JaredSyn 10-12-05, 08:22 AM	I am building a female necromancer, 70 Points to distribute between the 6 stats. 3.5 Rules. Standard Gold for 7th level. I need help in designing an optimized character. Prestige classes are allowed, from any Wizards source. Any and all suggestions or help are greatly appreciated.

Ok, here's my first take: Opt. 1 - long-term planning (campaign character) Books needed: Player's Guide to Faerūn, Libris Mortis, SRD, Complete Arcane. Half-drow/lesser drow Cleric of Kiaransalee 3/Wizard (necromancy) 3/True Necromancer 1 (go for: Cleric 3/Wizard 3/True Necromancer 3/Yathrinshee 1/True Necromancer +10; use Practiced Spellcaster on Cleric and Wizard for a total caster level 19 cleric (max. 8th level spells) and 19 wizard (max. 8th level spells), and caster level 41 for necromancy effects! - if you can get the feats chose Undeath domain (free Extra Turning), max out Charisma and go for Divine Metamagic... note that you can rebuke undead as a level 17 cleric!) Opt. 2 - most effective at level 7 That's quite hard... necromancy kicks in quite late (IMHO). I don't really know if I'd take Wizard (necromancy) at this level. Try with Cleric (perhaps Kiaransalee again, for Undeath domain) and go for Cleric 7 or something like that. The rebuke undead ability is definitively worth it at low levels (ask your DM if you may "own" a little undead army right from the start). You should have a look at Libris Mortis, since there are some nice undead-boosting feats in this book. Another option (perhaps one I'll play in RttToEE): Again Lesser-Drow/Half-drow Monk 2/Cleric of Kiaransalee 4/Sacred Fist 1-X... Again I'd take Divine Metamagic + Quicken Spell, Cha 14 right from the start for 9 turns/day (with Undeath domain), this allows you to effectively cast up to three spells per day quickened without raising their spell level. Your BAB will be quite good (+5 at level 7, gaining one additional attack at level 8 + flurry of blows) and your damage output will be decent (with clerical buffs). Hope this helps a bit Elephant Jack Ah, I almost forgot... Clerics of Kiaransalee must be female - this could work for you.
