Scarletknight 11-28-05, 10:37 AM	Ok I am playing a DM made half-dragon so I could start with no CL modifiers. Basically I am progressing like a dragon disciple just us a normal fighter class. Weird I know but I like it and it is giving much storyline to my char. The question I have is at 4th lvl I get my claws, if I multi-attack what is there BAB? Is it the same as my normal BAB for a weapon or do I take a penalty? Anyone let me know so I can start planing out my battle stratagies for when I hit 4th. Thanks
Grizzled Gryphon 12-20-05, 02:06 AM	Well, claws are natural attacks, so they would be at your highest BAB. If they are your primary attack, that is. As far as primary attack goes, this is only natural attacks, not weapons, or the like. If you are also using a weapon, then using your off hand claw to also attack is the same as using an off hand weapon under two weapon fighting. Thus, it would be at -5 to hit. If you are only using your claws, though, then both would be at your full BAB. However, you only get one attack with each. Granted, at 4th level, that is better than any weapon, besides ones with the speed enhancement, but you will very probably get better damage out of a two handed weapon. I think, anyway. You will be able to determine that with some simple math comparisons. Hwever, IIRC, the damage for your claws is 1D4. In that case, 2 claws with a 18 Str averages 12 damage, while a great sword once with the same strength averages 13. Not to mention, the higher threat range with a great sword.
X-Codes 12-20-05, 02:24 AM	As a dragon-type creature, you qualify for Rapidstrike. Just keep that in mind if you want to use your claws to attack.
