Vidman 10-22-03, 11:36 PM	OK. I noticed an article in Dragon Magazine that was about optimizing your Fighter. I think it was in issue 311, but it could have been 310. This is what gave me the Idea for Rangers. Think of this, make a ranger with an exceptional Dex score. Choose melee as his skill. Then he gets The Two-Weapon Fighting, and Improved Two-Weapon fighting Feats (as well as others). But take Quick Draw as his first feat. Now load your favorite one-handed throwing weapon on him en-mass. Also, save up your gold and buy enchanted throwing weapons. (I like throwing axes, but this could get heavy, knives or shuriken would work just as well.) Lots of attacks, and he/she is not afraid of Serious Melee fighting. :angel: :devil: :angel: :devil: Maybe this has been thought up before. I just thought I would bring it up.
Funny Slaughter 10-23-03, 03:40 AM	i think i got your point, just this question: how is your idea related to ranger? quickdraw is a rather generic feat and you dont need TWF to be capable of melee, in fact fighting with a greatsword and power-attack is much more effective in most cases. gs Funny
