| FireAge07-02-04, 10:48 AM | I am designing an egoist as a backup character for my arcane trickster. I just can't seem to make it very powerfull. We're using 3.0 but I can use most 3.5 books anyway. Books: all wotc, dragon Egoist 12 Feats: Otherworldly, Extend Power, Persistant Power, Maximize Power, 2 left 32 pt buy: STR 14 DEX 12 CON 14 INT 14 WIS 14 CHA 14 Setup: polymorph extended 24 h-> 9 pp Leonal: STR 27 DEX 17 CON 20 expansion persistant 24 h-> 11 pp +5 enlargement to strength animal affinity extended maximized 24 h -> 11 pp +5 change to base STR Belt of Giant Strength +4 Total Strength: 41 (+15) Power Points: 63 + 66 bonus = 129 Claws of the Vampire extended 24 h -> 7 pp 1d8 +15 damage = healing Improved Biofeedback extended 24 h -> 7 pp first 15 damage per hit is converted to subdual damage Natural Armor extended 24 h -> 9 pp +4 natural armor So I use 54 pp out of my total of 129 to be tough all day and get lot's of bonus pp. And now what? I can do 1d8 + 15 damage twice at +21/+16 and that's it. I can't find a single usefull psychometabolism offesive spell. And the rest of the spells won't have very high DC's. Best I can do is dissolving touch for 7d6 damage or breath of the dragon for 11d4 damage costing me 7 and 11 pp. Anybody got any idea how to better this build? Maybe take a different focus, dex maybe or con? Or convince my DM to use the 3.5 egoist. |
