Hi, I'll be making a 15th level 32 pt build char for a short side-kick campaign in the Underdark. Party will consist of 3 characters total, no idea what the others are playing.

Any useful prestige classes and races (including up to +1 LA) in the underdark book?

I usually like to play strong fighter-based characters with a gish twist,
considering dwarven fig1/wiz4/runesmith4/spellsword1/eldritch knight x.

Optionally I could go for a rogue type character (whisper gnome).

As I don't have the underdark book (or other FR books for that matter), FR sourcebook tips are highly welcomed.

Forget to mention, all complete and races books are allowed.

mineral warrior template is pretty good, it can be found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031003e) . I like it for a whisper gnome rogue/fighter or rogue/ranger. Very survivable (+6 con, DR, N-armour!!), not at all likeable (-4 charisma) & you can burrow...what more could you want? ranger sub levels are good for a better companion which burrows.

How on earth (a pun it seems) can mineral warrior be only +1 LA?
If my DM allows this, I simply have to use it.

ALot of the more recent emplates seem really scary.
The build i'd use:
whisper gnome mineral warrior ranger2/rogue7/invisible blade5
12 BaB, ok skills, more HP then you can shake a stick at & 7D6 SA. The ranger keps BaB starts you off with better HP & gives TWF, the best route for a combat rogue IMO.
