my friends and I are going to be playing a 3E campaign and I need to create a very munchkin character. I need help with you people who have more experience with 3E. at this point I don't know if we are rolling stats or doing some sort of point buy, so I can't give you that information yet.

Id like some ideas for munckin characters (open to any class or combination at this point), with the following guidelines.

- pretty much limited to the core books + splats
- planned progression from 1st to 12th level
- you can't assume any magic items, munckiness must be achieved through skills, feats, and spell selection.
- limited to the core races, no templates, half-dragons, and what ever else is out there.

I will consider anything at this point, and will provide more info when i get it.

maybe we should first get a definition of munchkin.

but i doubt that you can make a munchkin character without equipment *g*

How about playing a Human Cleric?

If I were going to min/max a melee character...

Human cleric seems to be the way to go. Do you want a melee-type build? If so.. you will want extended and persistent feat. (persistent is in ToB)

It helps to have power attack, and wield a great sword. Have his diety be Kord, and you can be chaotic good.. lots of freedom there. You will get the great sword wapon focus for free. Take Luck and Strength as domains.

You can then throw in a bit of divine might, but that's only if your str and cha are good. Divine Vengence if you have a lot of undead in this compaign. Of course you want a high wisdom too..

This character will dish out more damage in a short period of time than will others. The only problem I see with a character like this, is the "routine" behind it might get old. Few tactics involved, however, it CAN do a ton of damage.
