I had wanted to make a Sorcerer/Druid-ish character and was looking for advice. I have PHB, CW, CA, BoVD, Libris Mortis and Fiend Folio to work with. Any help would be appreciated. And yes, my DM is a nut ^_^

Out of curiousity, what kind of adventures does a level 65 epic group have?

As for what to do with your character, I don't have the foggiest idea, develop epic level spells I guess, or focus on epic wildshaping into gargantuan creatures or whatever the limit there is, lots of abusable epic critters I'm sure.

Anything with an animal companion, since I believe that BoED let you have a Solar as a familiar, it'd take care of underlings with that nice bow and has a lot of spell-like abilities.

What are you going to do (since clearing out the abyss and the nine hells is WAAAAAAAAAY below anything you should be facing)?

The common wisdom on these boards is that epic is inherently distorting. Level 30 strains the limits of the DnD game, by level 65 you're talking about almost non-sensical levels of power.

i had a 31st level sorcerer with arcane prepartion and 10 levels of mage of the arcane order and 10 levels incantrix and 5 levels archmage. he could cast a quickened maximized empowered meteor swarm twice a day and in the same round was really wrong and cruel.

At level 65:

DM: Ao stands before you.
Players (without even rolling): We kill him.

About the only way to kill a party of level 65 players for good is to have the multiverse implode spontaneously.

I'd suggest a straight 65 Expert build. *nod nod*

Well... if your DM is a Dicefreaks fan, he probably has plenty of monsters that can stand up to even an optimized 65th level party, and the stuff in their version of Hell would definitely stop you. :D

I think I would go with a duel caster, since the loss of a few spellcaster levels here and there, and probably even a few wildshape levels, isn't a big deal. I thought I remembered someone talking about a druid prestige class that let you keep wildshape and get both druid and arcane caster levels, but I don't know, maybe I'm crazy. I'd also probably try getting at least a +16 base attack bonus pre-epic, so you can get 4 iterative attacks per round. So maybe go druid and throw in some Warshaper levels (I think that gets full BAB, right?). Oh, the Fochluchan Lyricist might be a way to go, also.

Can you be Evil? Your books would certainly work better with an evil build. ;) I have a True Necromancer that you could build onto, hehe. Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=5381919#post5381919) is the build.

About the only way to kill a party of level 65 players for good is to have the multiverse implode spontaneously.

Actually, at that point the wizard will probably send the party back in time. Y'know, as a reflex action.

Fighter: Hey look! An endless wall of fire advancing at the speed of plot!
Mage: *click*
Fighter: Hey look! Cavemen are carving a wheel out of mud!

I ran an epic game once. Character creation took three months. The game lasted all of two hours, most of that was farting around.

I was in an epic game once. We became epic because we were level 8 and sent a goblin village up in flames by constucting a giant wooden keg, and filling it via a decanter of endless booze set to 'flammable.' Then while every goblin in a three mile radius was asleep, we coated the entire town in said booze and threw a tindertwig. Then the DM was silly enough to give us XP for every single goblin. He did this deliberately. He still regretted it.

Anyhoo, after my level 33 sorceror could dish out 4800 points of damage a round (and I wasn't even really trying) and had judicious use of time stop. I think I died like three times in one combat, but the cleric could cast true ressurection once a round for free.

Good times.

Seriously though, a level 65 commoner is the only option.

Druid 3/Sorceror 4/Arcane Heirophant 10/Mystic Theurge 10/Druid 4/Geomancer 10/True Necromancer 14/Dweomerkeeper 10.

Casting Druid/Arcane Mage.
Geomancer's ability to swap divine and arcane spells should allow you to use Arcane Disciple to qualify for Dweomerkeeper and True Necromancer, using the rules for LN followers of mystra in the FRCS.

Ninja 1/Druid 10/Sorceror 10/Arcane Heirophant 10/Warshaper 5/Nature's Warrior 5/Master of Many Forms 10/Arcane Heirophant 11-22/Daggerspell Shaper 2,

Be a Minion of Thoth (LA bought off). Human. Take able learner.

Epic Wildshaper. Who happens to have the ability to cast epic spells. Requires Additional Favored Class (Ninja). But you should probably have a spare feat.

Hmm, what book is the Arcane Hierophant and True Necromancer from? The books belong to our DM and it would be helpful if I didn't have to look through them all, I won't be the only one making a character. Thanks in advance. ^_^

Also, at level 65, what happens if a Cleric cast Divine Power?
