Also Im pretty sure its going to be mostly against demons and possibly a demonlord at the end if that helps. I guess Id like to focus on casting and buffing. There was a thread on here at one time about how to boost your inspire courage to +10 or something. Should I go with sublime chord and get higher level spells and use words of creation to boost inspire courage? Or only start with bard and go to virtuoso? Nar Demonbinder for summon monsters? Ur Priest? Jade Phoenix Mage? There is a ToB build with bard/sublime chord/JPM that looked like it would be pretty good. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks. |

If you wish, you could try to convince your DM to let you use the Star Elf race from Unapproachable east (FR), which gets another +2 to charisma, so you could have 22 charisma before applying any increases for level, etc. beyond that some builds you might consider: Bard10/Sublime Chord2/Incantatrix8: tough to beat for a bard in terms of sheer casting power, since you have the draconic template for free make sure to take accelerate metamagic and practical metamagic and abuse them along with the incantatrix abilities in conjunction with song of arcane power. You'll want a fairly high intelligence score to use with spellcraft but, that just nets you more skill points to use as the party face and lore-guy. Bard6/Spelldancer2/druid1/Sublime Chord2/Fochluchan Lyrist8: BAB+15, 19th Arcane CL (9th level spells), 13th divine CL with practiced spellcaster (5th level spells), lots of bardic music and knowledge, no xp penalty due to lyrist. slightly multi attribute dependant...but again, a casting powerhouse, that can actually melee some... |
