Okay so build is standard gish
fighter 1 / wizard 6 / spellsword 3 / EK 10

BAB is 17 and CL is 17.

Now the trick was arcane striking for +17 to hit and +17d4 damage per hit.

along with a weapon that has the 5 elemental damage and haste/weapon of speed that's 23 dice per hit or 115 dice of damage.

With spell storing you add another 10 dice

and with a quickened meteor swarm you do another 24d6

Now we all know one more level of spellsword = spell channel fun...like prismatic spray :smirk: . But that means losing 9th level spells...assuming arcane strike works the way I want it too, it is not really worth it.

Now as pointed out un-named bonuses from the same source does not stack by the rule unless the source says it does...and arcane strike kinda hints at it does with the BAB limiter at the end. Since you BAB will ALWAYS be lower then spell level, unless it does stack that point makes no sense if you can only do it with one spell. But then again, it's most likely a poorly written limiter...yeah yeah working at an angle to break a feat hehe :) .

I thought it worked differently... you sacrifice a level 3 spell and gain +3 to attack and +3d4 to damage - I'll have to go reread the description.

Edit:

Yeah, I was right. A level 9 spell would give you +9/+9d4

It says you can convert one of you spells for +1 to hit per spell level and +1d4 damage per spell level as a free action. Since they are free action you could do it more then once a round. Now it's the sticky part of it doing so makes the bonuses stack...and that's where the clause of the limit of the bonus being your BAB comes in ;) .

Ah, I see what you are saying now. For some reason it never occurred to me that the bonus was unnamed and would stack. Sorry bout that.

Hehe, the only trouble is any sane DM would go NO NO AND GOD NO. Then you can pull out the arcane strike in dragon mag to make him really cry muhahaha...

there are some sane DM's that would simply have multiple encounters back to back, how many times can you do massive damage in one day? or why would you do massive damage to the 3000 2hp animated chairs coming at you?

Well, as long as you have 17 spell levels of spells...you can do it. The 3000 2 hp battle has come up...well only 200 but they were 8 hp skeletons. but really then a few fireball is all you need. With the dragon mag version it's as long as you have 5th level or higher spells slots. Yeah back to back encounters would counter this but your suppose to increase the CR for that. Anyways, it's mainly as a boss killer dealie, for regular guys your spells as a 17th level caster should be enough.

Hehe maybe mean liar would be so kind as to repost that build of his?

Do you think you can utilize a double weapon for arcane strike? Like wielding a quarterstaff with TWF, ITWF and maybe even Greater Two-Weapon Fighting.

Also, you should consider to make the build dependent on 6-8 levels of sorc. Like:

1 fighter
6 sorc
1 spellsword
10 ek
2 sorc or equivalent

More fodder for arcane strike = ouch.

You lose one BAB so one less to hit and 1d4 per hit which is no big deal. Well you do get more fodder true and 9th level spells. With double weapons you have to charge up each end seperately...so you could do it for 34 spell levels...but as a gish, it's really hard to invest in that many feats for TWF and to make it worth while, you'd want GTWF since otherwise you losing 17 spell levels for only 34d4. With just TWF, not even remotely worth it.
