A bit of a challenge [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-12-05, 06:14 PM Ok I need some help for a built, I'm going to retire my druid since the rest of the party acts like they are the spawn of the lord of murder and are about to slaughter some fey. :weep:

-No "good" classes, by that I mean alignment wise, or I will get PK.
-Stat generation is 4D6, keep 3 and add any ones you roll. And then add 3 points to stats at the end.
-Starting level 5.
-Starting gold, whatever the gold roll in the starting package is... and I don't actually get the package.
-One basic armor and weapon, one can be magical, but the DM selects the enchantment.
-If the enchantment is pretty similar to another, he always uses the one that costs the most (for example, the wilding armor and the armor that changes shape from CV, he only allows the wilding.)
-No campaign specific book (No FRCS or Eberron stuff)
-No region specific books (aka frostburn or sandstorm)
-Only 3.5 books, with the exception of BOVD. It doesn't matter that they haven't been updated, he won't allow them.
-No psionics
-No classes that require a ritual or hard event, especially involving evil.
-No UA.

Anyways, anyone have any idea of a poweful (preferably melee) build that could work with all these restrictions?

I was thinking perhaps a warlock, they have interesting abilities.

Disciple of Dispator and Frenzied Beserkers are nice choices... Frenzied Beserkers are game breakers... Disciple of Dispators are only moderately broken classes.

05-12-05, 08:43 PM Is the Arms and Equipment Guide 3.5? I vote for Frenzied Berzerker with a Wrathful Healing weapon and Karmic Strike. :P

Anyways, my last characters spine got severed today, and apparently the clerics of pelor are greedy, so now I'm starting again, at half exp, making me start at level 3 :weep: 7 level difference between me and the highest guy.
