At level six, you can augment compression further, increasing the hide bonus it gives by 5. You add 1 rank in hide. Animal Affinity is another 2 to the check as well. And the Stealthy feat adds another 2. +62 to hide at level six. This means you can easily: Hide while charging. (-20), attack while remaning hidden (-20) hide when glitterdusted (-20). Hide after sniping (-20). At level six. After that ... the sky's the limit. Ninja Vanish!

Sargh 01-06-05, 05:42 PM	rod of wonder RAW makes you 1/12 your size. so for a gnome of 3-4ft that's 3-4 inches. That gives huge hide bonuses for size, like +18 i think if you go by the mm table.

(It could replace Stealthy -- I'd gladly trade +2 for the option of doing it anywhere. Plus, after you get 3rd level powers (and thus Hustle), you can do this effectively for free. By that point, you can probably get most of that bonus without resorting to psionic buffs.) By the way, for those suggesting alter self: This is a psychic rogue. He's getting his sneak attacks off, plus the powers he's listed are very useful to the generic rogue idea.

Course, this is assuming that the Whisper Gnome's bonus to Dex is less than +6, as the size just helps to make up for the loss of the Whisper Gnome's racial bonus to Hide.

However, when worn with the hood drawn up around the head, it gives the wearer a +5 competence bonus on Hide checks. Faint illusion; CL 3rd; Craft Wondrous Item, invisibility, creator must be an elf; Price 2,500 gp; Weight 1 lb. anyone can use it :D

scrollreader 01-12-05, 03:54 PM	You might also be able to add in additional circumstance modifiers (+2 for either Camoflage (underdark) or the camoflage kit (CAdv). If you can talk your DM into it. And the +1 alchemical bonus for blend cream is all good. +65, then. :P
