| duhtroll03-24-05, 03:24 PM | I'm not trying to rain on this idea, but we were just looking at a new build for rogues like this and basically came up with "rogue" since nothing really stands out in any PrC for them. Arcane trickster notwithstanding, and not including evil. I'd like to hear what others say 'cuz I'm not really seeing an advantage to rogue PrCs. -A |

An additional die of sneak attack is less powerful than 2 levels of spellcasting, right? So why are there so many prestige classes that offer full spellcasting progression, yet not a single one with full sneak attack progression? IMHO, WotC doesn't know how to design rogue prestige classes. If you want a prestige class that complements rogue, look at Occult Slayer or Holy Liberator, which at least give full BAB and some additional offensive abilities while reducing some of the rogue's biggest weaknesses (vulnerability to fort saves and will saves). |
