| AramilWindwalker09-24-05, 12:38 PM | I personally prefer swash3/fighter2/dervish10/tempest5 simple, yet effective, with str and int to damage cover you weapons in things like wounding 8 con damage a round is not good for anyone hmm, no dervish, that's the sort of thing you mention in the original post. |
| Shike09-24-05, 12:41 PM | Unfortunately the only DM I have right now doesn't allow the Dervish Class. |
| AramilWindwalker09-24-05, 12:52 PM | if you put what is and isn't allowed i can work better |
| Shike09-24-05, 12:57 PM | Dervish and Tattooed Monk are currently the only two PRestige Classes i know of that are banned. |
| Shike09-28-05, 09:35 PM | :bump: |
| 20goingon123209-28-05, 10:03 PM | Rng11/ChampofCorellon(whichever the level for Dex to dam is)/Swash3 Int+Dex to dam, Ranger Favoured Enemy OR Swash3/Ftr8/Champ(whichever)/Tempest5 (or Duelist for extra d6 damage) |

| Xykon10-04-05, 03:14 AM | Any restriction on materials? How about races? |
| NullAndVoid10-04-05, 11:59 AM | This isn't necessarily the best combat 2wf (as it is relatively nerfed against un-crittable opponents), but I played it and did more damage than our party tank in every battle. Here is the best build that I could come up with. Has the combat ability (heck, this build can go melee or hide'n'throw) and the defensive ability. Basically revolves around massive SA and being Kelvezu (giving another 8d6 SA damage). I tried to make it playable 1-20 and epic ready (I would take a few levels of Thief-Acrobat to get ready for Epic Dodge) and find a way to get slippery mind so that Dexterous Fortitude/Will are availalbe. At 21 I would take Lingering damage to double your SA damage === Build === Tiefling (+0 LA version) Rogue 3/Warlock 2/I.B. 5/Assassin 8/Master Thrower 2 [Using authors Invisible Blade unofficial errata] F1 Weapon Finesse F3 Weapon Focus (Dagger) F6 TWF F9 ITWF F12 Point Blank Shot F15 Precise Shot F18 Staggering Strike, Quick Draw (Master Thrower) === By LvL 20 === Improved Uncanny Dodge Improved Evasion Invocations: Devil's Sight, Darkness Free Action Feint A Throw Weapon Trick (I would take Doubletoss) +9d6 SA +16 BaB === Advantages of This Build === 1) You are tiefling... tiefling = outsider, outsider + polymorph = kelvezu = a medium sized (equipment still works), flying, 31 base DEX (before your equipment), +15 NA creature with +8d6 SA = VERY GOOD KNIFE FIGHTER 2) You have Hide in Plain Sight and the ability to see in magical darkness 24 hours a day or create darkness any number of times per day. You can hide and Doubletoss daggers at opponents (hide is the only way to get be "invisible" against true seeing opponents) or just sneak around/away if things get hairy. Hell, I have made a standard attack and then hid/moved to the opponents back side only to make a full attack next round. 3) You have the fun swift spells from CAdv thanks to Assassin. Oh, and Dimension Door, Freedom of Movement, Greater Invisibility, etc. (Damn I wish polymorph was on this list!) 4) You can go melee (+16 BaB and ITWF == 6 attacks without haste/daggers of speed that each do 9d6 or 17d6 SA damage on a successful bluff. Polymorphing instantly gives you a +25 to AC plus your equipment so you can go toe to toe with many beings. With staggering strike they can only make one action...) or distance with Doubletoss (and Assassin has a fun spell that lets you SA from any distance). 5) Can still play the skillmonkey. You can max UMD and act as that rogueish "support caster" (hey, polymorph fits on a wand... hello mr Kelvezu), keep up with Search/Disable Device, etc. 6) Impvroved Uncanny Dodge AND Improved Evasion |
| Khazra Reborn10-04-05, 12:30 PM | ranger11 is generally a good starting point because the feats are free, you can abandon dex & it has full BaB. 2 good builds for a ranger base: ranger11/hammer of moradin4/battlesmith5 1.5/1.0 str for hands +wis to damage with warhammers. ranger11/fighter1/disiciple of dispater8 kind of sickening just because it falls into place so nicely. i also really like abusing the chameleon... half elf swashbuckler6/fighter2/champion of correlantian2/chameleon10 take combat & divine abilities mimic SA & one other ability boons +6 dex & int cast divine power & favour whenever need be. You'll have 20 BaB, dex to hit +4 compotence & +5 from DF. Damage is longsword(1D8)+magic enhance+dex+int+5(DF)+4 compotence human rokugan ninja9/rogue1/chameleon10 feat:otherworly arcane & combat focus mimic SA purchase a wand of wraithstrike & 2* draconic polymorph into a kelvezu & cast nightstalkers transform. thats a total of 18 D6 SA i believe. take the craven feat & you can do more damage then you ever imagined a sneak attacker could. hunter of evil: human ranger4/fighter2/stalker of kharash2/ranger5-16 uses 2*hunting valourus longswords & boots of psionics lions charge feats: 1.PA, favoured of companions 3.OTWF 5.improved bullrush 6.shock trooper 9.favoured PA 12.improved favoured enemy evil 15.nemesis 18.leap attack ok, your favoured enemy evil bonus is 1+6+3=10*2=20 on a charge all damage is doubled & your PA is insane. charisma abuser: magic blooded human marshal4/paladin4/fighter2/chameleon10 uses: gauntlets of heartfelt blows,2* valourus shortswords, boots of lions charge. feats needed: TWF,ITWF,GTWF,PA,Divine Might, able learner, extra smite*3 combat & divine focus mimic SA + rage abiltiy boons+6 cha & str (still need to hit) basicly, charge with divine might, over the top & possibly smite evil (for cha o hit).So you add cha to damage *3 then *2 for charge. With a possible cha of 42, thats an extra 96 damage per attack! |
| Khazra Reborn10-04-05, 12:42 PM | almost forget, monks can be sickingly good at TWF. Pretty basic, an initaite of the draconic mysteries gets damage die increases to D12. With a large monk wearing a fanged ring & improved natural attack damage per fist is 6D12! With a monk11/Initate9 your making 5 attacks a round, so 30D12 damage, average 195. |
