| samoosa69101-04-04, 06:35 PM | in an effort to find that perfect min/maxed buid/room for role play i have come up with 3 or 4 builds, i know caster level is important but i'd like your opinions on which is your favorite and why (other than caster level) stats: str 9 dex 14 con 16 int 20 wis 11 cha 13 (set in stone) build 1) pure fighter wizard5/fighter2/spellsword 10 channel spell hp's 151 ignore asf 30% (mithril breast plate) caster level at the end of the build 10 bab: 14 pure caster: wizard 5/elemental savant 10 caster level by end of build 14 immunities to sleep, paralysis, criticals, and flanking + one element hp's as wizard bab as wizard hybrid wizard5/fighter1/ek2/spellsword1/ek8 hp's aprox 138 bab 14 caster level by the end of the build 15 ignore asf 10% (mitrhil chainshirt) 2 bonus feats (point blank + precise) your advice is always welcome, and thanks agian in advanced. |
| JoostBuijs01-04-04, 06:39 PM | If you liek builds in that sence, I suggest you take a look at this thread: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=150451 |
| Kenkai01-04-04, 06:40 PM | why are two of those builds level 17, and the one in the middle is level 15? |
| MikeN01-04-04, 07:44 PM | I'd have to go with elemental savant (air). Fly at will, and give your side good tactical support (this also includes conjured allies and/or illusions as well as the basic spells that change the battlefield in your favor + some blasting when appropriate). If your party already has such a character, you may want to go with another design though... |

| Kenkai01-04-04, 09:12 PM | so...many...periods... anyway. full wizard will be far more powerful then the hybrids, just won't have as much survivability. #2 is my choice, i still don't understand why its character level 15 while the others are 17. what level are you going to play in your campaign? |
| cowdragon01-04-04, 10:08 PM | I hear alot of folks talking up the air elemental savant. However, the merits of the earth savant are pretty cool as well under 3.5 rules the earth elemental savant can move through the earth only to come up directly underneath opponents. This is better than invisibility...it even works against dragons and their blindsense!!! I think it does anyway. The Cowdragon :mage: |
| Snow Savant01-04-04, 10:37 PM | With those stats, I'd go for the Elemental Savant. With your high CON, you'll be quite robust and more survivable than your average Mage. Have fun! Snow :) |
| samoosa69101-05-04, 12:27 PM | thanks for the tips, I came up with another one after seeing the 3.5 gish thread.. tell me what you guys think: wizard 4/fighter2/spellsword3/elemental savant10/wizard1 the last level is just because i couldn't figure out a filler caster level would be 17 just enough for level 9 spells hit die would be: 4d4 + 2d1 0 + 3d8 + 10d4 + 1d4 + con bab would be 2 + 5 + same as wizard in last levels feats would be point blank + precise + rapid reload (xbow) i'm so tempted buy this, but i'd like your guys opinions? |
