I am about to create a 6th level ranger for a game coming up (i wish it was first level but it was the only way i could play)
I always play rangers or rogues because they suit me well and this character is goin to be similar to a sniper or SAS team memeber and i was wondering if any of you have some good tips to help.
Any info would be great

Please and thank you

i think for your image you need two main things:
the ability to do quite some damage in a single shot
a high hide/move silently check

for the first i suggest a wand of hunters mercy, a 1st level ranger spell from motw. makes your next attack a hit and a critical threat as well.
combined with deepwood sniper for example you can get quite some critical damage.

max your ranks, get yourself some items.

i think core ranger fits your needs quite well. not the strongest of all possible builds but you want the skills as well as the abilities.
if you like to be more of a mobile combatant you can look for the scout as well (Cadv)

take a look at the build faq and the 3.5 ranger thread for more suggestions.

Check out the Sniper build in the Archer Build Thread linked in my sig. A mere 3- or 5-level detour from Ranger can get you the basic power of the build. You could go with only 3 levels of Peerless Archer, or you could also add in 2 levels of Deepwood Sniper to up the crit damage, as was suggested above.

There is also a spell in Complete Adventurer that makes crit threats auto confirm against your favored enemies, though I prefer Bless Weapon for its more general utility.

Deepwood Sniper is in Masters of the Wild, Peerless Archer is in Silver Marches.

The Archer thread - that you should have read already - is in KSB Snow Owl's signature, who already posted to this thread. I think you can find it.

You could bang your head against the wall until you found it. Or you could have looked at the convenient sticky threads at the top of the first page. Whichever works best for you.
