I am taking the leadership feat and qualify for a 10th level cohort. The party is healing-light (I am the only healing as a paladin), so I will probably end up taking a straight clerid or mystic theurge.

I'm looking for ideas as to what type of character to seek... including feat selection.

The party is currently fairly set with offensive battle magic and offensive melee power. We have two tanks in a barbarian and a paladin. Ranged attacks are pretty much covered by the spellcasters, though I have kicked around the idea of an elven cleric-archer cohort.

Don't really need the cohort to do a lot from an offensive standpoint, so I am looking for healing and/or buff support.

Also note that there is significant downtime and resources to allow for item creation so that is a possibility.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Assuming a 32 point buy

10 Dwarven Cleric of Diety with Plant Domain (Your little brother/sister/cousin)

STR 10 (2)
DEX 12 (4)
CON 18 (10)
INT 10 (2)
WIS 16 (10) + 2 Level bumps = 18 Wis
CHA 10 (4)

Feats:
1) Extend Spell
3) Improved Toughness
6) Craft Wonderous
9) Lightening Reflexes

Add in any magic items to enchance the stats

Extend a MV and GMW giving you 20 durations or get a bead of Karma and let him use it for a 28 hour duration

Extend a Shield other with that Con he can make your tank a lot more effective at taking hits.

Start each combat with a Recitation followed up with a Bear's Heart.

From plant domain, Barkskin = 100 minutes (200 Extended)

I am sure the folks here can capitalize further on the Divine Metamagic train but its something I stay away from (to my detriment some would say).
