no need to say more ...

Oh really?

You don't see the point in giving some inkling on what sort of PC you'd be looking for? Wizard? Rogue? Basketweaver?

Have you read the Build FAQ? There are plenty of builds in there — if you don't care what you're playing, just pick one and stop at level 3.

3 levels of something from core. Ok. The 3.5 DMG is core last I was aware. I say a Commoner1/Warrior1/Expert1. And I want you to play it to the best of your ability...with a CE alignment. :D

Now are you sure you don't want to tell us what the **** you want before you waste space?

Hehehe... Anyway, many core games don't let you use some of the alternate races from the DMG though...

lol. That's very true. I was just going unnecessarily far to prove a point. ;)

I was saying that cause I had pity on the poor sod. I mean, he might simply be clueless, young, and have english as a second language. Or he could have been posting while high or something. Give him a little credit!

Well, judging by his post count and join date he's very new. So let's not pile on too much.

Anyway: More detail is better — You said "core," which is a nice start (however: Psionics is not really core: It's in the SRD, but "free" doesn't make it core. Anyway, But we also need your desired PC type, the size/makeup of the group you're in, DM's style, type of campaign, etc.

There was actually a thread on 3-level builds a few months back. Caelic's contribution was a half-elf with some ungodly diplomacy score. It's almost surely not what you're looking for, but it was extremely potent.

So where is that thread of 3-level builds, seeing as how the search function isnt working...

Err...the thread didn't go very far, to be honest. I wanted to see what people could come up with in three levels, but it didn't get a lot of submissions.

Mine was Jack Honeytongue, the half-elven bard2/marshal 1. Interested's made a lot of refinements since then, but I could dig up the build if the OP's after a diplo-monster.

dont be so hard on me I posted in a hurry :D

so Im in a group composed of
wood elf fighter 4
wood elf dual wielder ranger 4
dwarf fighter 3
orc barbarian 3
2 elan psichyc warriors 3

so I guess I should play something other than a fighting character

By the way you are right english is not my mother language

Your group's going to need a lot of healing and buffing... cleric 3 is probably the best start.

Are Feats or Classes from Dragon Magazine allowed?

No trapfinder, no healing, no real caster — Oy.

Don't try to fill all the holes in this party — there are far too many. Pick one, and when the other PCs start dropping like flies hopefully those players wil fill another weak spot.

Core, I'd go Cleric3 or Druid3. Both have good survivability and can help the group with healing/buffing while still being good physical combatants.
