3.5 Cancer mage? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-17-06, 08:29 PM Has anyone seen any reprints or user re-creations of the 3.0 Cancer Mage?
Or, for that matter, anything similar or equally vile.

I'm constructing the most vile 17th lvl party to throw at my heroes that I can come up with.

So far it's the Fleshwarper, the Blighter, the Verminfriend, a particularly nasty Dirgesinger, the Oozemaster, and now I'm looking to add the Cancer Mage.

01-17-06, 08:41 PM Try an evil warlock with 2 levels of chameleon. You can use some of the stuff from liber mortis to get really sick.
I have also seem some nasty UR priest builds.

01-18-06, 09:03 AM I haven't seen any, but the class is pretty solid as is. I am playing one right now and I haven't run into any problems with the mechanics myself.

01-18-06, 09:33 AM The party looks good so far except the Blighter, who will get laughed at. You will see what I mean when you start to optimize him. For his spot, I might go with a Necropolitan Druid with Corrupted Wildshape or a Necropolitan Druid/ Wizard/ Arcane Heirophant with Corrupted Wildshape and a Stitched Flesh Companion Familiar.

For the group's "Big Man" I would go with a Goliath Barbarian (with Substitution levels)/ Disciple of Dispater with a Large Great Falcion (Sandstorm) and Improved Critical. He should be critting on a 9-20 in conjunction with Iron Power.

I love party optimization by the way. Are you building more independent types or looking for chracters with the most group synergy (i.e. the tanker/ healer/ nuker/ damage dealer mold)?
