Just arrived 3rd level of monk and can't decide which feat to take...

Hold the line

Ability focus: stunning fist ( atm I am fighting with a falchion most of the time - so perhaps not the best choice but soon my fists will be probably the better choice )

blind fight

improved initiative

any advice will be fine
(all 3.5 books are allowed - no OA )

What feats do you have already? What do you do for the party now? What do you imagine you'll do in the future, given your party composition? Are you looking at any PrCs?

Imp init is always good. Ability focus is ok, but you might want to grab things like Freezing the Lifeblood, or similar first.

Monks have alot of options, especially if you're considering PrCing.

I will take monk till level 11 ( and after that I have no idea, still a long way to go )

my ( half-orc with str 18 ) feats are
deflect arrows
combat reflexes
stunning fist

perhaps I should grab a reach weapon ( glaive etc. ) and take a better use of my combat reflexes ? but after all I am a monk :D

Err, no improved trip? I still don't know what you're doing in the party. Improved Natural Attack (Monster Manual) is viable for improving your unarmed damage. TWF works with IUS. Defensive throw and Grappling Block are both good, but i think theyre OA. Karmic Strike might be somethign else to head for, which will let you take advantage of Combat Reflexes. (A reach weapon would be better than the falchion though). Also consider roundabout kick (get an extra attack when you crit with an unarmed attack), which is nice on combat monks. Grappling monks can also work, so Improved Grapple is viable.

Improved trip is not available before level 6, for karmic strike you need combat expertise ( only have int 10 ). Improved natural attack is not available until level 6 - so perhaps improved grapple ?

I am still not pleased ;)

You could always go power attack into bullrush, shocktrooper or sunder, combat brute (or is it the other way around?). What does your str look like?
