How much damage can you add in without extensive magical bonuses?
Using legitimate DnD techniques and feats?

I made this up for a campaign that favors oriental Adventures, but can uses other things in a pinch. This is without the infamous Iaijutsu.

Using a lvl 20 character (just so you see the full, non epic potential).

Required feats: (not including PrC feats
power attack
improved bull rush
Shock Trooper tactical feat
Leap attack (or whatever it's called, the one that raises your PA damage exchange by a point)
proficiency in desired weapon.

required/recommended classes:
fighter 17 lvls
Ronin (from Complete Warrior) 2 lvls.
Exotic Weapon Master 1 lvl (for the uncanny blow ability)

How to Do:
1) make sure you are good at jumping, and charge.
2)make sure you are using a 2 handed weapon and that it's drawn or being drawn (using that movement from the charge).
3) Use every point of PA that you can. If you use the leap attack feat, that's 60 points of damage right there. Thanks to SHock trooper, you can also negate your attack penalty too (at the price of your AC).
4) Use the banzai charge benefit to convert your AC penalty to -20, thus getting another +20 damage
5) Depending upon your strength score and weapon, your additional damage may or may not get you to 90-100 points of damage. Here are the potential additions:
sneak attack: 1d6 (from ronin)
weapon damage, most likely range is d8 or higher
strength bonus. Assume by lvl 20 you have at least a +4 str mod. (probably more if you're a fighter). With uncanny blow, you deal another 8 more points of damage
weapon bonus from magical enhancement, another potential 5 points.
weapon specialization (if taken) 2-4 points
weapon echantments that add damage 1-3d6 or so (depending if you add all 3 energy types).

total tally:
60 through steps 1-3
20 through step 4
damage potential of up to 49 or so points (with random numbers and set numbers).

Of course, you aren't likely to roll all max numbers if all these options are available, and there's always bane, critical hits, etc.

Don't forget you're also an invite to slaughter with the -40 penalty to your AC, but I hope you did this to finish the opponent. ;)

So, thrill me/kill me, what do you think?

Yeah, I realize that. The boards have been beyond flaky recently, and I didn't even see yours till just now.

*points to Hulking Hurler*

Seriously, it requires very little for it to be deadly in a normal campaign.

Thanks Previn.

How about.... Headlong Rush, Power Lunge, Power Attack, Leap Attack, Spirited Charge, Supreme Power Attack, attacking with a lance from horseback?

Are those the type of non-magical means you're refering to? Are those basically the backbone of the builds posted in that link?

I'm thinking that we've already blasted past 100 damage, even with a power attack as low as 5 points. No magic involved.

Because i'm bored of all of frenzied berzerkers use a cavalier. Unstoppable charge with a lance, 5x damage on a charge. So play a half orc paladin, ranger cavalier. Use at least +1 vaulting, valourious lance. Assuming your mount can be doing the leaps for you. Also see if you could get battle jump.
So that is 5X damage on a charge, *2 from vaulting, *2 valourious, *2 battle jump. So *8 damage on a charge. Using Leap attack and against your favoured enemy, to get 3(4)-1 ratio (It is argued how leap attack works since the wording is shoddy). Assuming a strength of 30 and power attacking for full and reightous furying. You would do 8*(15+60(80)+1d8+1+2(+2)) not including alot of other things i didn't think of right now.
Average damage of 660(836) points of damage, use combat brute the next round on the next opponent you charge to get 4-1 instead of 3-1 for PA. Obviously there are probably ways to get more PA that i was just to lazy to look for. For the world record http://boards.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=401662. Numbers in parenthesis are those against your Favored enemy. This isn't even using horse shoes of lions charge.
