| MiscDebris02-23-04, 02:54 PM | I'm needing a bit of help here. 3.5 lasher with 3 levels of bard. Two weapon. I'm level 6 right now. 32 point buy, must be human. I know I need Two Weapon Fighting and Weapon Focus (Whip). Exotic Weapon comes from the bard level. If you know of a feat that lightens a weapon one category, I would be most gracious. I'm less interested in damage, but more to-hit for the disarms and trips. Ideas? TIA MiscDebris |
| Boondoggle02-23-04, 04:30 PM | There is no offical update for the lasher, but it doesn't really need one. Also, bard 3 doesn't qualify for the PrC, so what are your other three levels? You also don't *need* TWF, it is just an option. The only way to make a whip a light weapon that I know of (asside from using a size smaller weapon, but that has attack penalties) is with the balanced enhancement (from some FR source). As far as hitting for trip attempts, all that requires is a touch attack. Disarming is rarely useful; tripping is almost always a better option. |
| JosephKell02-23-04, 04:35 PM | Disarming IS a better option for unarmed combatants. A Monk disarming a guy can take away a key weapon or item. Take a wand from a wizard or a sword from a fighter... Monks only get so many attacks when they flurry (not stackable with two-weapon fighting) so you might as well relieve foes of their gear. A Lasher using the 3rd hand special can disarm, and fling the item well out of reach of the foe, or just bring it back and hold it. |
