| rweiner03-10-05, 05:18 AM | I'm trying to make a general all-purpose/versatile mage for the current D&D campaign I'm playing in. I get to start out at 13th level, though I only get to pick enough gear for a starting character of 11th level. I want my mage to be versatile both in and out of combat. I'm very strongly considering making a wizard 9/initiate of the sevenfold veil 4. Any recommendations for or against this build? Also, what gear do you all suggest for such a character? I'm thinking about a +6 intelligence item, cloak of resistance +4, maybe a ring of counterspelling, and lots and lots of scrolls. As for feats, since I'll be concentrated in abjuration anyway, I'm thinking about taking the counterspelling feats (improved counterspell, reactive counterspell, etc.) I'm also looking for ideas for a good race? What do you think? Any suggestions/criticisms are welcome. Thanks. |
