Ok, normally I know its not nice to ask for you to build me a character but I need exactly that.

What would the strongest lv3 character be using Core+Complete series?

The character should be made using 24 point buy and would be used in 1v1 duels. Fire away guys :D

The problem with your request is that it's almost exactly like asking "Which is strongest: rock, paper, or scissors?"

It depends entirely on what the enemy is bringing to the hoe-down. If your opponent always throws scissors, then rock is great. If your opponent always throws paper, not so much.

Likewise--if there are a lot of low-will-save melee types in the mix, then a spellcaster with Charm Person rocks. If there are a lot of mages in the mix, then a fighter with a high Will save and a bow is great.

You can't really go wrong with a Cleric, though.

I apologise for the wrongly set question.

I'll rephrase. If you were about to enter a 1v1 duel with a level 3 character, what would you play?

Very lame request, but i'll throw my 2 cents in... cause i'm bored.

Half-Orc Fighter 2/Barb 1
Feats: Power Attack, X, X, X
-Consider improved sunder for 1v1 duels. You can probably smash an opponent's weapon at this level without too much difficulty.

when you say duel do you mean melee duel or do you mean wizard duel? If you mean melee duel, i'd suggest you play a swashbuckler with high dex and intelligence or a 1 Barbarian/2 Fighter with a spiked chain, power attack, improved trip, and a high strength score. It'd help to know if you intend to play this character past level 3 and what ideas you had in mind for him besides "what's a powerful level 3?" Just about anything can be a powerful level 3.

A human palladin with Mounted Combat, Spirited Charge, and Ride by Attack. Use a lance and a tower shield, and bring a bow in case someone shows up that flies/levitates out of range.
