Yes, the jumping is fun. You jump high and fall on opponent to make damage. Though, there are some things to take care about:

You have to weight enough to deal good amount of damage
You have to be considered an object for purposes of falling damage (no wis and cha or both 0)
You need to jump atleast 10ft high

I make this a 5th level optimization challenge, because jumping loses to spellcasting in the long run.

So posts away!

I think there was a build some back that accomplishes the exact same thing, except it was doable at lv1. The only drawback that the drop would as likely kill you as much as the enemy, but this is the kind of build that is worth sacrificing your character at least once, if only for the look on your dm's face. :D

Given the usual celerity with which the boards respond to lopsided challenges this this, in theory, all I need to do is snap my fingers and ..... ;)

I don't think it's possible just from jumping. Assuming the average opponent is 5' high, you'd have to jump 15' high to then fall 10' onto him. DC is 4x the height, so a 15' high-jump would have a DC of 60.

Could try a different route and climb a nearby wall or something to then drop down on an opponent. I don't know why falling objects have to be inanimate to count -- something falling on you is something falling on you. I'd have to look it up, but a falling object does like 1d6 per 200 pounds of weight per 10'. Even a plate-mail fighter doesn't weigh a huge amount.

One (practical?) use of falling is a druid doing a rhino-bomb. Gets up on a nearby ledge or something, turns into a 6000-pound rhino, and then falls onto someone. That'll leave a mark. It's not easy to pull off since you can't just turn into a bird then change shape again in mid-air to then fall.

Mighty leaping is a must for this build. It makes it so your jumps aren't limited by your height. That said it needs either 9 ranks in jump or a racial bonus to jump checks. 21 strength also. Rapotoran has a bonus, but not the needed strength.
Once a suitable race is found A level in sorceror and warlock well give you some spells and invocations to help the jump check. Raging to up your strength will help.
As to maximizing your weight, Natural Heavyweight(Planar Handboo) will increase your carrying capacity. And thus your weight.

As a desperate druid I dropped my flying dire wolf on a golem. 500lbs from 200ft saved our butts, even if it did violate my oath. That character was retired shortly thereafter.

Thrikreen Barbarian1 sorc 1.
THrikreen get plus 30 to jump as a racial bonus. Barbarian adds to base speed which inscreases jump skill by a proportional amount and 1st level jump spell also adds 30.
This gives you a base jump bonus of +64 with out a strength bonus.
