Random Hero 04-22-06, 04:37 AM	<Not sure if this belongs here - but the CO boards seems to house the best of the best Number Crunching Denizens of the WoTC boards > I got to thinking tonight about Multi-armed creatures, Thri-Kreen in particular. Always loved these lil Bugs cause they always struck me as just .. a niffty race. But .. its seems that in all books they seem to still think like .. 2 armed beings - just with a second set of 2 arms. and that struck me as .. odd - wouldn't something with more then 2 arms have weapons designed to be used with more then 2 arms? 3 handed swords + shield - or 4 handed spears .. Crazy-ass lookin Bows? What happons if you use a 2 handed weapon with 3 or even 4 arms. How to you work out the + strength bonus. If 2 hands = 1.5x your str .. Would 4 hands = 3x your strength? yoru primary hand gets 1x strength with 1 handed weapon .. what if you used your offhand weapon with 2 hands? .. would you gets 1x your strength? < .5 for offhand x 2 > Or would you get 1.5x you strength for useing it with 2 hands? agian - what if you used it with your 3 offhands? is it possable to use 2 2handed weapons? .. if so how do you deal with strength mods? If you have more hands - can you use bigger weapons? What do you all think??

Next, for each additional hand used you add an additional 1/2 your Strength modifier. There are no rules for dual-wielding greatswords when you have four arms. Note that Savage Species is a 3.0 source. You would be much better off just asking your DM what the effects of any given option would be.
