Hi all,
I have a friend that has used the CO board to make a spiked chain fighter for an upcoming game. I'm wanting to make a character that would be a good melee fighting partner. I was thinking of a rogue/swashbuckler/fighter? that could benefit from AoO and a prone opponent. Or maybe a reach fighter myself, with a quisarme?
Feats I'm considering...
Combat Reflexes
Deft Opportunist
Expert Tactitian
Karmic Strike?
I would be interested to see what others had to say. Books are Core, completes, races, (MAYBE PHB2 and ToB but I'm not 100% certain, so focus on the first ones. This is all I can put here now. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks

Well, a knight would be good since they would never be able to leave your friend's reach (if you had reach too).
Paladin would be good. A chain fighter will have weak saves so you can pick up where he's weak. Heck you can even share him some saves with the right feats.

Focus on damage, dont worry about to-hit. You also dont have to worry about AC that much, assuming he made a good chain fighter that trips every chance he gets. Perhaps a barbarian with a great-axe or somthing that can dish out pain. OR to frustrate your DM, make another chain figther. Everything gets tripped all day!
