There are only a few ways to do this. One is Wizard 5/Mindbender 1/Ur-priest 2/Mystic Theurge 8/PrC 4, where PrC is any PrC that advances arcane casting. End result is 18th level wizard casting, and 10th level ur-priest casting at CL 19.

There is also Wizard 3/Druid 3/Mystic Theurge 4/Arcane Heirophant 10. Level 17 wizard and druid casting.

Then there's the Beholder Theurge, at Psychic Warrior or Psion 5/XYZ 1/Beholder Mage 2/Ur-Priest 2/Mystic Theurge 8/XYZ 2.

Alternately, Bard 7/Mindbender 1/Ur-Priest 2/Sublime Chord 2/Mystic Theurge 8.

Can I ask why you're trying to play an arcane/divine caster for the purposes of a single duel? The benefit of that sort of build becomes much more apparent over an extended period of time… in a single duel, I think I'd much prefer a gish (mage/warrior) anyday.

The feats i was thinking of were... Sudden maxamize, sudden empower, sudden still, sudden silent, quicken , sudden quicken, sudden extend, extend spell, persistant spell and craft contengancy (Spl?). any ideas/suggestions on feats?

also can you list useful items using the wealth by lvl chart?

thanks for your time

become a theurge, but since theurges suck beyond having 1 caster levels, immediately switch out to say....the geomancer. Pick thuerge for every level of geomancer from then on, so you get all the powers of the nifty geomancer (decent HD, skills, and mixing of divine/arcane spell attributes) while leveling up your theurge caster level each time, which would in turn level up your 2 different caster levels. ////////
im using this so now my template is
wizard 5, mindbender 1, Ur-Priest 2, Mystic Theurge 1, Geomancer 10 and the last level as either a Heirophant for spell like ability (quickened Cure serious wounds 2/day) or for fighter so i can use heavy armor with all my casting.

the feats I have chosen have right now are Iron will(needed fo Ur-Priest)
Spell focus (needed for Ur-priest) Extend spell Persistant spell, IMproved initiative, Craft Contingancy, Sudden maxamize, sudden empower,
Divine Metamagic(quicken), and extra turning. with extra turning and Divine metamagic i can use Quicken instantly 2/day.
i took the flaw that gives -1 AC. and performed the path to power giving up his familiar to get a +2 to his Int and a bonus metamagic feat.

any suggestions for alternate feats? also any suggestions for The drifts from Geomancer. last any gear that you think is an important item for him to have. i was thinking a greater metamagic rod of quicken so he could spontaniously quicken any 5 spells a day.

EDIT: if this doesnt work ill use Wizard 5,Mind bender 1, Ur-Priest 2, Mystic Theurge 8, Archmage 3, Heirophant 1 (yay for quickened cure serious wounds 2/day)

Aside from that not working,

Why don't you try to use the build that gets 9 Arc, 9 Div, and something over 5 Psi, i thinks its in the beholdermage trick, off to look for it.

well with craft contengancy and heavy armour thanks to geomancer i can use all those nice divine buff spells by getting all of them to go off at once when i say a triger word. so since its only for one fight he can blow 50k gold on contengancy and start off Divine power & rightious might and magic vestment as well as any others that seem really usefull ( suggestions?)

EDIT: where is the beholdermage and arcane heirophant located?

Beholder Mage is in Lords of Madness, and can be accessed using my Dirty Trick #1, found in the signature below.

Arcane Heirophant is in Races of the Wild.

So no other suggestions?

If the character is just for a duel, there is one trick that can one shot pretty much anyone (with 20 or less HD). Using, say, my Ur-Theurge, your CL will be 20 for arcane (Practiced Spellcaster) and 20 for divine. Cast a persistant (divine metamagic) Consumptive Field, getting both caster levels to 30. Blast him with a MDJ to kill any protective spells, then use a divinely quickened Word of [Alignment] to kill him with no save.

Unless he has natural immunity, or a ring of greater counterspells, or a spellblade, or a couple AMFs, or since you get buff time, he's using a hide-orientated build and is invisible, or he's the same alignment as whatever you cast (since you're not using detect evil), or contingency spells, or he wins initiative, or. . .

There's a lot of ways around that trick.

Or he took all four Rituals of Alignment and has the Evil, Good, Law and Chaos subtypes. "I cast Dictum!" "Sorry, I'm Lawful." "I last Word of Chaos!" "Hah… nearly got me there. Sorry, I'm Chaotic." "Holy Word!" "Yep, I'm good." "Blasphemy!" "Did I say good? Yeah, I'm evil too. I'm a pretty screwed up kinda' guy, really."

Consumptive Field is in Libris Mortis. I think it can also be found in the Spell Compendium.
