I do plan on using scrolls and wands when the time comes, but I'm going to be a jack of all trades in general. Now with only medium BAB and a 14 str, Power attack doesn't seem to be as powerful of an option as a full BAB class with 18 str. In the same right, I don't have the rogue's ability to Sneak attack to increase my damage. I do plan on using infusions to add whatever Bane to my weapons, so that increases my enhancement bonus by 2 and adds 2d6 damage. Other than that I'm not thinking of many other ways I can increase my damage, other than straight enhancing my weapons. Not to mention making items that add to my strength. Are there any other options for an artificer that really help boost the melee damage capability? In addition, with only simple weapon proficiency, it would probably be more viable to go sword and board for the extra AC, than the minimal bonus I get on going two hand, right? Then again, I could just make an animated heavy sheild later... I'm also considering taking Exotic Weapon proficiency at level 6 to maybe spice things up a bit, but I'm not sure on anything yet. Anyone want to give me their 2 cents? :) It'd be appriciated. |
