| jensun12-14-03, 03:35 PM | Stats are definately Int, Con, Dex. Dragon 315 has some interesting new regional feats for Greyhawk. One of them is called Greyhawk Method. Basically it gives you 4 free spells at level up rather than 2 and expands the Wizard Bonus Feat list. If you are only allowed a single PrC the first thing you will have to decide is if you want Archmage. If you do then you have a long wait. If not then: MotAO works well for a crafter/utility wizard Elemental Savant goes well with the average blaster mage (dependant on how your GM changes their Spell Power) Loremaster is an OK pick Sacred Exorcist is strong with its increased BAB and HD If BoED is allowed then I would seriously look at Celestial Mystic For race Himan is best swiftly followed by Dwarf. If your GM allows you downtime then crafting feats are your friend. Craft Wondrous and weapons and Armour will take you a long way. If your GM throws you into adventure after adventure with little or no down time then take combat orientated feats such as Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, Improved Initiaitve. Metamagic Feats generally wont help you a great deal as a Wizard except for Extend and Quicken. Persistent is debatable as the list of great Wizard spells it is useful for is somewhat shorter than the Cleric one. Finally if your GM likes to screw the players then either play a sorcerer or take Spell Mastery. |
