Umm, bard 20. Start with a 16 int, 14 cha and pump your rediculous amount of stat bonuses into cha. Just take a few feats from S&S if you'd like.

anymore guys?

The party has 2 meatshields, and a wiz/fighter working on the EK. SO melee is pretty much taken care of. Thinking I should go the archery route..or a thrower...maybe daggers or hand axes? SOmething ranged...I also contemplated the Bare Knuckle type of guy who just fights wizzies. Tumble in, grapple the sucker, then pund the crap out of him. Not something I woudl do against a fighter, but most mages should be weaker than my Bard.

what do you think?

I say go Rogue 3/Bard 17 for trapfinding and sneak attacks and use a bow.

Lingering Song from S&S is a good bardic feat.

I'm working on a bard (work in progress) who is going Bard x/Nar Deamonbinder 1/Virtuoso 10. What this gives you is lots of bardic music abilities, and summoning spells up to 8th level. Then I plan to take a druid cohort so that HE can summon natures allies.

The min/max concept is to be using my bardic song on as many creatures as possible.

I think your Bare Knuckle guy would be WAY too specialized to be of much general use to a party. If that is the shtick you want, go with Monk.

Given that melee is taken care of, you probably want to maximize your buffing abilities. One great build for your party would be:

Bard 10, Ur-Priest 1, Virtuosos 9.

Ur-priest is in the Book of Vile Darkness and requires an Evil alignment, but if your party isn't squeemish about such things...

What you do is you apply all your "+1 caster level in existing class" to Ur-Priest, giving you all the cleric spells in addition to 0-4th level bard spells.

You can also do this with Apostle of Peace (Book of Exhalted Deads) if you want to be good. You have to put up with a lot of vows that you have to take to qualify. The spell list isn't as good, but that's just because they removed all the spells from the cleric list that interfere with your vow of non-violence.

You won't get a lot of sexy combat effects, but between your enchantments, your illusions, your bardic song and your cleric spells, your party will love you.

Try Bard16/Warrior Skald4

for a good melee bard at late levels.

well guys I appreciate the help. Psifon I really like the looks of that build. Unfortuneatley the plan has changed, and the party needs a rogue. Thanks anyways...and if I ever need it I will ask again for help.
