Just a question on a character i'm developing for a campaign. yes i know its cliche', but i'm trying to build a ranger based on aragorn, using the 3.5 ranger with the Complete Warrior non-spellcasting variant. i'm giving him a bastard sword with EWP and weapon focus feats for it. i'll take the bow progression of virtual feats since TWF doesnt go so well with the bastard sword, and also pick up pt. blank shot and precise in addition to the free rapid, manyshot, and improved precise shot, and the free track and endurance. i'll be making him an aasimar to reflect aragorn's numenorean hertiage, and taking 17 levels of 3.5 ranger and 2 levels of fighter. after the feats mentioned above i'll have 5 feats left that i can take. i'm considering Run, Iron WIll, Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Mounted Combat, Ride By Attack, and Spirited Charge, since if he can obtain an animal companion it will be a horse. just wondering which combination of feats you think would reflect aragorn best, and when would be the most optimal time to take the 2 fighter levels, and in what order these feats should be taken. let me know what you think, and if anyone's got better ideas than what i'd proposed i'd be glad to hear them. thanks for your help.
