| phantasy_guy05-22-05, 12:23 PM | Ok so heres how things stand. I'm creating a human Druid with vow of poverty, that takes all 10 levels of MOMF and the first 3 of WSH. I'm playing in a low magic world and I'm just checking to see if this is as good of an idea as i think it is. here are my stats as i rolled them, before level bonuses and VOP bonuses. 16 11 14 17 12 15 What are some good forms to keep in mind with this? I assume this has been done before but i wanna try it out. Joe |

| Moon-Lancer05-23-05, 02:18 AM | not really sure. I could help you out more if you were a level 18 druid. Im guessing creatures with good ex abilites are what you want. Dragons are worthless (sadly) without their supernatural ability. Maybe you can take the dragon wildshape? Or Exalted wildshape. I would Absolutely take intutive attack. its good for forms that dont have high strangth and you want to hit with ranged attacks. I would put your best stats into mental ones. Wis being the highest. I would then improve your wis/con/dex/str with your vop increases in that order. If you wanted more of a brute, you could go the strangth way and dop intutive attack. |

Then again I've never been much on shifting forms. |
| Todd05-23-05, 08:24 AM | I think that it's a very good choice. MoMF allows one to overcome the limitations of VoP like movement pretty easily. VoP bonuses also enhance the Wildshape forms so it's pretty potent. If Unearthed Arcana is allowed then I would reccomend the Wildshape Ranger variant or the Druidic Avenger for entry into MoMF. I personally like the Ranger entry for the extra skills but that's me. Dragon Mag also apparently had a Wildshape Monk variant in one issue. |
| Taliesin5205-23-05, 10:38 PM | Personally I'd opt for a level of monk, but I'm a big fan of the wisdom bonus, especially since you're physical stats are mostly irrelevant. As for forms, Wartroll is one of my favorites, and you get it halfway through MoMF. |
| Surreal05-23-05, 11:30 PM | MoMF's best feature is (arguably) gaining all the ex abilities of your wildshape form at 7th level. If you don't need ooze/elemental/dragon forms, then you can put those 3 levels into something else. Finishing Warshaper isn't that bad since it gives you full BAB and the 5th level ability lets you change as much as you want during a single wildshape, saving all your wildshape uses for those wildshape feats (Lion's Pounce from Complete Divine comes to mind). Some levels of Nature's Warrior are nice too, also offering full BAB and other nifty abilities (and another spell level never hurts). As mentioned earlier, monk is also good for all the wisdom goodies. If allowed, Singh Ranger (from Oriental Adventure) is a good progression to get into as well, offering rage like abilities and pounce at 4th level. As for forms, War Troll (MM3) is one of the best you can get. Try to find the "Master of Many Forms Bible" somewhere on the Prestige Class forum, as it has a rather exhaustive listing of the best forms you can take. |
| djinni05-24-05, 07:50 AM | As for forms, War Troll (MM3) is one of the best you can get. Wartroll is one of the best since all your gear remains on you (humanoid). but in a party a beholder would be a solid choice as well. as long as you took "assume supernatural ability." to get the 10 eye rays or the antimagic cone. |
| Ander Spectacular05-24-05, 08:47 AM | If you are using VoP, just make sure you pick up exalted wildshape and stay in blink dog form all day. Blinking and dimension door at will are nice, especially when you look so nice and unthreatening. Also, celestial <any large> bear is nice because you get a free smite and a few other goodies. -AS- |

| SKB05-24-05, 01:08 PM | Natural Spell, PHB, so you can cast spells in Wildshape form. |
| nachtmeister05-24-05, 01:41 PM | 3 levels of Warshaper are enough - you get fast healing ( regeneration ) on other ways |
| phantasy_guy05-24-05, 02:17 PM | 1st off i thought shifters speach allowed me to cast in animal form and 2ndly i plan on taking the 5th level of warshaper for multimorph |
| Taliesin5205-24-05, 03:48 PM | 1st off i thought shifters speach allowed me to cast in animal form and 2ndly i plan on taking the 5th level of warshaper for multimorph You can cast any verbal spell with shifter's speech. However, shifter's speech doesn't give you fingers to wiggle or anything. Thus if you plan on spending most of your time in nonhumanoid-ish forms, natural spell's still necessary. |
| phantasy_guy05-24-05, 04:15 PM | hrmm...... good point, which feat should i lose so that i can choose natural spell? |
| phantasy_guy05-25-05, 12:16 PM | i hate bumping but oh well.............. :bump: |
| EldritchEvos05-26-05, 08:11 AM | I hate MoMF!!!!!!! PLEASE WIZARDS!!! BRING BACK SHIFTER!!!!! now that i got that outta way... This is a pretty cool idea..just helpin you along:bump: (P.S. I saw the 3.5 shifter posted but i don't see why wizards had to make another shifting class if Shifter is good at it in the first place |
| necrosnoop11005-26-05, 02:09 PM | In another thread Catharz suggested to me the following build which might suit you well: Human Vow of Poverty Divine Minion LA+1/ Master of many forms 10/ Warshaper 5/ XXX 4 |
| phantasy_guy05-26-05, 06:55 PM | Where is Divine Minion located and I'm new to my group, so i don't know how the DM will react to the build i'm planning to use as it is, if i do your thing i dunno, it could be bad. As i don't know him well yet i'm gonna try and stay away from to strong of a cheese flavor, don't wanan give him teh wrong impression if you get what i mean. |
