| Sir Ringe04-25-05, 02:32 AM | I'm going to be playing in a new game, and since there are only two players, the DM has graciously allowed us to go gestalt. My current stats after rolling about 3 or 4 sets of stats that don't add up to +1, is now: 17 17 15 15 13 13. (makes me glad I got all the 2s and 3s out on the previous rolls :D ) I'm interested in playing a human Radiant Servant of Pelor, so I'm going to be Cleric 5 on one side of advancement. My dilemma comes with what to do with the other side. My partner will be a shaman/scout, so I'm going to need to be the frontliner. The high number of 15+ stats really makes me want to play a paladin, but I was thinking that I could really benefit from the number of feats that are going to be available has a fighter. My current plan is to take divine metamatic/persistant spell and take advantage of a 24 hr enlarge person for reach to keep people away while the scout runs around and picks off everyone. Anyone have any suggestions as to what class to take, and what feats? Also, I have a rules question. The RAW in CD doesn't specify that you need to meet the requirements for a metamatic feat to take the divine metamagic version of it. Thus, would I first need to take extend spell before I can take divine metamagic(persistent spell)? |

| Lina_Inverse04-25-05, 04:24 AM | all you need is an 18 wisdom. cleric/druid. done.what better frontline can you get? |
| deduke04-25-05, 04:51 AM | There is an errata on divine metamagic. You need the prerequisite metamagic feat for it so if you want to do divine metamagic persistant spell you need persistant spell first and therefore you also need extend spell. |
