| slapperpaasofaen03-03-06, 04:31 AM | Hello all :) My GM just recently stopped his way out of control campaign, reset it, and made us start playing with ''New'' characters a 100 years later. He gave us 21 levels to play with here, and since most players are starting either fighters or wizards, I considered it an advantage for me to take up the druid and/or cleric role. Ofcourse since i have barely been able to create anything comparable to the other munchkiners beyond level 10, i desperately need some help from all you D&D gurus. :D , I am allowed to pick wierd races as long as my Background story gives a good reason as to why, so thats good. I only have 80 starting points to play with, so any race with good stat bonuses wouldnt give me anything. I am offcourse allowed to prestige class, and basically... i just need the most damn powerful druid-cleric i can get. let me list for your convenience: Money - Normal from DMG PHB and DMG - 3.0 (but for prestige classes from other books i may use 3.5) Classes preferred - Druid and cleric classes. Races : Any Starting stats - 80 points. levels - 21. Theres absolutely nobody able to help me or wishing to? damn.. that really sucks. Actually the reason for me needing such a powerful character is really that i have to keep up with others in battle ''scenes'', it aint fun to be killed in the first round, and yes, that happened alot with my not so munchkined, divine level 2, lvl 24 character (i said his campaign was out of control). Anyway theres alot more roleplaying going on in this campaign, but i really cant help myself wishing not to die whenever there's violence in the game, which is why i asked you guys for help in the first case. |

| slapperpaasofaen03-03-06, 07:47 AM | Oh sorry... i was under another impression. I will post one ASAP (its just that it sucked) |
| slapperpaasofaen03-03-06, 12:03 PM | Okay lets delete the cleric part and just go druid. I got my gm to give me infinite wildshape per day, so thats pretty good. I was thinking he should be as versatile as possible (being able to heal real good, fight good.. sweet spells and so on), But mostly focusing on combat situations, and his Wildshape forms. I was thinking going up a level or two in warshaper, and then just going all druid, but i really havent got a clue what other prestige classes i would benefit from. |
| Khazra Reborn03-03-06, 12:32 PM | human saint druid19 (ECL21) the saint is from the BoED and gives huge amounts of abilities for 2LA including wis to AC. Feats: 1. PA, improved bullrush 3. improved initiative 6. natural spell 9. leap attack 12. shock trooper 15. combat brute 18. powerlunge Get a valourus (UE) necklace of natural attacks(savage species), embrace your 3.0 DMG and buy a suit of rhino hide armour and wilding clasps (masters of the wild). Wildshape into a dire tiger and make full attack charges with *3 damage, adding 2*str mod to damage and adding 28 damage/attack from PA. Its fun! Alternately, good options are persistant druids. druid16/sacred exorcist2/druid17-19 go for persistant divine metamagic. Persist bite of the werebear (spell compendium) and natures avatar (CD). wildshape into a legendary ape and ride a triceratopscompanion. |
| slapperpaasofaen03-03-06, 01:22 PM | Thank you for the feedback man. Appreciate it! Now what do i do if you consider most pc have an ac higher than 40? and most monsters have dmg reduction.. does your build still work? |
| AlienFromBeyond03-03-06, 04:49 PM | Level 21 eh? Honestly, 21 levels of Druid wouldn't hurt you, and best of all, it garuntees the ability to take Epic Spellcasting, which is part of what makes spellcasters a no brainer in Epic levels. |
| slapperpaasofaen03-05-06, 03:55 PM | i have never played epic before, so just wondering - what exactly qualifies for epic spellcasting? do i have to go up in druid only to get it?.. if what ive read on these forums are true, it just doesnt pay off for a druid to prc at all? Man... i thought that with a good little thinking and some help from you guys and could come up with something Really awesome. Are you quite sure there isnt a way to optimize this guy, and still get all his inherent cool benefits, as well as getting epic spellcasting? There must be some way to make him much cooler, and still getting those, than just going all druid? or am i wrong? please help me out here. I know i must **** you guys off a bit, but i wont demand anything, if you at all would help me i would be eternally grateful. |
| Khazra Reborn03-05-06, 04:32 PM | 21 levels of druid or at least classes which advance wildshape will get you some great new forms. Behemeoth eagle and gorilla from the epic level handbook are both pretty good though my preference is for the gorilla. druid19/warshaper2 in behemoth gorilla form would be sweet. 35str, 24dex, 39con and +22NA is awesome. 2 6D8 claws, a 6D8 bite and a 12D8 rend is nice but being able to use weapons if i want is nice to. |
| NotBruce03-05-06, 05:46 PM | here is a fun one 11 Druid 10 shifter (masters of the wild) and for your one epic feat take colossal shape. Epic spell casting is more powerfull (druid lvl 21) but colossal is just too much fun. |
