equals about 1,339 pounds per cubic foot? (Gotten from some physics website, couldn't locate weight in D&D) Thus 15 cubic feet would contain 20,085 pounds of platinum... which would then be worth 10,042,500gp? Is there anything worth more per pound in D&D? Adamantine? Cold Iron? etc...

eRaz0r 07-27-05, 12:57 PM	And the errata says that True Creation, unlike other similar abilities, still costs XP to use. So to answer your question, it was True Creation and Mark of Making that were errata'd not the rules on (sp) and (su) abilities.

Sierra 08-02-05, 07:08 AM	Out of curiousity, how much XP would it cost if paying XP? If someone was really motivated maybe they could provide a simple equation or table that shows how much XP per million gp. :D I'd look it up myself but I don't have access to Eberron for a few weeks.

Thought Bottle aside, Wish can be used to create nonmagical items with a value of up-to 25000gp for 1/5th the XP cost it would with True Creation. It can also create magical items worth 12.5gp per XP invested, with a surcarge of 5k, but as True Creation can only create nonmagical items anyway I don't think that's an issue. I really think they screwed true creation up, as it shouldn't cost more to make money using a dedicated spell that it does using the generic wish spell.
