| bitnine07-16-03, 10:59 PM | All right, normally when I think of power attack, I don't think of monks. And I generally, come 3.5, won't think of twf. But here's something I was wondering about: Let's say you have a monk 1/fighter x/PrC x. Now, equip this man with a greatsword and have him make his off-hand attacks with his body. You'll both get the 2-for-1 power attack benefit for the greatsword, and a normal 1-1 benefit for the unarmed attacks (as power attack always applies to unarmed attacks). Normally, I would say that DR would hose this person soon enough. However, given the new DR, he'd be able to bypass much with a minor amulet of mighty fists and punch through many of the lower numbers. I don't think that it's anything that's going to shock and amaze, but I wanted to see if anyone saw any problems with this setup? |
