| tsuyoshikentsu10-15-06, 04:28 PM | I actually need help this time. :D Here's what I have so far: Codename "Ambrose," Race X Necropolitan Dread Necromancer 1/Favored Soul 2/Master of Shrouds 5 Feats: SF (Conj), Augment Summoning DN is there to heal self and allies, plus rebuking; FS because at the level I'm using MoS at, you'd get 3rd-level casting with either a Clr or a FS and FS has more spells for undead-summoning. DN is first because for reasons utterly beyond my comprehension K(R) is not a class skill for FS. Now: what do I do about race, feats, and items? And could anyone suggest a better casting class than FS? |

Also, the undead type has alot of immunities that come with it that could be quite useful in an ECL 8 arena fight. |

I haven't opened Libris Mortis in a long time to confirm, though, and IDHTBWM at the moment to check. If you're meant to be producing a veritable spigot of ravenous dead, and thus having a wall of undead between you and the foe, it pays to make those undead as badass as possible. ...Speaking of, what's the ECL on a death knight again? |

| tsuyoshikentsu10-15-06, 10:46 PM | Thanks, you all! Phoenix: I considered TTS, and I might have to use it. I do, as Phaedrus mentioed, like the immunities Undead get, however, and I probably won't be using rebukes for much else unless I get in a control war. Tempest: I'll ask the DM, but I don't think Corpsecrafter'll work. I'm gonna be summoning undead, not raising or creating them. Also, I need to have at least five spellcaster levels (And I mean in the Sage sense ;) ) so DK is out. |
| Hanniball10-16-06, 01:11 AM | A summoner in an arena environment? Rapid Spell will let you get your undead out front quicker and back away from the enemies in the same round. If you're just using Rebuke for bolstering, Quicken Turning allows you to do it as a free action. either way...just my 2 cp |
