Great crossbow feats:

exotic weapon proficiency

improved critical

Epic Feats: Instant reload( allows me to fire my crossbow as often as a bow)
distant shot ( I take no attack penalty for shooting beyond the first range incriment) If you are wondering why I have 2 epic feats at 21st level, I took the 12th level in fighter as me 21st.

possesions:

mundane: sythe (for coupe de grace), tree stand, elven rope 20ft, elven tree tent, grapling hook, 2x bag of marbles(useful as nonlethal caltrops), mess kit, folding saw, masterwork poison makeing tools, masterwork weapon smith tool, flint and steel, 5x torches, 10x tinder twig. 10x darts, black bodysuit, ink, 20gp and 500 crossbow bolts

major magic: mantle of great stealth (+30 unnamed bonus to hide and move silently checks, constant 20% miss chance as blur spell, and constant nondetcetion spell)
boots of swiftness (double land speed, +20 competance to jump, tumble, climb, and balance. jump is not limited by height, 3/day haste for 20 rounds, gains evasion abality)

+1 improved shadow/silent moves, soulfire, aquitic bracers of armor. this gives me a +10 competance bonus to hide and move silently checks, makes me immune to death effects, abality drain and the like, as well as allowing me to move freely under water without the need for swim checks and gives me a continous water breathing effect
this was made using rules presented in the arms and equiptment guide.

Loud sniper (title in progress) made using weapons of legacy.
omen:work in progress.
+4 distance, exit wound, exploding great crossbow, with the following legacy abalites: +5 to craft[poisonmaking], 3/day cure moderate wounds. 3/day cure serious wounds, shocking legacy (5/day take a standard action to imbune weapon with electricty for +5d6 damage)

penalties for wielding (made with table 4-1 page 185) -2 attack, -3 save, -16 hp. all of which have been negated by magic items bought with money saved by makeing this a weapon of legacy.

in case you were wondering about the level in warmage, it allows me to cast accuracy 3/day which doubles the range incriment of my great crossbow.

by the way, how would the bonuses to the range incriment stack? would it be:

A: 150x2(distant abality)=300 300x2 (accuracy)=600 600x1.5 (far shot) =900
B: 150+150 (distant abality) + 150 accuracy=450 450x1.5 (far shot) =675
C: 150x1.5 = 225+150 (distant abality)+150 (accuracy)= 525

since a great crossbow is a projectile weapon that has a maximum range of 10 incriments, and I will no longer take a penalty for shooting beyont the first i can easily hit people several thousand feet away espically when i am +32 to hit +52 if i cast insightful strike. with the exit wound and explosive abalites, combined with a good poison ,I will be able to dessimate my oppoments in no time.

Strongheart Halfling Fighter 4/Ranger 1/Warsling Sniper 6/Cragtop Archer 4/Deepwood Sniper 3/Peerless Archer 3

Halfling Warsling with this is 1d6+STR+Power Arrow, 19-20/x5 and get a free attack on anyone within five feet of your target, all with no penalties at about 800 feet, assuming fourty feet vertical clearance.

Good times.

You can't use a fighter bonus feat to choose an epic feat unless your fighter level is 20+.

first where did you get those classes? second do they have abalites that work over a thousand feet? third from what you tell me about that build, it is vastly inferior to my build. mine can shoot several THOUSAND feet without penalty with no need for vertical clearance, and with the magic abalites of by Great crossbow and skirmish bonuses, your free attack is not so great. Look before you leap dude.

as to the bonus feat thing. what you read in the book was an EXAMPLE of a single-class fighter. the only requirement for takeing Epic bonus feats is CHARACTER level. a lot of People fail to realize that they neglected to put character and class before 20th level many times in the book. For example, The fameous spells per day thing. the book says 20th level, but they mean class level. if it was character level, cross classing into a spell casting class after 20th level would be useless. "Player: I take a level in sorcerer as my 21st level. DM: OK, but you spells per day is a Big fat ZERO.

Warsling Sniper= Races of Faerun
Cragtop Archer= Races of Stone
Deepwood Sniper= Masters of the Wild
Peerless Archer= Silver Marches
I think that's the range increment. Meaning he'd be able to shoot 10 times the range to 8000 feet. I haven't checked over the classes myself, so I could be wrong.

His standpoint is that a fighter's bonus feat list is unique from an epic fighter's feat list. You're an epic character, yes, but not an epic fighter. You pick your 21st level feat as an epic character, but your fighter feat choices are those of a 12th level fighter, and, concurrently, not epic.

'Fraid not. From the FAQ:

To get an epic bonus feat, the class level that gives you the bonus feat has to be an epic level (21 or higher.)

This is part of an answer specifically to a question regarding a 17th level cleric/3rd level fighter, and whether the character could take an epic feat as his bonus feat when he hits fourth level fighter.

Until your fighter level hits 21, your fighter bonus feats have to be non-epic.

Where on the Fighter bonus feat list is an epic feat then? The 12th level fight feat must be chosen from the pre-epic fight bonus feat list.

What's to stop every character from taking the first two levels of Fighter after 21 just to pick up 2 epic feats? Bonus Epic feats are the reason to take a base class past 20 or a PrC past 10.

And as to your remark about taking the first level of sorceror when you are past 20, yes you would gain all the benefits of a level 1 sorceror, including spells per day. Same thing with taking the first (or 12th) level of fighter after level 20. You gain all the benefits of a fighter, which is a choice of a bonus feat from the non-epic fighter bonus feat list.

Read the rules. As suggested, using your Fighter bonus feat for an epic feat is illegal. Also:
Distant Shot [Epic]
Prerequisites
Dex 25, Far Shot, Point Blank Shot, Spot 20 ranks.

Benefit
You may throw or fire a ranged weapon at any target within line of sight, with no penalty for range.
You can shoot anything you can see. And so can anyone else with this feat; it makes range increments irrelevant.

The problem here, is, of co urse, that something at 8000 feet is what, -200 to your spot check, and you can't see it anyways.

There is that. So the hard part of maximizing epic range is maximizing Spot.

A few levels of Cragtop Archer solves that problem, I believe.

That doubles you effective range, sure. But you still have motivation to maximise your Spot modifier.
Caelic

True, and a +100 Spot modifier is tricky at level 21. I think it could be done, but you'd really have to work at it.

Nah.

+30 item (Competence)
+23 ranks
+23 item familiar
+13 wisdom
+2 elf senses
+10 (taking 10, use exemplar)

101, every time.

:P

(Oh, and this is level 20). Clearly this can be made higher, with Alertness, Skill Focus, Marshal, etc...

I guess you are right about the bonus feat thing, so i changed instant reload to greater weapon specalization and i will change the BAB and saves to where i took the 12th level in fighter before epic for the better BAB.

Althought I will not have a huge bonus to spot , I think i will still be able to see my target from a great distance, as long he is not concealed or hideing, since it does not take much skill to spot some walking out in the open. besides a spyglass can half the range penalty, since it makes objects appear closer. and my tree stand doubles my range of vision.

can someone heop he with these TWO things.
1: which method of stacking the Bonuses did I do Right?
2: anyone know of a good omen for the legacy weapon?
I was thinking having the crossbow give my the abality to focus my vision to give me the benefits of a spyglass. there is a piece of armor in the book that does the same thing, so It would be within the powers of the omen.
