ok, this will probably be a very odd character build.
first off, this is going to be my first evil campaign.
the DM stated he'd be willing to use any source but BESM.(i own the books for that, and agree never mix BESM with anything resembling core)
Based loosely on the novel, "Evil by Necessity". our goal is to return evil to the world (or in my opinion make evil more powerful than good!! mwahahaha)

So, here's what i'd like some ideas on.
I get to make a level 3 character. but i prefer planning in advance.
So I chose my favorite race, Drow. The DM said fine, but i better be good at disguise. Disguise, in my mind says rogue, which is my favorite class. I am also fond of Spellfire, so my big source of ideas is Faerun. then I thought I'd experiment with my new book, Weapons of Legacy.

So what is it that I really want?

A drow rogue. Who is good at disguises (maybe even trained and bred to infiltrate other societies), intrigue, politics.... basically a spy/assassin. With Spellfire. weilding this item of legacy.

Description:
The Sword Cane of Thraxis D'verest is an intriguing weapon. The weapon and tool of a master politician and deceiver, it appears harmless when sheathed. Unsheathed, it is a rapier, made from red tinted metal, with spideres engraved along the blade, and odd runes dancing upon it's length.

Omen: The red tinted blade has runes that pulse and slide along the intricately acid etched designs of spiders. When sheathed gives off a magical aura easily defined as an enhancement to sense motive. (Which is untrue.
Sword Cane of Thraxis D'verest

The Deal of D'verest(DC 15)
You must overcome an encounter with a foe or group of foes whose challenge rating is equal or greater to your character level. This may be done by any non-combative means, such as Intimidation, Bluffing, Bribing, etc.

The Assasination of Walther(DC 25)
You must kill one figure of authority(such as a mayor, governor, king, general) single handedly, without being seen.

The Folly of Drekki Zvatnis(DC 31)
You must visit the grave of Zvatnis, and dance, spit, or in some way disrespect his burial site.

if you like, edit the cane all you want. ^^

As i progress, i want to take spellfire channeller, and possibly Champion of Legacy(not really important, champion of legacy is really a trivial class)

can i do this myself? yes. however, i am in no way an expert, so i would just love it to death if people would give me some ideas and examples of what they would do themselves? you can use any route you want to my objectives, as long as it's a starts as a Drow Rogue, with Spellfire, and the Cane Sword, at 3rd level.

Thanks for even reading this far.

Quick suggestion: Use a lesser version of the Drow, LA +2 sucks.

...i almost forgot about level adjustment >< hehehehe. jeez. thats what i get for running a slayers campaign for a year and only working on a videogame campaign setting in my free time. Is there a lesser form of the drow? elves are rare in this world as it is, so if need be i could use a human.... i just really like drow.

just looked up savage race progression, so assume i start up as a La +0 drow

another edit and question.
one, since spellfire is a ranged touch attack, or melee attack, can you backstab with it.
two, spellfire is a standard action, so could you do a full round attack action, and if having multiple attacks, (TWF high bab, etc), use spellfire in your off hand to attack?

If what you say is true, yes, you can add SA dice to anything ranged attack that requires a roll to hit, HOWEVER, you have to be within 30 ft.

two, spellfire is a standard action, so could you do a full round attack action, and if having multiple attacks, (TWF high bab, etc), use spellfire in your off hand to attack?

No, a Full Attack uses a full round action to use your attacks, since spellfire specifically requires a standard action, you can't combine it with a Full attack

Mine in red.

Out of curiousity, are you a Drow because you like Drow, or do you like their abilities?

If you just like looking like a Drow, be a Changeling with the Racial Emulation feat(Races of Eberron). Now, you look like a Drow(with a decent bonus on Disguise checks), have no LA, and because of Racial Emulation, can even use Drow only items.

If you plan on using a Legacy weapon, Legacy Champion is a must, if only for being able to perform the least and greater rituals for free.

A +7 rapier + abilities for 2,300 gp? YEs PLEASE!

hrmmm, put that way, all your doing is trading 2 levels of other classes for a really cheap pig sticker of doom. so yes, i'll definately have to use CoL. thanks for pointing that out. however, i really like drow as a race. they are the most interesting monster races short of devil/demons, celestials, vampires, dragons, and illithids. i solved the LA problem by using a Savage Race progression. and i like spellfire. lets flank someone, make a touch attack, dump, oh 13 levels of spell fire into you, and then, hey, i have 5d6 more backstab damage... it gets sick. then as a channeler you get rapid blast? gets nasty. which i love.

my theme is I want to be a drow that will go down in the books as the greatest threat to good the world has ever encountered! mwahahaha.....

back to sanity...

i've also seen a thread on lesser drow, who were basically really low caste drow males that had been bred and trained to infiltrate enemy posts. i need to find that. however, your changeling has merit, specifically if he was used by drow to begin with. i'll research those.

Actually, I just had an idea. An idea that would actually be enough for me to play a Drow(I don't share your love of Drow)

Would be interesting if a Matron, to increase her status in the Underdark, secretly began capturing Changlings, forcing them to shift into Drow, and brainwashing them into thinking they actually are Drow, with lessons on typically Drow behavior and such(as mechanically shown by the Racial Emulation feat).

When that's all done, the Matron will then convince the Changling(that now thinks it's a Drow) that it was always a Drow, and the vigorious training it's been through was to mystically focus their inner magically abilities to allow them to change form, abbit, at the lose of their other abilities.

Make for an interesting character. Especially if your follower players metagamed, and wondered why you had no SR other SLa's.

Them: "Why can't you resist spells?"

You: "I've evolved beyond the point of such 'weakness'."

I quite like that idea.
