| The Heretic07-15-05, 03:25 PM | I'm beginning a new character in a new game tonight, I'll be playing a 1/2 Giant Monk lvl 1. This is a non-psionic game, but the DM enjoyed my character concept and gave me a go-ahead for the race and the potential (but not a promise) of being able to gain wild talents (think 1E and 2E) @ 10th. Having perused Mean Liar's monk guide, I asked if I could take Jotunbrud and have it stack with my 1/2 giant bulky build ability (virtually the same thing as Jotunbrud), and he ok'd it without hesitation. Now I find myself with size Huge monk unarmed damage and +8 to grapple, bullrush, sunder and trip, and I'm uncertain how I should pattern my build after 1st level, wherefore I need the help of the CO board. Psionics is off limits, but everything else is considered kosher (including Improved Natural Weapon feat). Str 22 Dex18 Con20 Int13 Wis18 Char8 Its a high powered campaign setting so he boosted our stats to assist in survivability. I'm a little wary of High Powered campaigns, but I want to give it my best shot. Keep in mind that psionic classes/abilities/feats are a no-no. What say you, CO board? |
| Baneslayer07-15-05, 05:11 PM | What do you want? You already got handed the store, just stay a monk. Get Bracers of Armor when you can afford a pair. When you aren't Grappling, Flurry as much as possible. Don't bother with weapons, your huge mitts do more damage. M1 - Dodge, Imp. Grapple (bonus) M2 - Deflect Arrows (bonus) M3 - Combat Reflexes M6 - Combat Expertise, Imp. Trip (bonus) M9 - Karmic Strike M12 - Mobility M15 - Elusive Target M18 - Imp. Toughness |
