The idea behind the build is to combind the mystic theurg and sublime chord to have the cleric, bard and wizard spell list (note: I know I am missing ranger, paly, and durid only spells).

Level 1-7: Get levels in bard and cleric untile you have 4 in bard and 3 in cleric. will also want to get the feats Skill Focus (perform), and Versatile Performer (CAdv), to boost your perform skill for later.

Level 8-10: Take levels in Mystic Theurg. you will have level 3 bard and cleric spells at level 10. I suggest now to take metamagic feats that are effcted by caster level, like maximize spell

Level 11-12: Sublime Chord. You gain the wizard spell list and the Songe of Arcane Power. This is were your perform feats help to raise your caster level

Level 13 on: Mystic Theurge will now increase your caster level in cleric and your new bard-wizard hybrid.

Alternitvely you can do the build with durid instead of cleric.

Any advice on how to improve the build is welcomed, Thank you

Replace Cleric with Archivist from Heroes of Horror. He's a spellbook-user, like a wizard, but can put cleric or druid spells in the spellbook. This opens up the other major list for you, leaving out just a few pali-ranger spells.

If you replace Cleric with Druid, look at Arcane Heirophant from Races of the Wild, or maybe Folchluchan Lyrist from CompAdv (though Lyrist requires a 2-level rogue divert to get Evasion). They are more potent classes than Mystic Theurge generally, giving you other perks aside from the +1/+1 caster benefit.

Own a Tome of Ancient Lore – relic in Complete Divine which contains all spells. Might be useful to you. Archivist/Wizard is going to work a lot better.

Assuming you have at least 16 CHA, you will need 7 bard levels or 13 CHA and 8 bard levels to be able to cast L3 bard spells.

Actually, if a spell appears on any Divine list anywhere, an Archivist can scribe it into his spellbook. There's only a handful of spells not on a domain list somewhere, and those few can be obtained with a Thurge build.

Its true, an Archivist/Sublime Chord would have every spell except arcane spells that aren't on the Wizard or Bard list - which are few and far between, although there may be a few Assassin-only ones. Now if there was only an Arcane Equivalent to the Archivist - it would be especially nice because of PrC spell lists like the Telflamer Shadowlord (Improved Invis as 2nd level spell), and the Demonologist (Greater Bestow Curse @ 3rd level).

You don't need sublime Chord since there's a variant Divine Bard whose spells are accessible to the Archivist

colm_l is right. If your DM allows Unearthed Arcana material, every Bard spell is available as a Divine spell. Thus, Wiz3/Archivist3/Mystic Theurge10 is the start of the build that will get you *almost* all of the spells. Find another dual-class thas that you like to cap off the last 4 levels. Along the way, grab a Tome of Ancient Lore relic and keep a regular spellbook (probably Boccob's Blessed Book) with you for those spells you know you'll want every day (so you don't suffer the 10% chance to miss finding the spell.

With this build, the only things you're missing are spells for special prestige classes, and the Wu Jen-only spells. If "in the book" you just mean the PH, then this build should cover you.

Here's a little up date. I may be useing this build in an upcomeing campain, but it's in Fearun.

The Unearthed Arcana is out, the Archivist is out, I think I can get Arcane Hierophant, maybe

The DM is only allowing stuff from the Core books, any Forgotten Realms book (it must be 3.5 though), the Complete _______ Books (the stuff form these books must have DM aprovel, but i'm very good at presonal dipomacy), He has never said any thing about the Races of ____ Books, those are up in the air.

I know a good deal about the all the above except Fearun. I know nothing about the feats and presclasses of the seetting. And take note the build can work will almost any race, aside form the ones with Charisma penalties.

There's already a build that can do this - it's called Artificer.

Read the thread a little more carefully, Subedei; it's stated several times that it will be in the Forgotten Realms...
